a41c9ddb30 ARM: imx: Add support for detecting primary/secondary bmode on MX8M
Implement the 'getprisec' subcommand of 'bmode' command for i.MX8M by
reading out the ROM log events. This event is set by the BootROM if it
switched to the secondary copy due to primary copy being corrupted.

71c2faeca7 ARM: imx: Use correct U-Boot offset in case of secondary boot from eMMC
In case of a secondary image boot from the user area of an eMMC device,
the correct offset must be calculated. The offset is fused in the fuse
IMG_CNTN_SET1_OFFSET of the i.MX8M Nano and Plus. The calculation of the
offset is described in the reference manual (IMX8MNRM Rev. 2, 07/2022
and IMX8MPRM Rev. 1, 06/2021):

The fuse IMG_CNTN_SET1_OFFSET (0x490[22:19]) is defined as follows:
* Secondary boot is disabled if fuse value is bigger than 10,
  n = fuse value bigger than 10.
* n == 0: Offset = 4MB
* n == 2: Offset = 1MB
* Others & n <= 10 : Offset = 1MB*2^n

6c97153b04 ARM: imx: Factor out parsing of ROM log
Factor out parsing of ROM log in function spl_mmc_emmc_boot_partition().
This can be helpful to detect a secondary image boot without fiddling
around with MMC partitions. This way for example, U-Boot is able to
detect a secondary image boot and can enter some fallback scenario like
starting a recovery mode.

e936db9536 spl: mmc: Introduce proper layering for spl_mmc_get_uboot_raw_sector()
Introduce two new weak functions, arch_spl_mmc_get_uboot_raw_sector() and
board_spl_mmc_get_uboot_raw_sector(), each of which can be overridden at
a matching level, that is arch/ and board/ , in addition to the existing
weak function spl_mmc_get_uboot_raw_sector().

This way, architecture code can define a default architecture specific
implementation of arch_spl_mmc_get_uboot_raw_sector(), while the board
code can override that using board_spl_mmc_get_uboot_raw_sector() which
takes precedence over the architecture code. In some sort of unlikely
special case where code has to take precedence over board code too, the
spl_mmc_get_uboot_raw_sector() is still left out to be a weak function,
but it should be unlikely that this is ever needed to be overridden.

That's because commit 9e644284ab ("dm: core: Report

	"[This] changes behavior of what nodes are bound in the U-Boot

Fix this by adding bootph-some-ram prop as suggested by the commit

4e65545f7a board: rzg2l: Add RZ/G2L SMARC EVK board
The Renesas RZ/G2L SMARC Evaluation Board Kit consists of the RZ/G2L
System-on-Module (SOM) based on the R9A07G044L2 SoC, and a common SMARC
carrier board.

The ARM TrustedFirmware code for the Renesas RZ/G2L SoC family passes a
devicetree blob to the bootloader as an argument in the same was
previous R-Car gen3/gen4 SoCs. This blob contains a compatible string
which can be used to identify the particular SoC we are running on and
this is used to select the appropriate device tree to load.

The configuration renesas_rzg2l_smarc_defconfig is added to support
building for this target. In the future this defconfig will be extended
to support other SoCs and evaluation boards from the RZ/G2L family.

eb4f1246f9 arm: rmobile: Support RZ/G2L memory map
The memory map for the RZ/G2L family differs from that of previous R-Car
Gen3/Gen4 SoCs.

A high level memory map can be seen in figure 5.2 (section 5.2.1) of the
RZ/G2L data sheet rev 1.30 published May 12, 2023. A summary is included
here (note that this is a 34-bit address space):
  * 0x0_0000_0000 - 0x0_0002_FFFF SRAM area
  * 0x0_0003_0000 - 0x0_0FFF_FFFF Reserved area
  * 0x0_1000_0000 - 0x0_1FFF_FFFF I/O register area
  * 0x0_2000_0000 - 0x0_2FFF_FFFF SPI Multi area
  * 0x0_3000_0000 - 0x0_3FFF_FFFF Reserved area
  * 0x0_4000_0000 - 0x1_3FFF_FFFF DDR area (4 GiB)
  * 0x1_4000_0000 - 0x3_FFFF_FFFF Reserved area

Within the DDR area, the first 128 MiB are reserved by TrustedFirmware.
The region from 0x43F00000 to 0x47DFFFFF inclusive is protected for use
in TrustedFirmware/OP-TEE, but all other memory is included in the
memory map. This reservation is the same as used in R-Car
Gen3/Gen4 and RZ/G2{H,M,N,E} SoCs.

DRAM information is initialised based on the data in the fdt.

bf7fa7d561 arm: rmobile: Add CPU detection for RZ/G2L

devicetree blob to the bootloader as an argument in the same was
previous R-Car Gen3/Gen4 SoCs. This blob contains a compatible string
which can be used to identify the particular SoC we are running on.

We do this as reading the DEVID & PRR registers from u-boot is not
sufficient to differentiate between the R9A07G044L (RZ/G2L) and
R9A07G044C (RZ/G2LC) SoCs. An additional read from offset 0x11861178 is
needed but this address is in the OTP region which can only be read from
the secure world (i.e. TrustedFirmware). So we have to rely on
TrustedFirmware to determine the SoC and pass this information to u-boot
via an fdt blob.

1918ff5c95 clk: renesas: Add RZ/G2L & RZ/G2LC CPG driver
This driver provides clock and reset control for the Renesas R9A07G044L
(RZ/G2L) and R9A07G044C (RZ/G2LC) SoC. It consists of two parts:

* driver code which is applicable to all SoCs in the RZ/G2L family.

* static data describing the clocks and resets which are specific to the
  R9A07G044{L,C} SoCs. The identifier r9a07g044 (without a final letter)
  is used to indicate that both SoCs are supported.

clk_set_rate() and clk_get_rate() are implemented only for the clocks
that are actually used in u-boot.

The CPG driver is marked with DM_FLAG_PRE_RELOC to ensure that its bind
function is called before the SCIF (serial port) driver is probed. This
is required so that we can de-assert the relevant reset signal during
the serial driver probe function.

10c937fa23 Revert "arm: mvebu: x240: Use i2c-gpio instead of built in controller"
This reverts commit 5c1c6b7306. The reason
for switching to i2c-gpio was due to an issue we were seeing in the
Linux kernel where the CPU would lock up on certain adverse I2C bus
conditions. We were never able to reproduce the lockup in U-Boot but
assumed that was probably just luck.

Since then we have discovered that the lock up was due to the I2C
transaction offload engine in the I2C controller not coping with the
adverse bus conditions (basically it thinks there's another master and
waits for a STOP condition that never comes). U-Boot doesn't use the I2C
offload feature so is not susceptible to the lockup.

We can therefore safely return to using the built-in I2C controller.

Extend the padding process of u-boot-nand.imx target by adding 10k bytes
of zeros to the end of the binary using the 'dd' command.

The existing padding method did not generate a functional binary,
as discussed in more detail in this thread [1]. Instead, we adopt the
end-padding calculation method documented in 'board/doc/colibri_imx7.rst'
as a reference, which is relevant for iMX7 with NAND storage.

Adding 10k bytes of zeros provides an approximate value that makes the
proper padding for these NAND devices.

4b4472438f imx: spl_imx_romapi: avoid tricky use of spl_load_simple_fit() to get full FIT size
Currently, spl_imx_romapi uses a somewhat tricky workaround for the
fact that a FIT image with external data doesn't directly allow one to
know the full size of the file: It does a dummy spl_load_simple_fit(),
having the ->read callback remember the largest offset requested, and
then does a last call to rom_api_download_image() to fetch the
remaining part of the full FIT image.

We can avoid that by just keeping track of how much we have downloaded
already, and if the ->read() requests something outside the current
valid buffer, fetch up to the end of the current request.

The current method also suffers from not working when CONFIG_IMX_HAB
is enabled: While in that case u-boot.itb is not built with external
data, so the fdt header does contain the full size of the dtb
structure. However, it does not account for the extra CONFIG_CSF_SIZE
added by board_spl_fit_size_align(). And also, the data it hands out
during the first dummy spl_load_simple_fit() is of course garbage, and
wouldn't pass the verification.

So we really need to call spl_load_simple_fit() only once, let that
figure out just how big the FIT image is (including whatever data, CSF
or "ordinary" external data, has been tacked on beyond the fdt
structure), and always provide valid data from the ->read callback.

This only affects the CONFIG_SPL_LOAD_FIT case - I don't have any
hardware or experience with the CONFIG_SPL_LOAD_IMX_CONTAINER case, so
I leave that alone for now.

9960d4a540 imx8mp: binman: rename spl and u-boot nodes
The hab signing script doc/imx/habv4/csf_examples/mx8m/csf.sh does

  fdtget -t x u-boot.dtb /binman/imx-boot/uboot offset

to figure out the offset of u-boot.itb inside flash.bin. That works
fine for imx8mm, imx8mn, imx8mq, but fails for imx8mp because in that
case 'uboot' is merely a label and not actually the node name.

Homogenize these cases and make imx8mp the same as the other imx8m*
variants. The binman type is explicitly given and no longer derived
from the node name, and the csf.sh script will work for all four SOCs.

("drivers: use devfdt_get_addr_size_index_ptr when cast to pointer")
and commit 320a1938b6
("drivers: use devfdt_get_addr_index_ptr when cast to pointer").

In addition to using the *_ptr variants of these functions where the

changed from fdt_addr_t or phys_addr_t to void* where the cast was
happening later.

This patch fixes a number of compile warnings when building a 32bit

handling where the return value of dev_read_addr() etc. was checked for
NULL instead of FDT_ADDR_T_NONE.

The following commit syncs the device tree from Linux tag
v6.6-rc1 to U-boot and fixes the following to be compatible with
the future syncs -

- Include k3-am68-sk-base-board.dts file

    Remove the duplicated pinmuxes from r5 and -u-boot.dtsi files and
    include k3-am68-sk-base-board.dts for Linux fixes to propagate
    to U-boot.

- Fixing the mcu_timer0

    Remove timer0 and use the mcu_timer0 defined in mcu-wakeup.dtsi

- Fixing secure proxy nodes

    Linux DT now have these nodes defined so remove them and rename to
    use the Linux DT ones.

- Remove cpsw node

    The compatible is now fixed and the node is not required in
    -u-boot specifically

- Remove aliases and chosen node

    Use these from Linux and don't override when not required.

- Remove /delete-property/ from sdhci nodes

    We have the necessary clock and dev data so remove these.

- Remove dummy_clocks and fs_loader0

    These weren't being used anywhere so remove it.

- Remove mcu_ringacc override

3d5e52bd97 ARM: psci: move GIC address override to Kconfig
As the code to switch an ARM core from secure to the non-secure state
needs to know the base address of the Generic Interrupt Controller
(GIC), we read an Arm Cortex defined system register that is supposed to
hold that base address. However there are SoCs out there that get this
wrong, and this CBAR register either reads as 0 or points to the wrong
address. To accommodate those systems, so far we use a macro defined in
some platform specific header files, for affected boards.

To simplify future extensions, replace that macro with a Kconfig variable
that holds this override address, and define a default value for SoCs
that need it.

31565bb0aa driver: rng: Add DM_RNG interface for ARMv8.5 RNDR registers
The ARMv8.5 architecture extension defines architectural RNDR/RNDRRS
system registers, that provide 64 bits worth of randomness on every
read. Since it's an extension, and implementing it is optional, there is
a field in the ID_AA64ISAR0_EL1 ID register to query the availability
of those registers.

Add a UCLASS_RNG driver that returns entropy via repeated reads from
those system registers, if the extension is implemented.
The driver always binds, but checks the availability in the probe()
routine.

This helps systems which suffer from low boot entropy, since U-Boot can
provide entropy via the generic UEFI entropy gathering protocol to the OS,
at an early stage.

structures.

All MIOs are fixed by the spec that's why not a problem to description
pinctrl setting.

Apart from eth phy reset, it also set proper phy delays.
The TI DP83867 PHY datasheet says:
T1: Post RESET stabilization time == 195us
T3: Hardware configuration pins transition to output drivers == 64us
T4: RESET pulse width == 1us
So with a little overhead set 'reset-assert-us' to 100us (T4) and
'reset-deassert-us' to 280us (T1+T3).

NOTE: The tuning of TI DP83867 phy reset delay is derived from linux
upstream commit: 5dbadc848259(arm64: dts: fsl: add support for Kontron
pitx-imx8m board).

i2c structure on Xilinx Versal evaluation platforms contain a lot of
devices but also connection to connectors like SFP. Because of this
complicated structure with also all level shifters, i2c muxes, etc. not all
devices are able to reliably work on 400kHz even if they are compatible
with this speed. That's why set i2c frequency to 100KHz to increase
reliability of the i2c bus.

d73851be43 arm: dts: k3-j721e-r5: Clean up inclusion hierarchy
Get rid of k3-j721e-r5-*-u-boot.dtsi as it is not

			        -->k3-j721e-r5-<board>.dts
			       -
k3-j721e-<board>-u-boot.dtsi---

Reason for explicitly mentioning the inclusion of -u-boot.dtsi in code
although it could've been automatically done by U-Boot is to resolve
some of the dependencies that R5 file requires.

Also remove duplicate phandles while making this shift as well as remove
firmware-loader as it serves no purpose without "phandlepart" property.

When setting boot media to load the TIFS binary in legacy boot flow

need to set up the clocks before using the timer, move clk_k3 driver

commit 0920ccdf41e3078a4dd2567eb905ea154bc826e6 Linux upstream.

Add support for bxcan (Basic eXtended CAN controller) to STM32F746. The
chip contains three CAN peripherals, CAN1 and CAN2 in dual peripheral
configuration and CAN3 in single peripheral configuration:
- Dual CAN peripheral configuration:
  * CAN1: Primary bxCAN for managing the communication between a secondary
    bxCAN and the 512-byte SRAM memory.
  * CAN2: Secondary bxCAN with no direct access to the SRAM memory.
  This means that the two bxCAN cells share the 512-byte SRAM memory and
  CAN2 can't be used without enabling CAN1.
- Single CAN peripheral configuration:
  * CAN3: Primary bxCAN with dedicated Memory Access Controller unit and

9d59be752c ARM: dts: renesas: Add compatible properties to KSZ9031 Ethernet PHYs on Salvator-X boards
Add compatible values to Ethernet PHY subnodes representing Micrel

This is a fix for missed addition of these properties on Salvator-X

6ab77bb14f Convert CFG_SYS_UBOOT_START to Kconfig
Commit 65cc0e2a65 ("global: Move remaining CONFIG_SYS_* to CFG_SYS_*")
renamed CONFIG_SYS_UBOOT_START to CFG_SYS_UBOOT_START. Unfortunately,
this meant that the value was no longer available to the Makefile. This
caused imxrt to fail to boot. All the other boards that used this
variable were unaffected because they were using the default value
which is CONFIG_TEXT_BASE.

This commit converts CFG_SYS_UBOOT_START to Kconfig and sets the default
value to CONFIG_TEXT_BASE.

   CAAM was not setup properly or it is faulty error!

The reason for this error is that the BootROM uses the CAAM Job Ring 0,
so disable its node in U-Boot to avoid the resource conflict.

imx8m dtsi files also have the Job Ring 0 disable since the following
kernel commit:

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/arch?h=v6.5&id=dc9c1ceb555ff661e6fc1081434600771f29657c

For a temporary solution, disable the Job Ring 0 in imx7s-u-boot.dtsi.

Since commit ea91031b22 ("imx: hab: extend hab_auth_img to calculate
ivt_offset"), it is possible to call the hab_auth_img command without the
last ivt_offset argument.

Currently, calling hab_auth_img_or_fail without the last
ivt_offset parameter causes a failure and the command usage text is shown.

Fix this problem by adjusting the argc logic to allow
calling hab_auth_img_or_fail with only the address and size parameters.

This way, both hab_auth_img and hab_auth_img_or_fail have the same
behavior with respect to the allowed number of command parameters.

Since ARMv5, the clz instruction allows for efficient implementation of

functions to be in ARM mode, as it is effectively a form of very
aggressive inlining. To work around this, fls/ffs are implemented in

c9678850bd ARM: dts: stm32: Switch DWMAC RMII clock to MCO2 on DHCOM
The DHCOM SoM has two options for supplying ETHRX clock to the DWMAC
block and PHY. Either (1) ETHCK_K generates 50 MHz clock on ETH_CLK
pad for the PHY and the same 50 MHz clock are fed back to ETHRX via
internal eth_clk_fb clock connection OR (2) ETH_CLK is not used at
all, MCO2 generates 50 MHz clock on MCO2 output pad for the PHY and
the same MCO2 clock are fed back into ETHRX via ETH_RX_CLK input pad
using external pad-to-pad connection.

Option (1) has two downsides. ETHCK_K is supplied directly from either
PLL3_Q or PLL4_P, hence the PLL output is limited to exactly 50 MHz and
since the same PLL output is also used to supply SDMMC blocks, the
performance of SD and eMMC access is affected. The second downside is
that using this option, the EMI of the SoM is higher.

Option (2) solves both of those problems, so implement it here. In this
case, the PLL4_P is no longer limited and can be operated faster, at
100 MHz, which improves SDMMC performance (read performance is improved
from ~41 MiB/s to ~57 MiB/s with dd if=/dev/mmcblk1 of=/dev/null bs=64M
count=1). The EMI interference also decreases.

1. Convert all linker symbols to char[] type so that we can get the
   corresponding address by calling array name 'var' or its address

2. Remove unused symbol '_TEXT_BASE'. It has been abandoned and has
   not been referenced by any source code.
3. Move '__data_end' to the arch x86's own sections header as it's
   only used by x86 arch.
4. Remove some duplicate declared linker symbols. Now we use the
