esbc_validate command will not be executed if “load” command for its
header fails and will further execute the source command for bootscript,
without its validation and boot process continues.
To halt the boot process in case secure boot header is not loaded
successfully, esbc_validate command is invoked separately after “load”
command. The secure boot validation of the bootscript header will fail
(if header is not loaded) and halts the boot process, which prevent source
command from execution.

Build an SPL which can be started via SCIF download mode on R-Car Gen3
and allows loading and executing U-Boot uImage with the next stage code.
This is also useful for starting e.g. ATF BL2, which inits the hardware
and returns to the U-Boot SPL, which can then load e.g. U-Boot proper.
The H3, M3-W, M3-N SoCs have plenty of SRAM for storing the U-Boot SPL
while the payload, e.g. ATF BL2, executes, so there is no problem here.
However, E3 and D3 have much less SRAM, hence the loader uses a trick
where it copies itself beyond the area used by BL2 and executes from
there. That area is 32kiB large and not enough to hold U-Boot SPL, BSS,
stack and malloc area, so the later two are placed at +0x4000 offset
from start of SRAM, another area not used by ATF BL2. To make things
even more complicated, the SCIF loader cannot load to the upper 32kiB
of the SRAM directly, hence the copying approach.

The MPC8349EMDS configuration was the basis for the sbc8349, so it also
contains its SDRAM option.
Since
* the SDRAM has to be soldered onto the board,
* the sbc8349 never used the support, and
* the support never worked (see previous patch fixing it),
we can assume that the support on the sbc8349 is an artifact created by
copying the MPC8349EMDS config wholesome.
Hence, instead of creating a separate sbc8349 config that supports
SDRAM, we can remove the SDRAM option for this board.

MPC83xx uses CONFIG_83XX_CLKIN instead of CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ to set the
system clock. To migrate the architecture, we can replace
CONFIG_83XX_CLKIN with CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ.
To do this
* replace all occurrences of CONFIG_83XX_CLKIN with CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ
* set CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ to the old value of CONFIG_83XX_CLKIN in all
MPC83xx config files
Signed-off-by: Mario Six <mario.six@gdsys.cc>
CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ is the standard way to set the system clock
frequency. On MPC83xx, CONFIG_83XX_CLKIN is used for this purpose.
Hence, the obvious way is to replace CONFIG_83XX_CLKIN with
CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ.
A few MPC83xx boards use the CONFIG_83XX_CLKIN variable for computing
CONFIG_SYS_NS16550_CLK. This makes it harder to replace
CONFIG_83XX_CLKIN.
But the value of the multiplicator can be read from the SPMR register.

function, as other architectures do.

DTs are imported from Linux 5.0.11, commit d5a2675b207d .
Currently supported are UART, ethernet and RPC SPI. The board
can be booted from RPC SPI by writing the u-boot.bin binary
to the beginning of the SPI NOR, e.g. using the "sf" command.
The board can also be booted via JTAG by setting text base to
0x20020000, loading u-boot.bin there via JTAG and executing it
from that address.

This patch tries to implement a generic watchdog_reset() function that
can be used by all boards that want to service the watchdog device in
U-Boot. This watchdog servicing is enabled via CONFIG_WATCHDOG.
Without this approach, new boards or platforms needed to implement a
board specific version of this functionality, mostly copy'ing the same
code over and over again into their board or platforms code base.
With this new generic function, the scattered other functions are now
removed to be replaced by the generic one. The new version also enables
the configuration of the watchdog timeout via the DT "timeout-sec"
property (if enabled via CONFIG_OF_CONTROL).
This patch also adds a new flag to the GD flags, to flag that the
watchdog is ready to use and adds the pointer to the watchdog device
to the GD. This enables us to remove the global "watchdog_dev"
variable, which was prone to cause problems because of its potentially
very early use in watchdog_reset(), even before the BSS is cleared.

If SPL post-reloc stage puts the stack into DDR, U-Boot should be able to
do that, too.
The reason to do so is that this way, U-Boot initial stack can be larger
than SPL initial stack. In situations where we want to save the SPL
in SRAM for next boot without reloading, this prevents overwriting the
SPL DTB in SRAM if U-Boot stack usage gets too high.
To achieve this, the malloc definition for a10 is moved up and sligthly

Currently, Vybrid's sdboot variable tries to load the kernel from /boot
of the root partition (typically second partition when using the sdcard
image). However, since we moved to flash the kernel in a separate UBI
volume, we no longer deploy the kernel/device tree to /boot, hence
sdboot does not work in its current state.
Load the kernel and device tree from the first (typically FAT) partition
as customary on all Toradex modules.

Shrink the environment size for 3 reasons:
- reading the environment it is slow, therefore having a smaller env
improves the speed.
- usually in the environment there are only few variables, therefore
the enviromnent is almost empty.
- because the same image can run on different boards which may have
different flashes with different page sizes, the CONFIG_ENV_SECT_SIZE
can't be change, it is set to least common multiple of the page sizes.
Adding this change improves the boot time. Before update for reading the
entire environment it took ~850 msec, after the change it takes ~40 msecs.

v2019.01 commit 07a8060a12 ("ARM: rmobile: Convert to bootm_size")
attempted converting to bootm_size of 256 MiB below targets:
- include/configs/alt.h
- include/configs/gose.h
- include/configs/koelsch.h
- include/configs/lager.h
- include/configs/porter.h
- include/configs/rcar-gen3-common.h
- include/configs/silk.h
- include/configs/stout.h
The update didn't fully work on R-Car3 due to the
CONFIG_SYS_BOOTMAPSZ=8MiB definition left by v2016.09 commit
e525d34b47 ("ARM: rmobile: Add support salvator-x board"),
which is explained in below README excerpt:
----8<----
CONFIG_SYS_BOOTMAPSZ:
[..] If CONFIG_SYS_BOOTMAPSZ is undefined,
then the value in "bootm_size" will be used instead.
----8<----
Allow the original commit to accomplish its purpose on R-Car3 targets
by removing the CONFIG_SYS_BOOTMAPSZ definition.

Booting recently Linux -next kernels on 32-bit Tegra devices has been
failing when using the 'multi_v7_defconfig' kenrel configuration because
the size of has grown such that it is overwriting the FDT blob.
Current Linux -next kernels built with the 'multi_v7_defconfig' have a
total size of ~19.5MB (where .text is ~12.5MB, .data is ~6.5MB and .bss

The bounce buffer is used by a few drivers (most of the MMC drivers)
to overcome limitations in their respective DMA implementation.
This moves the configuration to Kconfig and makes it user-selectable
(even though it will be a required feature to make those drivers
work): the expected usage is for drivers depending on this to 'select'
it unconditionally from their respective Kconfig (see follow-up
patches).
This commit includes a full migration using moveconfig.py to ensure
that each commit compiles. To ensure bisectability we update
dependencies of various drivers to now select BOUNCE_BUFFER when needed.

U-Boot binary has grown in such a way that it goes beyond the reserved

Running "saveenv" causes U-Boot to hang because of this overlap.
Fix this problem by increasing the CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET size.
Also, in order to prevent this same problem in the future, use

Currently, U-Boot ignores the BBT stored in the last 4 blocks of NAND
flash because the NAND_BBT_USE_FLASH flag is not set. This leads to
two issues:
* U-Boot silently uses a memory-only BBT which is initialized with all
blocks marked as good. This means, actual bad blocks are marked good
and U-Boot might try writing to or reading from them.
* The BBT in flash, which will be created once Linux boots up, is not
off limits for a driver ontop, like UBI. While it does not seem to
consistently produce an error, sometimes UBI will fail to attach
because the BBT blocks obviously don't contain valid UBI data.
To fix this, this patch sets the CONFIG_SYS_NAND_USE_FLASH_BBT option,
which is used in ./drivers/mtd/nand/raw/mxs_nand.c to decide whether
a BBT in flash is used.

Below are some of the key differences between both Rock960 and Ficus
boards:
1. Different host enable GPIO for USB
2. Different power and reset GPIO for PCI-E
3. No Ethernet port on Rock960
The common board support will be utilized by both boards. The device
tree has been organized in such a way that only the properties which
differ between both boards are placed in the board specific dts and
the reset of the nodes are placed in common dtsi file.

Convert all Renesas R-Car boards to bootm_size of 256 MiB and drop both
fdt_high and initrd_high. This change implies that the FDT and initrd
will always be copied into the first 256 MiB of RAM instead of being
used in place, which can cause various kinds of inobvious problems.
The simpler problems include FDT or initrd being overwritten or being
used from unaligned addresses, especially on ARM64. The overhead of
copying the FDT to aligned location is negligible and these problems
go away, so the benefit is significant.
Regarding alignment problems with fitImage. The alignment of DT properties
is always 32 bits, which implies that the alignment of the "data" property
in fitImage is also 32 bits. The /incbin/ syntax plays no role here. The
kernel expects all elements, including DT and initrd, to be aligned to
64 bits on ARM64, thus using them in place may not be possible. Using the
bootm_size assures correct alignment, again with negligible overhead.

The Amlogic Meson SoCs ROM supports a boot over USB with a custom protocol.
When no other boot medium are available (or by forcing the USB mode), the
ROM sets the primary USB port as device mode and waits for a Host to
enumerate.
When enumerated, a custom protocol described at [1] permits writing to
memory and execute some specific FIP init code to run the loaded
Arm Trusted Firmware BL2 and BL3 stages before running the BL33 stage.
In this mode, we can load different binaries that can be used by U-boot
like a script image file.
This adds support for a custom USB boot stage only available when the
boot mode is USB and the script file at a pre-defined address is valid.
This support was heavily copied from the Sunxi Allwinner FEL U-Boot support.
The tool pyamlboot described at [2], permits using this boot mode on boards
exposing the first USB port, either as OTG or Host port.

Commit 768f23dc8a ("ARM: socfpga: Put stack at the end of SRAM") broke
those socfpga boards that keep the bootcounter at the end of the
internal SRAM as the bootcounter needs 8 bytes by default and thus the
very first SPL call to board_init_f_alloc_reserve overwrites the
bootcounter.
This patch allows to move the initial stack pointer down a bit by
checking if CONFIG_SYS_BOOTCOUNT_ADDR is located in the internal SRAM
area and then using this address as location for the start of the
stack pointer.

Rather than passing a hardcoded maxsize to the generic get_ram_size()
function use the i.MX 7 specific imx_ddr_size() function, which extracts
the memory size at runtime by reading the DDR controller registers.
This is a purely cosmetic change as the generic get_ram_size() function

To achieve this, the relocation is omitted if

Currently building U-Boot as the coreboot payload requires user
to change the build configuration for a specific board during
menuconfig process. This uses the board's native device tree
to configure the hardware. For example, the device tree provides
PCI address range for the PCI host controller and U-Boot will
re-program all PCI devices' BAR to be within this range. In order
to make sure we don't mess up the hardware, we should guarantee
the range matches what coreboot programs the chipset.
But we really should make the coreboot payload support easier.
Just like EFI payload, we can create a generic coreboot payload
for all x86 boards as well. The payload is configured to include
as many generic drivers as possible. All stuff that touches low
level initialization are not allowed as such is the coreboot's
responsibility. Platform specific drivers (like gpio, spi, etc)
are not included.

Migrate boards which set bootlimit in the environment to Kconfig.
We exclude gurnard_defconfig which includes a bootlimit=, but doesn't set

display5_defconfig and display5_factory_defconfig share a SYS_CONFIG_NAME,

This also gives user configuring U-Boot via menuconfig the behaviour
someone would expect.

The first dhcp command consistently fails with a timeout when
the lion-rk3368 board is connected to a Zyxel GS1100-24E
Gigabit Ethernet switch:
ethernet@ff290000 Waiting for PHY auto negotiation to complete......... TIMEOUT !
Increasing PHY_ANEG_TIMEOUT from the default 4000 to 8000 makes the
first dhcp command work reliably.

- add a devicetree for each variant (mmc, spi, nand)
- drop unneeded code from board and bur/common
- drop unneeded stuff from config header files
- minor adaptions to be compliant with driver model (requesting gpio,..)
- harmonize the commandset over all brppt1 targets

With this commit we do:
- set the bootdelay in all brppt1 defconfigs to 0, this makes
development easier, since we can break into serial console.
- move CONFIG_BOOTCOMMAND from header file to defconfig
- introduce b_mode variable for selecting the final boot-target.
This b_mode represents the boot-switch, which can found on most b&r
targets. On the brppt1 this boot-switch is derived from some gpio and
the bootcounter within the RTC block, making it so possible to force
a boot-target (as example for repair-case).
- refactor the environment for booting new flexible way
primary we want to get some bootscr.img within the mass-storage,
this script then loads everything needed for the boot.
For legacy reason we implement the t30lgcy#x boot targets, booting the
already delivered linux-images.
- make space for the cfgscr within mtdparts on brppt1_nand

use it. So drop this dead code.

On this linux target long time ago the OS is using DRM driver for
handling video output, the pre initialization of u-boot and the display
summary screen is obsolete. With this patch we drop the LCD-support from
thisd board.

This patch drops the lcd-screen setup, the summary screen and getting
mac-addresses based on a previous loaded device-tree for linux targets.
Selecting those linux target is simple, since we have only the brppt1.
In detail we do:
- drop the common lcd-setup code which relys on a fdt_blob
- drop the common dtb loading mechanism
- drop the now obsolete CONFIG_USE_FDT from board header and whitelist.

QEMU provides an emulated ARM AMBA PrimeCell PL031 RTC.
The patch sets the base address in the board include file according to the
definition in hw/arm/virt.c of the QEMU source. It defines the Kconfig
option for the existing driver, and enables the RTC driver in
qemu_arm64_defconfig and qemu_arm_defconfig as well as the date command.
We need an RTC to provide the GetTime() runtime service in the UEFI
subsystem.
