b0e6ef4640 dm: i2c: tegra: Convert to driver model
This converts all Tegra boards over to use driver model for I2C. The driver
is adjusted to use driver model and the following obsolete CONFIGs are
removed:

   - CONFIG_SYS_I2C_INIT_BOARD
   - CONFIG_I2C_MULTI_BUS
   - CONFIG_SYS_MAX_I2C_BUS
   - CONFIG_SYS_I2C_SPEED
   - CONFIG_SYS_I2C

This has been tested on:
- trimslice (no I2C)
- beaver
- Jetson-TK1

It has not been tested on Tegra 114 as I don't have that board.

a6c7b46181 ARM: tegra: Add support for nyan-big board
Nyan-big is a Tegra124 clamshell board that is very similar to venice2, but
it has a different panel, the sdcard cd and wp sense are flipped, and it has
a different revision of the AS3722 PMIC.

This is the Acer Chromebook 13 CB5-311-T7NN (13.3-inch HD, NVIDIA
Tegra K1, 2GB). The display is not currently supported, so it should
boot on other nyan-based Chromebooks also, but only the device tree for
nyan-big is provided here.

The device tree file is from Linux but with features removed which are
unlikely to be supported in U-Boot soon (regulators, pinmux). Also the
addresses are updated to 32-bit.

0521f98427 dm: tegra: Add platform data for the GPIO driver
Add platform data for the GPIO driver. It doesn't need to contain anything
since the GPIO driver will actually use information from the CONFIGs for
now. This merely serves to ensure that the GPIO driver is bound.

606f5bc812 ARM: tegra: add PCIe-related pins to the Jetson TK1 pinmux tables
This pinmux tables currently omit any configuration for PCIe clk_req,
wake, and rst pins, which in turn causes intermittent failures in
U-Boot's PCIe support. Import an updated version of the pinmux tables
which rectifies this.

461be2f96e kconfig: remove redundant "string" type in arch and board Kconfigs
Now the types of CONFIG_SYS_{ARCH, CPU, SOC, VENDOR, BOARD, CONFIG_NAME}
are specified in arch/Kconfig.

We can delete the ones in arch and board Kconfig files.

This commit can be easily reproduced by the following command:

2fccd2d96b tegra: Convert tegra GPIO driver to use driver model
This is an implementation of GPIOs for Tegra that uses driver model. It has
been tested on trimslice and also using the new iotrace feature.

The implementation uses a top-level GPIO device (which has no actual GPIOS).
Under this all the banks are created as separate GPIO devices.

The GPIOs are named as per the Tegra datasheet/header files: A0..A7, B0..B7,
..., Z0..Z7, AA0..AA7, etc.

Since driver model is not yet available before relocation, or in SPL, a
special function is provided for seaboard's SPL code.

Becuase the board select menu in arch/arm/Kconfig is too big,
move the Tegra board select menu to tegra/Kconfig.

Insert the Tegra SoC select menu between the arch select and the
board select.

Consolidate also common settings (CONFIG_SYS_CPU="armv7" and

93d4334f7f Add board MAINTAINERS files
We have switched to Kconfig and the boards.cfg file is going to
be removed. We have to retrieve the board status and maintainers
information from it.

The MAINTAINERS format as in Linux Kernel would be nice
because we can crib the scripts/get_maintainer.pl script.

After some discussion, we chose to put a MAINTAINERS file under each
board directory, not the top-level one because we want to collect
relevant information for a board into a single place.

TODO:
Modify get_maintainer.pl to scan multiple MAINTAINERS files.

dd84058d24 kconfig: add board Kconfig and defconfig files
This commit adds:
 - arch/${ARCH}/Kconfig
    provide a menu to select target boards
 - board/${VENDOR}/${BOARD}/Kconfig or board/${BOARD}/Kconfig
    set CONFIG macros to the appropriate values for each board
 - configs/${TARGET_BOARD}_defconfig
    default setting of each board

(This commit was automatically generated by a conversion script
based on boards.cfg)

In Linux Kernel, defconfig files are located under
arch/${ARCH}/configs/ directory.
It works in Linux Kernel since ARCH is always given from the
command line for cross compile.

But in U-Boot, ARCH is not given from the command line.
Which means we cannot know ARCH until the board configuration is done.
That is why all the "*_defconfig" files should be gathered into a
single directory ./configs/.

2eba87a30a ARM: tegra: update Venice2 pinmux
This re-imports the entire Venice2 pinmux data from the board's master
spreadsheet, and makes use of the new IO clamping GPIO initialization
table features. This makes the board port fully compliant with the
required HW-defined pinmux initialization sequence.

9348532f51 ARM: tegra: make use of GPIO init table on Jetson TK1
The HW-defined procedure for booting Tegra requires that some pins be
set up as GPIOs immediately at boot in order to avoid glitches on those
pins, when the pinmux is programmed. This patch implements this
procedure for Jetson TK1. For pins which are to be used as GPIOs, the
pinmux mux function need not be programmed, so the pinmux table is also
adjusted.

8f9fd6caaf usb: tegra: combine header file
Combine the Tegra USB header file into one header file for all SoCs.
Use ifdef to account for the difference, especially Tegra20 is quite
different from newer SoCs. This avoids duplication, mainly for
Tegra30 and newer devices.

This renames all the pinmux pins, drive groups, and functions so they
have a prefix which matches the type name. These lists are also auto-
generated using scripts that were also used to generate the kernel
pinctrl drivers. This ensures that the lists are consistent between the
two.

The entries in tegra124_pingroups[] are all updated to remove the columns
which are no longer used.

All affected code is updated to match.

There are differences in the set of drive groups. I have validated this
against the TRM. There are differences order of pin definitions in
pinmux.c; these previously had significant mismatches with the correct
order:-( I adjusted a few entries in pinmux-config-venice2.h since the
set of legal functions for some pins was updated to match the TRM.

Clean up the naming of pinmux-related objects:
* Refer to drive groups rather than pad groups to match the Linux kernel.
* Ensure all pinmux API types are prefixed with pmux_, values (defines)
  are prefixed with PMUX_, and functions prefixed with pinmux_.
* Modify a few type names to make their content clearer.
* Minimal changes to SoC-specific .h/.c files are made so the code still
  compiles. A separate per-SoC change will be made immediately following,
  in order to keep individual patch size down.

352580870c ARM: tegra: make all I2C ports open-drain
I2C protocol requires open-drain IOs. Fix the Dalmore and Venice2 pinmux
tables to configure the IOs correctly. Without this, Tegra may actively
drive the lines high while an external device is actively driving the
lines low, which can only lead to bad things.

5ab502cb89 dts: move device tree sources to arch/$(ARCH)/dts/
Unlike Linux Kernel, U-Boot historically had *.dts files under
board/$(VENDOR)/dts/ and *.dtsi files under arch/$(ARCH)/dts/.

I think arch/$(ARCH)/dts dicretory is a better location
to store both *.dts and *.dtsi files.

For example, before this commit, board/xilinx/dts directory
had both Microblaze dts (microblaze-generic.dts) and
ARM dts (zynq-*.dts), which are totally unrelated.

This commit moves *.dts to arch/$(ARCH)/dts/ directories,
allowing us to describe nicely mutiple DTBs generation in the next commit.

9e4140329e kbuild: change out-of-tree build
This commit changes the working directory
where the build process occurs.

Before this commit, build process occurred under the source
tree for both in-tree and out-of-tree build.

That's why we needed to add $(obj) prefix to all generated
files in makefiles like follows:
  $(obj)u-boot.bin:  $(obj)u-boot

Here, $(obj) is empty for in-tree build, whereas it points
to the output directory for out-of-tree build.

And our old build system changes the current working directory
with "make -C <sub-dir>" syntax when descending into the
sub-directories.

On the other hand, Kbuild uses a different idea
to handle out-of-tree build and directory descending.

The build process of Kbuild always occurs under the output tree.
When "O=dir/to/store/output/files" is given, the build system
changes the current working directory to that directory and
restarts the make.

Kbuild uses "make -f $(srctree)/scripts/Makefile.build obj=<sub-dir>"
syntax for descending into sub-directories.
(We can write it like "make $(obj)=<sub-dir>" with a shorthand.)
This means the current working directory is always the top
of the output directory.

f7dc4ac37c ARM: tegra: add Venice2 (Tegra124) board
These are the board files for Venice2 (Tegra124), plus the AS3722 PMIC
files. PMIC init will be moved to pmic_common_init later.

This builds/boots on Venice2, SPI/MMC/USB/I2C all work. Audio, display
and WB/LP0 are not supported yet.

dcd12518b1 ARM: tegra: only build __pinmux_nand() when it's needed
__pinmux_nand() won't compile if PERIPH_ID_NDFLASH isn't defined.
Prevent this from causing build problems on newer SoCs without NAND
support (or without SW support for NAND yet), but preventing
compilation unless the function will actually be used, i.e. when
CONFIG_TEGRA_NAND is defined.

de351d6be6 lib: time: add weak timer_init() function
If timer_init() is made a weak stub function, then it allows us to
remove several empty timer_init functions for those boards that
already have a timer initialized when u-boot starts. Architectures
that use the timer framework may also remove the need for timer.c.

3bddafaab4 Makefile: convert makefiles to Kbuild style and delete grep switch
We have converted all makefiles needed to build $(LIBS).

Until this commit we used to grep switch so that U-Boot style
and Kbuild style makefiles coexist.
But we do not need any more.

Goint forward, use always Kbuild style Makefile when adding
a new Makefile

As suggested by Stephen Warren, use tegra_get_chip() to return
the pure CHIPID for a Tegra SoC (i.e. 0x20 for Tegra20, 0x30 for
Tegra30, etc.) and rename tegra_get_chip_type() to reflect its true
function, i.e. tegra_get_chip_sku(), which returns an ID like
TEGRA_SOC_T25, TEGRA_SOC_T33, etc.

Pad config registers exist in APB_MISC_GP space, and control slew
rate, drive strengh, schmidt, high-speed, and low-power modes for
all of the pingroups in Tegra30. This builds off of the pinmux
way of constructing init tables to configure select pads (SDIOCFG,
for instance) during pinmux_init().

Currently, no padcfg entries exist. SDIO3CFG will be added when the
MMC driver is added as per the TRM to work with the SD-card slot on
Dalmore E1611.

f31a5443a8 Tegra114: Dalmore: Always use DEFAULT instead of DISABLE for lock bits
The pinmux code issues a warning if the caller attempts to disable the
lock bit in a pinmux register, since this is impossible (once it's
locked, the only way to unlock it is to reset the device/pmt controller).

The I2C/DDC/CEC/USB macros expect a lock setting to be passed in,
and the previous setting of DISABLE caused the pinmux table parsing
code to issue the warning. Changing the lock bits in these table
entries to DEFAULT (i.e. don't touch it) fixes this.

8b7776b9f9 Tegra114: pinmux: Update pinmux tables & code, fix a bug w/SDMMC3 init
Use the latest tables & code from our internal U-Boot repo.
The SDMMC3_CD, CLK_LB_IN and CLK_LB_OUT offsets in the pingroup
table were off by a few indices, causing the pinmux init code to
write bad data to the PINMUX_AUX_ regs. This also enabled the lock
bit, which made it impossible to reconfig the pads correctly for
SDMMC3 (SD card on Dalmore) operation. Also fixes SPI_CS2_N,
USB_VBUS_EN0, HDMI_CEC and UART2_RXD/TXD muxes.

7ae18f3725 tegra: usb: move implementation into right directory
This moves the Tegra USB implementation into the drivers/usb/host
directory. Note that this merges the old
/arch/arm/cpu/armv7/tegra20/usb.c file into ehci-tegra.c. No code
changes, just moving stuff around.

v2: While at it also move some defines and the usb.h header file to make
usb driver usable for Tegra30.
NOTE: A lot more work is required to properly init the PHYs and PLL_U on
Tegra30, this is just to make porting easier and it does no harm here.

b19f57491a tegra: add SPI SLINK driver
Add driver for tegra SPI "SLINK" style driver.  This controller is
similar to the tegra20 SPI "SFLASH" controller.  The difference is
that the SLINK controller is a genernal purpose SPI controller and the
SFLASH controller is special purpose and can only talk to FLASH
devices.  In addition there are potentially many instances of an SLINK
controller on tegra and only a single instance of SFLASH.  Tegra20 is
currently ths only version of tegra that instantiates an SFLASH
controller.

This driver supports basic PIO mode of operation and is configurable
(CONFIG_OF_CONTROL) to be driven off devicetree bindings.  Up to 4
devices per controller may be attached, although typically only a
single chip select line is exposed from tegra per controller so in
reality this is usually limited to 1.

To enable this driver, use CONFIG_TEGRA_SLINK

72573543b5 ARM: tegra: enable 8-bit SD slots in board files
Harmony contains an SD slot with all 8 bits routed. This allows plugging
in an eMMC-chip-in-SD-form-factor.

Seaboard/Springbank/Ventana/AC100 all have an eMMC chip with all 8 bits
hooked up.

Now that the U-Boot eMMC code fully supports 8-bit operation, initialize
those ports as 8-bit instead of 4-bit to improve performance.

Whistler was already registering its ports as 8-bit.

TrimSlice doesn't have any 8-bit ports.

I don't have any Avionic Design boards nor the Colibri board to test with.

a2ab6b7d32 ARM: tegra: don't request GPIO from Seaboard's SPL
Seaboard has a GPIO that switches an external mux between Tegra's debug
UART and SPI flash. This is initialized from the SPL so that SPL debug
output can be seen. Simplify the code that does this, and don't actually
request the GPIO in the SPL; just program it. This saves ~4.5K from the
size of the SPL, mostly BSS due to the large gpio_names[] table that is
no longer required. This makes Seaboard's SPL fit within the current max
size.

da1f735272 ARM: tegra: select between Seaboard/Ventana at compile time
Seaboard and Ventana are very similar boards, and so share the seaboard.c
board file. The one difference needed so far is detected at run-time by
calling machine_is_ventana(). This bloats the Ventana build with code
that is never used. Switch to detecting Ventana at compile time to remove
bloat. This shaves ~5K off the SPL size on Ventana, and makes the SPL fit
within the max size.

Port USB1 on Whistler is intended as a device port for USB recovery.
Whistler's DT currently contains an alias for this USB port, even though
Whistler's config doesn't enable multiple USB controllers, so the alias
is unused. Remove the unused alias for consistency for now. Similar,
explicitly disable the port in the device tree too.

Makefile. This is because currently the top Makefile automaticly includes

0cd10c7abf tegra20: rework UART GPIO handling
Rename board provided gpio_config_uart() to
gpio_early_init_uart() as it does the same thing as the equally
called function provided by the uart-switch code. This allows
to simply call this function in early board init whether or not
we are building with CONFIG_UART_SWITCH defined.

Also provide a weak symbol for this function, to avoid the
need to provide this function for boards that don't need any
fixup.

This patch supersedes the earlier posted
"tegra: convert gpio_config_uart to weak symbol".
Build tested with MAKEALL -s tegra20

150c24936b Tegra20: Move some include files to arch-tegra for sharing with Tegra30
The move is pretty straight-forward. ap20.h and tegra20.h were renamed to ap.h and tegra.h.
Some files remain in arch-tegra20 but 'include' a file in 'arch-tegra' with #defines & structs
that will be common between T20 and T30 HW. HW-specific #defines, etc. stay in the 'arch-tegra20'
'root' file.

All boards build OK w/MAKEALL -s tegra20. Checkpatch.pl runs clean. Seaboard works OK.

29f3e3f248 Tegra: Change Tegra20 to Tegra in common code, prep for T30
Convert TEGRA20_ defines to either TEGRA_ or NV_PA_ where appropriate.
Convert tegra20_ source file and function names to tegra_, also.

Upcoming Tegra30 port will use common code/defines/names where possible.

cf46cdebdd ARM: tegra: fix Ventana standalone build
Ventana always pulls in files from the Seaboard directory, so needs to
mkdir $(obj)../seaboard unconditionally. This fixes:

git clean -f -d -x
./MAKEALL ventana

"MAKEALL -s tegra20" passes without this change, because Seaboard
happens to be built before Ventana, and hence the directory has already
been created.

I believe the mkdir is only needed for out-of-tree builds, since the
seaboard directory is part of the source tree. However, since we always
build an SPL for Tegra now, which I believe is effectively an out-of-tree
build, we will always need this at some time. The overhead of just
uncondtionally executing the mkdir is minimal, and simplifies the
Makefile, since we don't need to code up the exact minimal condition to
execute the mkdir.

../common/, so there's no need to mkdir the obj directory for such files.
