b26334824b board: freescale: various boards: Let env subsystem set gd->env_addr
Various freescale boards set gd->env_addr to default_environment in
board_init(), conditional on CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE, but this is
redundant, since it is done by env_init() before board_init() is called.

Let the env subsystem handle this.

77b11f7604 net: replace the "xfi" phy-mode with "10gbase-r"
As part of the effort of making U-Boot work with the same device tree as
Linux, there is an issue with the "xfi" phy-mode. To be precise, in
Linux there was a discussion (for those who have time to read:
https://lore.kernel.org/netdev/1576768881-24971-2-git-send-email-madalin.bucur@oss.nxp.com/)

which led to a patch:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/netdev/net-next.git/commit/?id=c114574ebfdf42f826776f717c8056a00fa94881

TL;DR: "xfi" was standardized in Linux as "10gbase-r".

This patch changes the relevant occurrences in U-Boot to use "10gbase-r"
instead of "xfi" wherever applicable.

b5ee48c099 arm: fsl: common: Improve NXP VID driver PMBus support
This patch adds support for more PMBus compatible devices to the NXP
drivers for its QorIQ family devices. At runtime, the voltage regulator is
queried over I2C, and the required voltage multiplier determined. This
change supports the DIRECT and LINEAR PMBus voltage reporting modes.

Previously, the driver only supported a few specific devices such as the
IR36021 and LTC3882, so this change allows the QorIQ series to be used
with a much larger variety of core voltage regulator devices.

checkpatch warning "Use if (IS_DEFINED (...))" was ignored to maintain
consistency with the existing code.

2147a16983 dm: i2c: use CONFIG_IS_ENABLED macro for DM_I2C/DM_I2C_GPIO
Use CONFIG_IS_ENABLED() macro, which provides more convenient
way to check $(SPL)DM_I2C/$(SPL)DM_I2C_GPIO configs
for both SPL and U-Boot proper.

CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(DM_I2C) expands to:
- 1 if CONFIG_SPL_BUILD is undefined and CONFIG_DM_I2C is set to 'y',
- 1 if CONFIG_SPL_BUILD is defined and CONFIG_SPL_DM_I2C is set to 'y',
- 0 otherwise.

401d1c4f5d common: Drop asm/global_data.h from common header
Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In
a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding
another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header
files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few
cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so
remove that include.

b75d8dc564 treewide: convert bd_t to struct bd_info by coccinelle
The Linux coding style guide (Documentation/process/coding-style.rst)
clearly says:

  It's a **mistake** to use typedef for structures and pointers.

Besides, using typedef for structures is annoying when you try to make
headers self-contained.

Let's say you have the following function declaration in a header:

  void foo(bd_t *bd);

This is not self-contained since bd_t is not defined.

To tell the compiler what 'bd_t' is, you need to include <asm/u-boot.h>

  #include <asm/u-boot.h>
  void foo(bd_t *bd);

Then, the include direcective pulls in more bloat needlessly.

If you use 'struct bd_info' instead, it is enough to put a forward
declaration as follows:

  struct bd_info;
  void foo(struct bd_info *bd);

Right, typedef'ing bd_t is a mistake.

I used coccinelle to generate this commit.

The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows:

  <smpl>
  @@
  typedef bd_t;
  @@
  -bd_t
  +struct bd_info
  </smpl>

b62526282a arm: dts: ls1088aqds: add CONFIG_MULTI_DTB_FIT support
Add support for selecting the appropriate DTS file depending on the
SERDES protocol used. The fsl-ls2088a-qds DTS will be used by default if
there isn't a DTS file specifically made for the current SERDES
protocol.

This patch adds support for the on-board ports (DPMAC 1,2 and 4,5) found
on the SERDES protocols 21(0x15) and 29(0x1d) for SD#1.

On the LS1088AQDS board EMDIO1 is used with two onboard RGMII PHYs
(Realtek RTL8211FD-CG), as well as 2 input/output connectors for
mezzanine cards. Configuration signals from the Qixis FPGA control the
routing of the external MDIOs.

Register 0x54 of the Qixis FPGA controls the routing of the EMDIO1 one
of the 2 IO slots. As a consequence, a new node is added to
describe register 0x54 as a MDIO mux controlled with child nodes
describing all the IO slots as MDIO buses.

Also, in case CONFIG_DM_ETH and CONFIG_MULTI_DTB_FIT are enabled
implement the board_fit_config_name_match() function in order to choose
the appropriate DTS.

83d290c56f SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel style
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.

In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.

This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

b08c8c4870 libfdt: move headers to <linux/libfdt.h> and <linux/libfdt_env.h>
Thomas reported U-Boot failed to build host tools if libfdt-devel
package is installed because tools include libfdt headers from
/usr/include/ instead of using internal ones.

This commit moves the header code:
  include/libfdt.h         -> include/linux/libfdt.h
  include/libfdt_env.h     -> include/linux/libfdt_env.h

and replaces include directives:
  #include <libfdt.h>      -> #include <linux/libfdt.h>
  #include <libfdt_env.h>  -> #include <linux/libfdt_env.h>

ef0789b7c6 ls1088a: Add VID support for QDS and RDB platforms
This patch adds the support for VID on LS1088AQDS and LS1088ARDB systems.
It reads the fusesr register and changes the VDD accordingly by adjusting
the voltage via LTC3882 regulator.

This patch also takes care of the special case of 0.9V VDD is present in
fusesr register. In that case,it also changes the SERDES voltage by
disabling the SERDES, changing the SVDD and then re-enabling SERDES.

changes to reduce SPL size:
1. Changes in board/freescale/ls1088a/Makefile to remove
   compilation of eth.c and cpld.c in case of SPL build.
2. Changes in board/freescale/ls1088a/ls1088a.c to keep
   board_early_init_f funcations in case of SPL build.
3. Changes in ls1088a_common.h & ls1088ardb.h to remove driver
   specific macros due to which static data was being compiled in
