0914011310 command: Remove the cmd_tbl_t typedef
We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward
declarations which means that header files must include the full header to
access them.

Drop the typedef and rename the struct to remove the _s suffix which is
now not useful.

This requires quite a few header-file additions.

90526e9fba common: Drop net.h from common header
Move this header out of the common header. Network support is used in
quite a few places but it still does not warrant blanket inclusion.

Note that this net.h header itself has quite a lot in it. It could be
split into the driver-mode support, functions, structures, checksumming,
etc.

c3dc39a2f8 arm: Don't include common.h in header files
It is bad practice to include common.h in other header files since it can
bring in any number of superfluous definitions. It implies that some C
files don't include it and thus may be missing CONFIG options that are set
up by that file. The C files should include these themselves.

Update some header files in arch/arm to drop this.

714497e327 efi_loader: round the memory area in efi_add_memory_map()
Virtually all callers of this function do the rounding on their own.
Some do it right, some don't. Instead of doing this in each caller,
do the rounding in efi_add_memory_map(). Change the size parameter
to bytes instead of pages and remove aligning and size calculation in
all callers.

There is no more need to make the original efi_add_memory_map() (which
takes pages as size) available outside the module. Thus rename it to
efi_add_memory_map_pg() and make it static to prevent further misuse
outside the module.

6aead23323 imx: imx8qm/qxp: Recover SPL data section for partition reboot
When doing partition reboot, the boot image won't be reloaded by ROM,
it is just CPU reset to boot entry. The SW has to keep the boot image
inside the RAM unchanged. It includes both the TEXT section and DATA
section.

For SPL, the problem is DATA section will be updated at runtime, so in
next partition reboot the data is not same as the initial value from
cold boot. If any code depends on the initial value, then it will have
problem.

This patch introduces a mechanism to recover the data section
for partition reboot. It adds a new section in image for saving
data section. When from cold boot, the data section will be saved
to that new section at SPL early phase. When from partition reboot,
the data section will be restored from the new section.

6eb32a03e0 driver: net: fm: add DM ETH support
Probe the FMan MACs based on the device tree while
retaining the legacy code/functionality.
One notable change introduced here is that, for DM_ETH,
the name of the interfaces is corrected to the fmX-macY
format, that avoids the referral to the MAC block names
which were incorrect for FMan v3 devices (i.e. DTSEC,
TGEC) and had weird formatting (i.e. FM1@DTSEC6, FM1@TGEC1).
The legacy code is left unchanged in this respect.

f1bce08426 Drop CONFIG_FSL_ESDHC_USE_PERIPHERAL_CLK usage
The eSDHC reference clocks should be provided by speed.c in arch/.
And we do not need CONFIG_FSL_ESDHC_USE_PERIPHERAL_CLK option to

382de4a7e9 arm64: add an option to switch visibility of CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_BSS_OFFSET
By default, CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_BSS_OFFSET was made invisible by not
giving a prompt to it.

The only way to define it is to hard-code an extra entry in SoC/board
Kconfig, like arch/arm/mach-tegra/tegra{186,210}/Kconfig.

Add a prompt to it in order to allow defconfig files to specify the
value of CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_BSS_OFFSET.

With this, CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_BSS_OFFSET would become always visible.
So, we need a new bool option to turn it off by default.

I move the 'default 524288' to the common place. This value is not too
big, but is big enough to avoid the overwrap of DT in most platforms.
If 512KB is not a suitable choice for your platform, you can change it
from your defconfig or menuconfig etc.

1dff14c87d armv8/fsl-layerscape: Add loop to check L3 dcache status
Flushing L3 cache may need variable time depending upon cache line
allocation.

Coming up with a proper timeout value would be best handled by
simulations under multiple scenarios in your actual system.
>From the purely HN-F point of view, the flush would take ~15 cycles for
a clean line, and ~22 cycles for a dirty line. For the dirty line case,
there are many variables outside the HN-F that will increase the
duration per line. For example, a *DBIDResp from the SN-F/SBSX,
memory controller latency, SN-F/SBSX RetryAck responses, CCN ring
congestion, CCN ring hops, etc, etc. The worst-case timeout would
have to factor in all of these variables plus the HN-F cycles for
every line in the L3, and assuming all lines are dirty

In case if L3 is not flushed properly, system behaviour will be
erratic, so remove timeout and add loop to check status of L3 cache.

System will stuck in while loop if there is some issue in L3 cache
flushing.

add4967124 arch: armv8: Provide a way to disable cache maintenance ops
On AM654 SoC(arm64) which is IO coherent and has L3 Cache, cache
maintenance operations being done to support non-coherent platforms
causes issues.

For example, here is how U-Boot prepares/handles a buffer to receive
data from a device (DMA Write). This may vary slightly depending on the
driver framework:

Start DMA to write to destination buffer
Wait for DMA to be done (dma_receive()/dma_memcpy())
	Invalidate destination buffer (invalidate_dcache_range())
	Read from destination buffer

The invalidate after the DMA is needed in order to read latest data from
memory that’s updated by DMA write. Also, in case random prefetch has
pulled in buffer data during the “wait for DMA” before the DMA has
written to it. This works well for non-coherent architectures.

In case of coherent architecture with L3 cache, DMA write would directly
update L3 cache contents (assuming cacheline is present in L3) without
updating the DDR memory. So invalidate after “wait for DMA” in above
sequence would discard latest data and read will cause stale data to be
fetched from DDR. Therefore invalidate after “wait for DMA” is not
always correct on coherent architecture.

Therefore, provide a Kconfig option to disable cache maintenance ops on
coherent architectures. This has added benefit of improving the
performance of DMA transfers as we no longer need to invalidate/flush
individual cache lines(especially for buffer thats several KBs in size).

In order to facilitate use of same Kconfig across different
architecture, I have added the symbol to top level arch/Kconfig file.
Patch currently disables cache maintenance ops for arm64 only.
flush_dcache_all() and invalidate_dcache_all() are exclusively used
during enabling/disabling dcache and hence are not disabled.

1721b82c1f arm: fix hvc call
HVC call makes use of 6 mandatory arguments rather than 7 in the same way
as SMC calls. The 7th argument is optional (Client ID) for both HVC and

of this patch is just fix compilation error due to an invalid asm code in
the HVC call so that's why the 7th argument is removed.

The issue does not report any error in a normal build as hvc_call is not
used at all and is optimized by the compiler. Using -O0 triggers the
error so the patch is intended to fix issues on a ongoing effor to build

2e53759dc6 armv8: fsl-layerscape: reorder rgmii dpmacs' enablement
some dpmacs in armv8a based freescale layerscape SOCs can be
configured via both serdes(sgmii, xfi, xlaui etc) bits and via
EC*_PMUX(rgmii) bits in RCW.
e.g. dpmac 17 and 18 in LX2160A can be configured as SGMII from
serdes bits and as RGMII via EC1_PMUX/EC2_PMUX bits
Now if a dpmac is enabled by serdes bits then it takes precedence
over EC*_PMUX bits. i.e. in LX2160A if we select serdes protocol
that configures dpmac17 as SGMII and set the EC1_PMUX as RGMII,
then the dpmac is SGMII and not RGMII.

Therefore, move the fsl_rgmii_init after fsl_serdes_init. in
fsl_rgmii_init function of SOC, we will check if the dpmac is enabled
or not? if it is (fsl_serdes_init has already enabled the dpmac), then
don't enable it.

81ea00838c efi_loader: PSCI reset and shutdown
When an operating system started via bootefi tries to reset or power off
this is done by calling the EFI runtime ResetSystem(). On most ARMv8 system
the actual reset relies on PSCI. Depending on whether the PSCI firmware
resides the hypervisor (EL2) or in the secure monitor (EL3) either an HVC
or an SMC command has to be issued.

The current implementation always uses SMC. This results in crashes on
systems where the PSCI firmware is implemented in the hypervisor, e.g.
qemu-arm64_defconfig.

The logic to decide which call is needed based on the device tree is
already implemented in the PSCI firmware driver. During the EFI runtime
the device driver model is not available. But we can minimize code
duplication by merging the EFI runtime reset and poweroff code with
the PSCI firmware driver.

As the same HVC/SMC problem is also evident for the ARMv8 do_poweroff
and reset_misc routines let's move them into the same code module.

1416e2d225 armv8: make SPL exception vectors optional
Even though the exception vector table is a fundamental part of the ARM
architecture, U-Boot mostly does not make real use of it, except when
crash dumping. But having it in takes up quite some space, partly due to
the architectural alignment requirement of 2KB. Since we don't take special
care of that, the compiler adds a more or less random amount of padding
space, which increases the image size quite a bit, especially for the SPL.

On a typical Allwinner build this is around 1.5KB of padding, plus 1KB
for the vector table (mostly padding space again), then some extra code
to do the actual handling. This amounts to almost 10% of the maximum image
size, which is quite a lot for a pure debugging feature.

Add a Kconfig symbol to allow the exception vector table to be left out
of the build for the SPL.
For now this is "default y" for everyone, but specific defconfigs,
platforms or .config files can opt out here at will, to mitigate the code
size pressure we see for some SPLs.

15b6184971 armv8: Reduce exception handling code
The arm64 exception handling code is quite big, mostly due to
architectural alignment requirements. Each exception entry spans 32
instructions, which sounds generous, but is too small to fit all of the
save/branch/restore code in there. So at the moment we use only four
instructions, branching into shared save and restore routines.
To not leave the space for those remaining 28 instructions wasted, let's
split the save and restore routines and stuff them into the gaps.
This saves about 250 bytes of code, which is helpful for those tight
SPLs.

7e21fbca26 efi_loader: Rename sections to allow for implicit data
Some times gcc may generate data that is then used within code that may
be part of an efi runtime section. That data could be jump tables,
constants or strings.

In order to make sure we catch these, we need to ensure that gcc emits
them into a section that we can relocate together with all the other
efi runtime bits. This only works if the -ffunction-sections and
-fdata-sections flags are passed and the efi runtime functions are
in a section that starts with ".text".

Up to now we had all efi runtime bits in sections that did not
interfere with the normal section naming scheme, but this forces
us to do so. Hence we need to move the efi_loader text/data/rodata
sections before the global *(.text*) catch-all section.

With this patch in place, we should hopefully have an easier time
to extend the efi runtime functionality in the future.

be0d217952 arm: timer: sunxi: add Allwinner timer erratum workaround
The Allwinner A64 SoCs suffers from an arch timer implementation erratum,
where sometimes the lower 11 bits of the counter value erroneously
become all 0's or all 1's [1]. This leads to sudden jumps, both forwards and
backwards, with the latter one often showing weird behaviour.
Port the workaround proposed for Linux to U-Boot and activate it for all
A64 boards.
This fixes crashes when accessing MMC devices (SD cards), caused by a
recent change to actually use the counter value for timeout checks.

Fixes: 5ff8e54888 ("sunxi: improve throughput
in the sunxi_mmc driver")

e4679489c3 efi_loader: Convert runtime reset from switch to if statements
We currently handle the UEFI runtime reset / power off case handling via
a switch statement. Compilers (gcc in my case) may opt to handle these via
jump tables which they may conveniently put into .rodata which is not part
of the runtime section, so it will be unreachable when executed.

Fix this by just converting the switch statement into an if/else statement.
It produces smaller code that is faster and also correct because we no
longer refer .rodata from efi runtime code.

This patch fills the MMU map for DDR at run time based on information read

The patch is needed because for systems which has for example 1GB of memory

Mask HRESET_B after cleared the the RCW_SRC, because in the workaround
we override the RCW_SRC and if HRESET_B is issued after the override
then SoC cannot find valid RCW as the RCW_SRC was overwritten and
result in hang. So we need to mask HRESET_B in case user asserts it,
and the PORESET_B should be asserted which leads to resampling of
cfg_rcw_src pins and loading of correct RCW_SRC.

JR3 was getting removed from device tree only if random number
generation was successful. However, if SEC firmware is present,
JR3 should be removed from device tree node irrespective of the
random seed generation as SEC firmware reserves it for it's use.
Not removing it in case of random number generation failure causes
the kernel to crash.

Random number generation was being called twice. This is not
required. If SEC firmware is running, SIP call can be made to the SEC
firmware to get the random number. This call itself would return
failure if function is not supported. Duplicate calling of random
number generation function has been removed.

83d290c56f SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel style
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.

In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.

This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.
