b27f48540e armv8: layerscape: fix spin-table support
Spin tables are broken with bootefi. This is because - in contrast to
the booti call chain - there is no call to smp_kick_all_cpus(). Due to
this missing call the secondary CPUs are never released from their "wait
for interrupt state", see secondary_boot_func() in lowlevel.S.

Originally, this "wait for interrupt" is there to make sure, the spin
table is cleared before the secondary cores read it for the first time.
But the boot flow for the layerscape architecture is different from
that. The CPUs are release from their BootROM _after_ U-Boot's
spin-table is cleared, see fsl_layerscape_wake_seconday_cores() in mp.c.
Thus, there is no need to wait for this interrupt and no need for
kicking all cores on cpu_release. An atomic 64bit write to the
spin-table and a "sev" is sufficient.

f8c5815c1b armv8: ls1028a: move FSL_LAYERSCAPE to kconfig
CONFIG_FSL_LAYERSCAPE is available in kconfig. There is no need to
define it per board; the ls1028a_common.h is really board dependent and
only fits to the NXP eval boards. Instead select CONFIG_FSL_LAYERSCAPE
when ARCH_LS1028A is selected.

b75d8dc564 treewide: convert bd_t to struct bd_info by coccinelle
The Linux coding style guide (Documentation/process/coding-style.rst)
clearly says:

  It's a **mistake** to use typedef for structures and pointers.

Besides, using typedef for structures is annoying when you try to make
headers self-contained.

Let's say you have the following function declaration in a header:

  void foo(bd_t *bd);

This is not self-contained since bd_t is not defined.

To tell the compiler what 'bd_t' is, you need to include <asm/u-boot.h>

  #include <asm/u-boot.h>
  void foo(bd_t *bd);

Then, the include direcective pulls in more bloat needlessly.

If you use 'struct bd_info' instead, it is enough to put a forward
declaration as follows:

  struct bd_info;
  void foo(struct bd_info *bd);

Right, typedef'ing bd_t is a mistake.

I used coccinelle to generate this commit.

The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows:

  <smpl>
  @@
  typedef bd_t;
  @@
  -bd_t
  +struct bd_info
  </smpl>

f8ddd8cbb5 arm64: issue ISB after updating system registers
ARM Architecture reference manual clearly states that PE pipeline
should be flushed after changes to some system registers. Refer to
paragraph "B2.3.5 Memory Barriers" at page B2-92 of "Arm Architecture
Reference Manual ARMv8 for ARMv8-A Architecture Profile" (ARM DDI
0487B.a).

Failing to issue instruction synchronization barrier can lead to
spurious errors, like synchronous exception when accessing FPU
registers. This is very prominent on CPUs with long instruction
pipeline, like ARM Cortex A72.

This change fixes the following U-Boot panic:

We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward
declarations which means that header files must include the full header to

Drop the typedef and rename the struct to remove the _s suffix which is
now not useful.

This requires quite a few header-file additions.

c3dc39a2f8 arm: Don't include common.h in header files
It is bad practice to include common.h in other header files since it can
bring in any number of superfluous definitions. It implies that some C
files don't include it and thus may be missing CONFIG options that are set
up by that file. The C files should include these themselves.

Update some header files in arch/arm to drop this.

714497e327 efi_loader: round the memory area in efi_add_memory_map()
Virtually all callers of this function do the rounding on their own.
Some do it right, some don't. Instead of doing this in each caller,
do the rounding in efi_add_memory_map(). Change the size parameter
to bytes instead of pages and remove aligning and size calculation in
all callers.

There is no more need to make the original efi_add_memory_map() (which
takes pages as size) available outside the module. Thus rename it to
efi_add_memory_map_pg() and make it static to prevent further misuse
outside the module.

6aead23323 imx: imx8qm/qxp: Recover SPL data section for partition reboot
When doing partition reboot, the boot image won't be reloaded by ROM,
it is just CPU reset to boot entry. The SW has to keep the boot image
inside the RAM unchanged. It includes both the TEXT section and DATA
section.

For SPL, the problem is DATA section will be updated at runtime, so in
next partition reboot the data is not same as the initial value from
cold boot. If any code depends on the initial value, then it will have
problem.

This patch introduces a mechanism to recover the data section
for partition reboot. It adds a new section in image for saving
data section. When from cold boot, the data section will be saved
to that new section at SPL early phase. When from partition reboot,
the data section will be restored from the new section.

f1bce08426 Drop CONFIG_FSL_ESDHC_USE_PERIPHERAL_CLK usage
The eSDHC reference clocks should be provided by speed.c in arch/.
And we do not need CONFIG_FSL_ESDHC_USE_PERIPHERAL_CLK option to
select which clock to use. Because we can make the driver to select
the periperhal clock which is better (provides higher frequency)
automatically if its value is provided by speed.c.

This patch is to drop this option and make driver to select clock
automatically. Also fix peripheral clock calculation issue in
fsl_lsch2_speed.c/fsl_lsch3_speed.c.

b6e7ef4bf7 ARM: mxs: spl_boot.c: make early_delay more robust
It's true that booting normally doesn't take long enough for the
register to roll (which actually happens in a little over an hour, not
just a few seconds). However, the counter starts at power-on, and if
the board is held in reset to be booted over USB, one actually risks
hitting wrap-around during boot, which can both result in too short
delays (if the "st += delay" calculation makes st small) and
theoretically also unbound delays (if st ends up being UINT_MAX and
one just misses sampling digctl_microseconds at that point).

It doesn't take more code to DTRT, and once bitten, twice shy.

According to IMX28CEC rev. 4, 10/2018, Table 15. Recommended Operating

Increase the brownout threshold to 1.4V. The documentation recommends

Implement the weak board_return_to_bootrom() function so that when
enabling the spl_bootrom.c driver, one can make use of usbboot on
spear platforms. All necessary information to return to the BootROM

we save the BootROM's stack pointer into the SPL .data section.

382de4a7e9 arm64: add an option to switch visibility of CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_BSS_OFFSET
By default, CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_BSS_OFFSET was made invisible by not
giving a prompt to it.

The only way to define it is to hard-code an extra entry in SoC/board
Kconfig, like arch/arm/mach-tegra/tegra{186,210}/Kconfig.

Add a prompt to it in order to allow defconfig files to specify the
value of CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_BSS_OFFSET.

With this, CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_BSS_OFFSET would become always visible.
So, we need a new bool option to turn it off by default.

I move the 'default 524288' to the common place. This value is not too
big, but is big enough to avoid the overwrap of DT in most platforms.
If 512KB is not a suitable choice for your platform, you can change it
from your defconfig or menuconfig etc.

1dff14c87d armv8/fsl-layerscape: Add loop to check L3 dcache status
Flushing L3 cache may need variable time depending upon cache line
allocation.

Coming up with a proper timeout value would be best handled by
simulations under multiple scenarios in your actual system.
>From the purely HN-F point of view, the flush would take ~15 cycles for
a clean line, and ~22 cycles for a dirty line. For the dirty line case,
there are many variables outside the HN-F that will increase the
duration per line. For example, a *DBIDResp from the SN-F/SBSX,
memory controller latency, SN-F/SBSX RetryAck responses, CCN ring
congestion, CCN ring hops, etc, etc. The worst-case timeout would
have to factor in all of these variables plus the HN-F cycles for
every line in the L3, and assuming all lines are dirty

In case if L3 is not flushed properly, system behaviour will be
erratic, so remove timeout and add loop to check status of L3 cache.

System will stuck in while loop if there is some issue in L3 cache
flushing.

b7b4af0e35 CONFIG_SYS_[ID]CACHE_OFF: unify the 'any' case
According to De Morgan's Law[1]:
	!(A && B) = !A || !B
	!(A || B) = !A && !B

There are 5 places in the code where we find:
	#if !(defined(CONFIG_SYS_ICACHE_OFF) && defined(CONFIG_SYS_DCACHE_OFF))
and 4 places in the code where we find:
	#if (!defined(CONFIG_SYS_ICACHE_OFF) || !defined(CONFIG_SYS_DCACHE_OFF))

In words, the construct:
	!defined(CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF)
means:
	"is the [DI]CACHE on?"
and the construct:
	defined(CONFIG_SYS_[DI]CACHE_OFF)
means:
	"is the [DI]CACHE off?"

Therefore
	!(defined(CONFIG_SYS_ICACHE_OFF) && defined(CONFIG_SYS_DCACHE_OFF))
means:
	"the opposite of 'are they both off?'"
in other words:
	"are either or both on?"
and:
	(!defined(CONFIG_SYS_ICACHE_OFF) || !defined(CONFIG_SYS_DCACHE_OFF)
means:
	"are either or both on?"

As a result, I've converted the 4 instances of '(!A || !B)' to '!(A && B)' for
consistency.

add4967124 arch: armv8: Provide a way to disable cache maintenance ops
On AM654 SoC(arm64) which is IO coherent and has L3 Cache, cache
maintenance operations being done to support non-coherent platforms
causes issues.

For example, here is how U-Boot prepares/handles a buffer to receive
data from a device (DMA Write). This may vary slightly depending on the
driver framework:

	Start DMA to write to destination buffer
	Wait for DMA to be done (dma_receive()/dma_memcpy())
	Invalidate destination buffer (invalidate_dcache_range())
	Read from destination buffer

The invalidate after the DMA is needed in order to read latest data from
memory that’s updated by DMA write. Also, in case random prefetch has
pulled in buffer data during the “wait for DMA” before the DMA has
written to it. This works well for non-coherent architectures.

In case of coherent architecture with L3 cache, DMA write would directly
update L3 cache contents (assuming cacheline is present in L3) without
updating the DDR memory. So invalidate after “wait for DMA” in above
sequence would discard latest data and read will cause stale data to be
fetched from DDR. Therefore invalidate after “wait for DMA” is not
always correct on coherent architecture.

Therefore, provide a Kconfig option to disable cache maintenance ops on
coherent architectures. This has added benefit of improving the
performance of DMA transfers as we no longer need to invalidate/flush
individual cache lines(especially for buffer thats several KBs in size).

In order to facilitate use of same Kconfig across different
architecture, I have added the symbol to top level arch/Kconfig file.
Patch currently disables cache maintenance ops for arm64 only.
flush_dcache_all() and invalidate_dcache_all() are exclusively used
during enabling/disabling dcache and hence are not disabled.

This fixes relaction isses with the PSCI_TABLE entries in
the psci_32_table and psci_64_table.

When using 32-bit adress pointers relocation was not being applied to
the tables, causing PSCI handlers to point to the un-relocated code
area. By using 64-bit data relocation is properly applied. The
handlers are thus in the "secure data" area, which is protected by
/memreserve/ in the FDT.

1721b82c1f arm: fix hvc call
HVC call makes use of 6 mandatory arguments rather than 7 in the same way
as SMC calls. The 7th argument is optional (Client ID) for both HVC and
SMC but is implemented as 16-bit parameter and register R7 or W7. The aim
of this patch is just fix compilation error due to an invalid asm code in
the HVC call so that's why the 7th argument is removed.

The issue does not report any error in a normal build as hvc_call is not
used at all and is optimized by the compiler. Using -O0 triggers the
error so the patch is intended to fix issues on a ongoing effor to build
U-Boot with -O0.

2e53759dc6 armv8: fsl-layerscape: reorder rgmii dpmacs' enablement
some dpmacs in armv8a based freescale layerscape SOCs can be
configured via both serdes(sgmii, xfi, xlaui etc) bits and via
EC*_PMUX(rgmii) bits in RCW.
e.g. dpmac 17 and 18 in LX2160A can be configured as SGMII from
serdes bits and as RGMII via EC1_PMUX/EC2_PMUX bits
Now if a dpmac is enabled by serdes bits then it takes precedence
over EC*_PMUX bits. i.e. in LX2160A if we select serdes protocol
that configures dpmac17 as SGMII and set the EC1_PMUX as RGMII,
then the dpmac is SGMII and not RGMII.

Therefore, move the fsl_rgmii_init after fsl_serdes_init. in
fsl_rgmii_init function of SOC, we will check if the dpmac is enabled
or not? if it is (fsl_serdes_init has already enabled the dpmac), then
don't enable it.
