Add support for selecting the appropriate DTS file depending on the
SERDES protocol used.
The fsl-ls2080a-qds DTS will be used by default if there isn't a DTS
file specifically made for the current SERDES protocol.
This patch adds the necessary DPMAC nodes (DPMAC 1-8) for
protocol 42 (0x2A) on SD#1.
Also, in case CONFIG_DM_ETH and CONFIG_MULTI_DTB_FIT are enabled
implement the board_fit_config_name_match() function in order to choose
the appropriate DTS.

This patch adds support for the on-board ports (DPMAC 1,2 and 4,5) found
on the SERDES protocols 21(0x15) and 29(0x1d) for SD#1.
On the LS1088AQDS board EMDIO1 is used with two onboard RGMII PHYs
(Realtek RTL8211FD-CG), as well as 2 input/output connectors for
mezzanine cards. Configuration signals from the Qixis FPGA control the
routing of the external MDIOs.
Register 0x54 of the Qixis FPGA controls the routing of the EMDIO1 one
of the 2 IO slots. As a consequence, a new node is added to
describe register 0x54 as a MDIO mux controlled with child nodes
describing all the IO slots as MDIO buses.
Also, in case CONFIG_DM_ETH and CONFIG_MULTI_DTB_FIT are enabled
implement the board_fit_config_name_match() function in order to choose
the appropriate DTS.

Add device trees describing possible uses of mezzanine cards depending
on the SERDES protocol employed.
This patch adds DPAA2 networking support for the following protocols on
each SERDES block:
* SD #1: 3, 7, 19, 20
* SD #2: 11
Each SERDES block has a different device tree file per protocol
supported, where the IO SLOTs used are enabled and PHYs located on the
mezzanine cards are described. Also, dpmac nodes are edited and their
associated phy-connection-type and phy-handle are added.
Top DTS files are also added for each combination of protocol on the 3
SERDES blocks.

The ROC-RK3328-CC from Firefly and Libre Computer Project is a credit
card size development board based on the Rockchip RK3328 SoC, with:
- 1/2/4 GB DDR4 DRAM
- eMMC connector for optional module
- micro SD card slot
- 1 x USB 3.0 host port
- 2 x USB 2.0 host port
- 1 x USB 2.0 OTG port
- HDMI video output
- TRRS connector with audio and composite video output

The ROC-RK3328-CC has the enable pin of the SD card power switch tied
to GPIO_0_D6. This pin also has the function SDMMC0_PWREN, which is
muxed by default. SDMMC0_PWREN is an active high signal controlled by
the MMC controller, however the switch enable is active low, and
pulled low (enabled) by default to make things work on boot.
As such, we need to mux away from SDMMC0_PWREN and use GPIO to enable
power to the card. The default GPIO state for the pin is pull-down and
input, which doesn't require extra configuration when paired with the
external pull-down and active low switch.
Deal with this by enabling regulator support in SPL, and setting
"u-boot,dm-spl" for the regulator and other device nodes needed for
muxing the pin.
The device tree file is synced from the Linux kernel next-20200324.

The AV96 is in fact an assembly of DH Electronics DHCOR SoM on top
of an AV96 reference board. Split the DTs to reflect that and make
sure to DHCOR SoM can be reused on other boards easily.
It is also highly recommended to configure the board for the DHCOM
make stm32mp15_dhcom_basic_defconfig
make DEVICE_TREE=stm32mp15xx-dhcor-avenger96
as that permits reusing the board code for the DH components, like
accessing and reading out the ethernet MAC from EEPROM.

The detection of the revD1 version is based on the presence of the PMIC.
Currently revb1 device trees are used for mx6q/mx6dl variants, which
do not have the PMIC nodes.
This causes revD1 boards to be incorrectly be detected as revB1.
Fix this issue by using the revd1 device trees, so that the PMIC node can be
found and then the PMIC can be detected by reading its register ID.
Imported the revd1 device trees from mainline kernel version 5.7-rc1.

The Jetson Nano Developer Kit is a Tegra X1-based development board. It
is similar to Jetson TX1 but it is not pin compatible. It features 4GB
of LPDDR4, a SPI NOR flash for early boot firmware and an SD card slot
used for storage.
HDMI 2.0 or DP 1.2 are available for display, four USB ports (3 USB 2.0
and 1 USB 3.0) can be used to attach a variety of peripherals and a PCI
Ethernet controller provides onboard network connectivity. NVMe support
has also been added. Env save is at the end of QSPI (4MB-8K).
A 40-pin header on the board can be used to extend the capabilities and
exposed interfaces of the Jetson Nano.

This adds initial minimal support for the Toradex Verdin iMX8M Mini Quad
2GB WB IT V1.0A module. They are now strapped to boot from eFuses which
are factory fused to properly boot from their on-module eMMC. U-Boot
supports booting from the on-module eMMC only, SDP support is disabled
for now due to missing i.MX 8M Mini USB support.

The ST-Ericsson U8500 SoC has been used in mass-production for
some Android smartphones released around 2012.
In particular, Samsung has released more than 5 different
smartphones based on U8500, e.g.
- Samsung Galaxy S III mini (GT-I8190) "golden"
- Samsung Galaxy S Advance (GT-I9070) "janice"
- Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 (GT-S7710) "skomer"
and a few others.
Mainline Linux has great support for the Ux500 SoC, so these
smartphones can also run Linux mainline quite well.
Unfortunately, the original Samsung bootloader used on these devices
has limitations that prevent booting Linux mainline directly.
It keeps the L2 cache enabled, which causes Linux to crash very early,
shortly after decompressing the kernel.
Using U-Boot allows to circumvent these limitations. We can let the
Samsung bootloader chain-load U-Boot and U-Boot locks the L2 cache
before booting into Linux. U-Boot has several other advantages
- it supports device-trees directly and we are no longer limited to
flashing Android boot images through Samsung's proprietary download
mode.
The Samsung "stemmy" board covers all Samsung devices based on U8500.
Add minimal support for "stemmy". For now only UART is supported but
this will be extended later.

This updates the i.MX8MQ device trees and, necessarily, also the
i.MX8MQ clock bindings. These are taken verbatim from from the
Linux kernel version v5.4-rc2, which three small changes which
were already part of the previous device tree:
* Keep the PSCI reserved memory range
* Keep the alias for ethernet, so that the MAC address can be set
* Keep the modified #include for the IOMUXC pins

A64 OLinuXino board from Olimex has three variants with onboard eMMC:
A64-OLinuXino-1Ge16GW, A64-OLinuXino-1Ge4GW and A64-OLinuXino-2Ge8G-IND. In
addition, there are two variants without eMMC. One without eMMC and one with SPI
flash. This suggests the need for separate device tree for the three eMMC
variants.
The Linux kernel upstream has chosen to create and use a separate device tree
for the eMMC variants instead of adding eMMC support existing device tree. These
changes to Linux kernel are queued for Linux 5.4.

This commit adds devicetree for Hikey960 board. Most of the contents are
copied from Linux kernel with some modifications for u-boot. To be
more precise, SD card's speed related properties are removed due to a
bug in u-boot clock implementation. Hence forcing the SD controller to

The pumpkin board is made by Gossamer Engineering and is using
a MediaTek SoC. The board currently comes in two available version:
MT8516 SoC and MT8167 SoC.
The board provides the following IOs: eMMC, NAND, SD card, USB type-A,
Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Audio (jack out, 2 PDM port, 1 analog in),
serial over USB, and an expansion header.
Additionally there is a HDMI port, DSI port, and camera port only
on the MT8167 version of the board.
The board can be powered by battery and/or via a USB Type-C port and
is using a PMIC MT6392.
The eMMC and NAND are sharing pins and cannot be used together.
This commit is adding the basic boot support for the Pumpkin MT8516
board on the eMMC.

Common Processor board is the baseboard that has most of the actual connectors,
power supply etc. A SOM (System on Module) is plugged on to the common
processor board and this contains the SoC, PMIC, DDR and basic highspeed
components necessary for functionality. Add initial dt support for this
common processor board.

The LS1021A-TSN is a development board built by VVDN/Argonboards in
partnership with NXP.
It features the LS1021A SoC and the first-generation SJA1105T Ethernet
switch for prototyping implementations of a subset of IEEE 802.1 TSN
standards.
Supported boot media: microSD card (via SPL), QSPI flash.
Rev. A of the board uses a Spansion S25FL512S_256K serial flash, which
is 64 MB in size and has an erase sector size of 256KB (therefore,
flashing the RCW would erase part of U-Boot).
Rev. B and C of the board use a Spansion S25FL256S1 serial flash, which
is only 32 MB in size but has an erase sector size of 64KB (therefore
the RCW image can be flashed without erasing U-Boot).
To avoid the problems above, the U-Boot base address has been selected
at 0x100000 (the start of the 5th 256KB erase sector), which works for
all board revisions. Actually 0x40000 would have been enough, but
0x100000 is common for all Layerscape devices.
eTSEC3 is connecting directly to SJA1105 via an RGMII fixed-link, but
SJA1105 is currently not supported by uboot. Therefore, eTSEC3 is
disabled.

This converts LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 to the driver model. MMC, SERIAL, SPI
and SPI_FLASH are converted.
The device tree contains only the minimal nodes required by U-Boot

After the transition to DM, only the mx6dl/solo wandboard

Add FIT image support so that all the wandboard variants

- Gigabit Ethernet

Unfortunately, there is no USB functionality for the i.MX 8QM as of yet.

Re-add support for Aries Embedded MCV SoM, which is CycloneV based
and the associated MCVEVK and MCVEVP baseboard. The board can boot
from eMMC. Ethernet and USB is supported.
The Aries Embedded boards have been removed with commit 03b54997d5
("board/aries: Remove"). I will now take care of them.

CRS305-1G-4S has a switch chip with an integrated CPU (98DX3236) and
like some of the other similar boards requires bin_hdr.
bin_hdr (DDR3 init stage) is currently retrieved from the stock
bootloader and compiled into the kwb image.
Adds support for U-Boot, enable UART, SPI, Winbond SPI flash chip

- Sometimes u-boot specific dtsi files are included
automatically which would build for entire rockchip SoC,
even-though the respective dtsi should used it for specific
family of rockchip SoC.
- Sometimes u-boot specific dts nodes or properties can use
config macros from respective rockchip family include/configs
files, example CONFIG_SPL_PAD_TO.
So, it's better to compile the dtbs based on the respective
rockchip family types rather than rockchip itself to avoid
compilation issues.
This patch organize the existing dtb's based on the rockchip
family types.

Add board code and DTs for Renesas RZ/A1 SoC-based GR-Peach,
which is a cheap development platform with RZ/A1H SoC. The
DTs are imported from Linux 5.0.11, commit d5a2675b207d .
Currently supported are UART, ethernet and RPC SPI. The board
can be booted from RPC SPI by writing the u-boot.bin binary
to the beginning of the SPI NOR, e.g. using the "sf" command.
The board can also be booted via JTAG by setting text base to
0x20020000, loading u-boot.bin there via JTAG and executing it
from that address.

This commit provides update and renames the bk4r1.dts to vf610-bk4r1.dts
file with more on SoC HW description.
The pcm052.dts has been renamed to vf610-pcm052.dts as well.

This board embeds a STM32MP157a SOC with AC package (TFBGA361, 148 ios)

- Add support of stm32mp157c discovery2 board (part number: STM32MP157C-DK2).

The DB-XC3-24G4XG is a switch development board from Marvell. It can
either use and external CPU card such as the db-88f6820-amc or the
internal CPU that is integrated into the switch.
Add support for running U-Boot on the internal CPU and enable the USB,
SPI and NAND peripherals. For now this needs the bin_hdr from the
Marvell U-Boot for this board.

The GARDENA smart Gateway boards are equipped with an Atmel / Microchip
AT91SAM9G25 SoC and with 128 MiB of RAM and 256 MiB of NAND storage.
This patch adds support for this board including SPL support. Therefore
the AT91Boostrap is not needed on this platform any more.

Since commit 27cb7300ff ("Ensure device tree DTS is compiled"),
build succeeds irrespective of the correctness of Makefile.
In fact, you can compile any defconfig without adding any entry in
arch/*/dts/Makefile.
As a result, a lot of wrong code have been merged unnoticed.
I am going to revert that commit, and lots of hidden issues have
come to light:
[1] Typos
armada-3720-uDPU.dts, sun8i-a83t-tbs-a711.dts
use the extension ".dts" instead of ".dtb"
[2] DTB is associated to undefined CONFIG option
For example, mx6sllevk_defconfig defines CONFIG_MX6SLL, but
associates its device tree to CONFIG_MX6SL, which is undefined.
[3] Lots of entries are missing

This adds initial support for micro-DPU (uDPU) board which is based on Armada-3720 SoC.
micro-DPU is the single-port FTTdp "distribution point unit" made by Methode Electronics
which offers complete modularity with replaceable SFP modules both for uplink and downlink
(G.hn over twisted-pair, G.hn over coax, 1G and 2.5G Ethernet over Cat-5e cable).

This is a range of stackable network switches. The SoC is Armada-385 and
there are a number of variants with differing network port
configurations. The DP variants are intended for a harsher operating
environment so they use a different i2c mux and fit industrial-temp
parts.

This configuration is useful when you want to run small u-boot and
perform DDR memory test to make sure that DDR is properly configured.
It is use for board bringup because alternative u-boot memory tests is
quite good.
Configuration is running out of OCM.
As is done for others mini configurations 0x80 bytes for variables is
enough and only default variables are stored there.
Alternative memtest is enabled and also 2GB of DDR via DTS files.
Configuration is enabling ZYNQMP_PSU_INIT_ENABLED and include psu_init()
from zcu102 for testing purpose.
In case of size issue this can be moved to SPL configuration as is done
for mini_qspi configuration but it is not a problem now.

Add the board DTS files for 14x14 EVK and 9x9 EVK. They are necessary
for converting to use u-boot DM driver.

On iMX7D SabreSD board, the QSPI has pins conflict with EPDC (default).
To use QSPI, users have to rework the board (de-populate R388-R391, R396-R399
populate R392-R395, R299, R300). So we add new DTS file and new defconfig
dedicated for QSPI.
Other changes to support the DM QSPI:
- Add QSPI node and alias spi0.
- Modify spi4 (spi-gpio) node and add alias spi5 for it to avoid req
conflict
- Add EPDC node in imx7d.dtsi and disable it in imx7d-sdb-qspi.dts to
align with kernel and also present the conflict.
- Add -u-boot.dtsi to modify compatible string of mx25l51245g@0 to
"spi-flash"
- Remove iomux settings of qspi in board codes which is not needed
for DM driver.

Pine H64 is a SBC with Allwinner H6 SoC produced by Pine64. It features
1GiB/2GiB/4GiB(3GiB usable) DRAM, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port
and a mPCIE slot.

When the defconfig for the SoPine baseboard was added, there wasn't any
proper DT for the board yet, so we used the Pine64 DT as a placeholder.
Copy the DT file(s) meanwhile added in Linux over to U-Boot, and use
them in our defconfig.

fdt_file is looking for imx6ul-geam-kit.dtb but Linux
has imx6ul-geam.dtb, since Linux skipped -kit on file name
by below commit.
"ARM: dts: imx6ul-geam: Skip suffix -kit from dts name"

So, due to this mismatch U-Boot failed to pick the
proper dtb which eventually break the Linux boot.

This patch splits the current mini emmc configuration into emmc0
and emmc1 configurations because emmc is probed at boot time and on
systems which have only one interface mini configuration is failing on
unused interface. This patch also adds required clock node in dts and
enables CONFIG_MMC_SDHCI_ZYNQ through defconfig.

This adds basic support for the Turris Mox board from CZ.NIC, which is
currently being crowdfunded on Indiegogo.
Turris Mox is as modular router based on the Armada 3720 SOC (same as
EspressoBin).
The basic module can be extended by different modules. The device tree
binary for the kernel can be dependent on which modules are connected,
and in what order. Because of this, the board specific code creates
in U-Boot a variable called module_topology, which carries this
information.

Xilinx ZynqMP also contains dual Cortex R5 which can run U-Boot.
This patch is adding minimal support to get U-Boot boot.
U-Boot on R5 runs out of DDR with default configuration that's why
DDR needs to be partitioned if there is something else running on arm64.
Console is done via Cadence uart driver and the first Cadence Triple
Timer Counter is used for time.
This configuration with uart1 was tested on zcu100-revC.

When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.
In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.
This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

With U-boot runtime board detect for DTB selection a "default" dtb needs
to be created. This will be used temporarily until the "proper" dtb is
selected.
Also, add -u-boot.dtsi for AM437x SK and IDK to enable I2C for
board detection via DM_I2C.

The Libre Computer Board ALL-H3-CC from Libre Technology is a Raspberry
Pi B+ form factor single board computer based on the Allwinner H3 SoC.
The board has 1GB DDR3 SDRAM, provided by 4 2Gb chips. The mounting holes
and connectors are in the exact same position as on the Raspberry Pi B+.
Raspberry Pi B+ like peripherals supported on this board include:
- Power input through micro-USB connector (without USB OTG)
- Native 100 Mbps ethernet using the internal PHY, as opposed to
USB-based on the RPi
- 4x USB 2.0 host ports, directly connected to the SoC, as opposed to
being connected through a USB 2.0 hub on the RPi
- TV and audio output on a 3.5mm TRRS jack
- HDMI output
- Micro-SD card slot
- Standard RPi B+ GPIO header, with the standard peripherals routed to
the same pins.
* 5V, 3.3V power, and ground
* I2C0 on the H3 is routed to I2C1 pins on the RPi header
* I2C1 on the H3 is routed to I2C0 pins on the RPi header
* UART1 on the H3 is routed to UART0 pins on the RPi header
* SPI0 on the H3 is routed to SPI0 pins on the RPi header,
with GPIO pin PA17 replacing the missing Chip Select 1
* I2S1 on the H3 is routed to PCM pins on the RPi header
- Additional peripherals from the H3 are available on different pins.
These include I2S0, JTAG, PWM1, SPDIF, SPI1, and UART3
In addition, there are a number of new features:
- Console UART header
- Consumer IR receiver
- Camera interface (not compatible with RPi)
- Onboard microphone
- eMMC expansion module port
- Heatsink mounting holes
This patch adds defconfig and dts files for this board. The dts file is
the same as the one submitted for inclusion in Linux, with some minor
revisions to match the dtsi file and old EMAC bindings in U-boot.
Since the OTG controller is wired to a USB host port, and the H3 has
proper USB hosts to handle host mode, the MUSB driver is not enabled.

Not using board revision is causing confusion about which board is
supported and tested. Mark dts files exactly with board revision which
was tested. When new board revision arives it can be symlink if SW view
is the same. Also add -revX suffix to compatible string because user space
tools are parsing this string and can change behavior depends of board
revision.

The Z-Turn board is a low cost development board based on the
Xilinx Zynq SoC. While it's powerful and quite versatile, it
so far lacked upstream support.
This patch adds basic support for the Z-Turn. It does however
for now miss enablement for MIO51 reset which means that USB
and ethernet don't work. For that either FSBL or SPL need to
be adjusted. The SPL part will follow later.

The phyCORE-RK3288 is a SoM (System on Module) containing a RK3288 SoC.
The module can be connected to different carrier boards.
It can be also equipped with different RAM, SPI flash and eMMC variants.
The Rapid Development Kit option is using the following setup:
- 1 GB DDR3 RAM (2 Banks)
- 1x 4 KB EEPROM
- DP83867 Gigabit Ethernet PHY

Add basic support for the PCM-947 carrier board, a RK3288 based development

To better support different RAM timings (DDR3-1333 and DDR3-1866 are
assembly options for the RK3399-Q7), this refactors the DTS support
and renames the default DTS variant from rk3399-puma to
rk3399-puma-ddr1600:
- changes the rk3399-puma DTS into a board-specific DTSI by removing
the inclusion of the DRAM timings
- adds a new rk3399-puma-ddr1600.dts, which includes the (new) common
board DTSI and the DDR3-1600 timing DTSI
- wires this up from arch/arm/dts/Makefile and configs/puma-rk3399_defconfig

NanoPi M1 is a board based on Allwinner H3 CPU.
This commit adds the support for this platform with:
- an include device tree which enables UART, LEDs, GPIO key switch,
1 USB host ports and the SD-card as a dtsi file.
- a device tree specific to this board that enables the
2 additional USB ports
- a defconfig file for minimal support
- a section in MAINTAINERS (add myself)

LS2081ARDB board is similar to LS2080ARDB board with few differences
It hosts LS2081A SoC
Default boot source is QSPI-boot
It does not have IFC interface
RTC and QSPI flash device are different
It provides QIXIS access via I2C

QSPI-boot is supported on LS2088ARDB RevF board with LS2088A SoC.
LS2088ARDB RevF Board has limitation that QIXIS can not be accessed.
CONFIG_FSL_QIXIS is not enabled.

This patch also removes all the excessive code for NS16550 intiailization
as the device tree can do that now. This also adds DM_I2C and DM_MMC
since the overlying drivers have the built-in support already. The
corresponding include/config/omap3_logic.h also reduced in size
due to the new device tree support.

The device tree source files of at91sam9263ek boards are copied from
the Linux v4.10, do the changes as below.
- Add the reg property for the pinctrl node.
- Move the gpio (pioA, pioB, pioC, pioD, pioE) nodes as the pinctrl's
slibling nodes, instead of the child nodes.
- Add the "u-boot,dm-pre-reloc" property for the dbgu node are used
in board_init_f stage.
- Fix the compilation warnings.
