When multiple log() calls are used which don't end in newline, the
log prefix is prepended multiple times in the same line. This makes the
output look strange.
Fix this by detecting when the previous log record did not end in newline.
In that case, setting a flag.
Drop the unused BUFFSIZE in the test while we are here.
As an example implementation, update log_console to check the flag and
produce the expected output.

At present only a single flag (force_debug) is used in log records. Before
adding more, convert this into a bitfield, so more can be added without
using more space.
To avoid expanding the log_record struct itself (which some drivers may
wish to store in memory) reduce the line-number field to 16 bits. This
provides for up to 64K lines which should be enough for anyone.

At present this casts addresses to pointers so cannot work with sandbox.
Update the code to use map_sysmem() instead.
As part of this change, the existing load_ptr is renamed to src_ptr since
it is not a pointer to load_addr. It is confusing to use a similar name
for something that is not actually related. For the alignment code,
ALIGN() is used instead of open-coded alignment. Add a comment to the line
that casts away a const.
Use a (new) load_ptr variable to access memory at address load_addr.

Vendor Authorized Boot is a security feature for authenticating
the images such as U-Boot, ARM trusted Firmware, Linux kernel,
device tree blob and etc loaded from FIT. After those images are
loaded from FIT, the VAB certificate and signature block appended
at the end of each image are sent to Secure Device Manager (SDM)
for authentication. U-Boot will validate the SHA384 of the image
against the SHA384 hash stored in the VAB certificate before
sending the image to SDM for authentication.

At present initr_addr_map() is put at a late stage in the
init_sequence_r[] calls. This won't work because lot of
device driver initialization (e.g.: serial port) happens
before it but is lack of the address translation support.
This moves the call to a bit earlier, right after the DM
initialization.

At present fdt_read_prop() can only handle 1 or 2 cells. It is
called by fdt_read_range() which may be used to read PCI address
from <ranges> for a PCI bus node where the number of PCI address
cell is 3. The <ranges> property is an array of:
{ <child address> <parent address> <size in child address space> }
When trying to read <child address> from a PCI bus node using
fdt_read_prop(), as the codes below:
/* Read <child address> */
if (child_addr) {
r = fdt_read_prop(ranges, ranges_len, cell, child_addr,
acells);
if (r)
return r;
}
it will fail, because the PCI child address is made up of 3 cells
but fdt_read_prop() cannot handle it. We advance the cell offset
by 1 so that the <child address> can be correctly read.
This adds the special handling of such case.

At present these three Kconfigs exist even when bootstage is not enabled.
This is not necessary since bootstage.c is only built if BOOTSTAGE is
enabled.
Make them conditional. Also fix up the overflow message to mention TPL.

This is printed twice but we only need one message, since there is very
little processing in between them. Drop the second one, since all branches
of the switch() already have output. Update the U-Boot message to include
the phase being jumped to.

Some compression algorithms currently can be enabled for SPL and
U-Boot proper separately. Therefore take into account USE_HOSTCC
is well as CONFIG_IS_ENABLED() in these cases to prevent compiling these
functions in case of a host tool build.

The OUT endpoint can just be ignored as it is not used, just as the
corresponding Set_Report request for IN-only interfaces. E.g. the
Linux gadget hid keyboard also provides an interrupt endpoint.
Also cleanup confusing debug messages like "found set protocol", which
is printed when a keyboard device is found, while the Set_Protocol request
is issued quite some time later.

Selecting SPL_FIT_SIGNATURE (without selecting U-boot proper
verified boot first) breaks the build due to
CONFIG_FIT_SIGNATURE_MAX_SIZE being undefined, in addition to Kconfig
warnings on RSA and IMAGE_SIGN_INFO unmet dependencies.

Sometimes it is useful to boot OS with already fixed-up
device tree. Check for env variable 'skip_board_fixup'
before calling ft_board_setup().
Current behaviour is unchanged, additionally user can
set skip_board_fixup to 1 to skip the fixup.

OF_STDOUT_PATH was meant to hold the devicetree path to the serial
console, to be put into the linux,stdout-path property of the chosen node.
The only user of that was sunxi, and it was actually wrong for years
there: the paths hardcoded in sunxi_common.h were not matching the DTs,
evident by the leading 0's in nodenames, which have been removed years
ago.
On top of that, "linux,stdout-path" is now deprecated for a while (Linux
commit 2a9d832cc9aae from November 2014), and also all modern DTs
(including those included in U-Boot) carry a "stdout-path" property
already.
So remove the stanza from sunxi_common.h, and, since this was the last
user, also remove the associated bits from the rest of U-Boot.

When a FIT config specifies a devicetree, we should load it, no
questions asked. In the case of the "simple" FIT loading path, a
difficulty arises in selecting the load address of the FDT.
The default FDT location is right after the "kernel" or "firmware"
image. However, if that is an OP-TEE image, then the FDT may end up in
secure DRAM, and not be accessible to normal world kernels.
Although the best solution is to be more careful about the FDT
address, a viable workaround is to only append the FDT after a u-boot
or Linux image. This is identical to the previous logic, except that
FDT loading is extended to IH_OS_LINUX images.

Use the IS_ENABLED() macro to control code flow, instead of the
caveman approach of sprinkling #ifdefs. Code size is not affected, as
the linker garbage-collects unused functions. However, readability is
improved significantly.

The configuration node a sub node under "/configurations", which
describes the components to load from "/images". We only need to
locate this node once.
However, for each component, spl_fit_get_image_name() would parse the
FIT image, looking for the correct node. Such work duplication is not
necessary. Instead, once the node is found, cache it, and re-use it.

When a desired configuration is not found, conf_node will have a
negative value. Thus the for loop will start at the root "/" node of
the image, print the "/description" property, and stop.
It appears the intent of the loop was to print the names of the
subnodes under "/configurations". We would need the offset to the
"/configurations" node, which is abstracted by fit_find_config_node().
This change agrees that abstracting the node offset is the correct
design, and we shouldn't be parsing the configurations manually. Thus
the loop in spl_fit_get_image_name() is useless. Remove it.

Several loose arguments describe the FIT image. They are thus related,
and it makes sense to pass them together, in a structure. Examples
include the FIT blob pointer, offset to FDT nodes, and the offset to
external data.
Use a spl_fit_info structure to group these parameters.

The logical steps in spl_load_simple_fit() are difficult to follow.
I think the long comments, ifdefs, and ungodly number of variables
seriously affect the readability. In particular, it violates section 6
of the coding style, paragraphs (3), and (4).
The purpose of this patch is to improve the situation by
- Factoring out initialization and parsing to separate functions
- Reduce the number of variables by using a context structure
This change introduces no functional changes.

The size is derived from the FIT image itself. Any alignment
requirements are machine-specific and known by the board code. Thus
the total length can be derived from the FIT image and knowledge of
the platform. The 'length' argument is redundant. Remove it.

In case of IOMUX enabled it assumes that console devices in the list
are available to get them stopped properly via ->stop() callback.
However, the USB keyboard driver violates this assumption and tries
to play tricks so the device get destroyed while being listed as
an active console.
Swap the order of device deregistration and IOMUX update along with
converting to use iomux_replace_device() jelper to avoid the use-after-free.

At present this function does not accept a size for the FIT. This means
that it must be read from the FIT itself, introducing potential security
risk. Update the function to include a size parameter, which can be
invalid, in which case fit_check_format() calculates it.
For now no callers pass the size, but this can be updated later.
Also adjust the return value to an error code so that all the different
types of problems can be distinguished by the user.

When searching for a node called 'fred', any unit address appended to the
name is ignored by libfdt, meaning that 'fred' can match 'fred@1'. This
means that we cannot be sure that the node originally intended is the one
that is used.
Disallow use of nodes with unit addresses.
Update the forge test also, since it uses @ addresses.

At present fdt_find_regions() assumes that the FIT is a valid devicetree.
If the FIT has two root nodes this is currently not detected in this
function, nor does libfdt's fdt_check_full() notice. Also it is possible
for the root node to have a name even though it should not.
Add checks for these and return -FDT_ERR_BADSTRUCTURE if a problem is
detected.

Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In
a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding
another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header
files that had been pulled in, very indirectly. Finally, we have a few
cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so
remove that include.

If both stop key and delay key are empty, the length of these
keys is 0. The subtraction operation will cause the u_int type
variable to overflow, will cause illegal memory access in key
input loop.
This commit fixes this bug by using int type instead of u_init.

Typically in TPL/SPL the bloblist is quite small. But U-Boot proper may
want to add a lot more to it, such as ACPI tables.
Add a way to expand the bloblist by relocating it in U-Boot proper, along
with the other relocation activities.

It is useful to be able to figure out which phase we are loading next and
which phase we came from. Add some functions to handle this as well as
returning the name of a phase. This allows messages like "Booting to x"
where x is the next phase.
At present, TPL says 'Jumping to U-Boot' at the end, when in fact it is
jumping to SPL. This is confusing, so use the new functions to correct
this.
Tests for this will come with an upcoming minor SPL test refactor.

In fit_config_verify_sig(), when no 'signature*' subnode exists in
the configuration node, the fdt_for_each_subnode() loop is a no-op.
Therefore, no error flags are set, and 'err_,sg' is not populated
with an error string. This is incorrect behavior.
Populate err_msg to indicate that no 'signature' is found, before
entering the loop. The first call to fit_image_verify_sig() will
override clear err_msg, or set it to a more specific message.

H616 supports and needs bigger SPL than 32 KiB, mostly due to big DRAM
driver and need for PMIC configuration, which pulls several drivers which
are not needed otherwise.
spl_mmc_get_uboot_raw_sector() will now compare pre-configured size with
that, reported in SPL header. If size in header is bigger, it will use
that value instead.
In the process of function rework, also add missing function argument.

It turns out that there are at least 2 other SoCs which have basically
the same memory map, similar clocks and other features as H6. It's very
likely that we'll see more such SoCs in the future. In order to ease
porting to new SoCs and lower ifdef clutter, introduce common symbol for
them.

With our optimization settings the linker eliminates unused functions.
But for debugging it is better to compile with -Og or -O0. With -O0
compiling the sandbox fails due to the missing function fixup_cmdtable()
called by dm_reloc() and others.

When the hash check fails on a loadable image, the SPL/TPL simply
jump to the next one. This commit changes this behaviour, when the
hash check fails on a loadable image, the function spl_load_simple_fit
stops and report an error.

Adds an optional SALT value to AUTOBOOT_STOP_STR_SHA256. If a string
followed by a ":" is prepended to the sha256, the portion to the left
of the colon will be used as a salt and the password will be appended
to the salt before the sha256 is computed and compared.

It's realloc() 101 to avoid `foo = realloc(foo, ...);` call
due to getting a memory leak.
Actually it's not clear why realloc() has been used here.
If we shrink the array, the memcpy() overwrites it anyway
with the contents of a new array. If it becomes bigger,
same story.
Drop useless realloc() for good and thus preserve console list
in case of failed allocation.

Reduce the log overhead when the traces are filtered,
by moving the vsnprintf call from _log() to log_dispatch().
This patch avoids the printf treatment when LOG features is
activated, but trace is filtered, for example when
MAX_LOG_LEVEL=8 and LOG_DEFAULT_LEVEL=6.

Use the console puts functions to output the traces before
the log initialization (when CONFIG_LOG is not activated).
This patch allows to display the first U-Boot traces
(with macro debug) when CONFIG_DEBUG_UART is activated
and not only drop them.
For example for traces in board_f.c requested by the macro debug,
when LOG_DEBUG is defined and CONFIG_LOG is activated.

The __of_translate_address routine translates an address from the
device tree into a CPU physical address. A note in the description of
the routine explains that the crossing of any level with
since inherited from IBM. This does not happen for Texas Instruments, or
at least for the beaglebone device tree. Without this patch, in fact,
the translation into physical addresses of the registers contained in the
am33xx-clocks.dtsi nodes would not be possible. They all have a parent
with #size-cells = <0>.
The CONFIG_OF_TRANSLATE_ZERO_SIZE_CELLS symbol makes translation
possible even in the case of crossing levels with #size-cells = <0>.
The patch acts conservatively on address translation, except for
removing a check within the of_translate_one function in the
drivers/core/of_addr.c file:

There are two reasons:
1 The function of_empty_ranges_quirk always returns false, invalidating
the following if statement in case of null ranges. Therefore one of
the two checks is useless.
2 The implementation of the of_translate_one function found in the
common/fdt_support.c file has removed this check while keeping the one
about the 1:1 translation.
The patch adds a test and modifies a check for the correctness of an
address in the case of enabling translation also for zero size cells.
The added test checks translations of addresses generated by nodes of
a device tree similar to those you can find in the files am33xx.dtsi
and am33xx-clocks.dtsi for which the patch was created.
The patch was also tested on a beaglebone black board. The addresses
generated for the registers of the loaded drivers are those specified
by the AM335x reference manual.

So far we used the separate mksunxiboot tool for generating a bootable
image for Allwinner SPLs, probably just for historical reasons.
Use the mkimage framework to generate a so called eGON image the
Allwinner BROM expects.
The new image type is called "sunxi_egon", to differentiate it
from the (still to be implemented) secure boot TOC0 image.

This uses up space in the SPL binary but it always starts as zero. Also
some boards cannot support data in TPL (e.g. Intel Apollo Lake).
Use malloc() to allocate this structure instead, by moving the init a
little later, after malloc() is inited. Make this function optional since
it pulls in malloc().
This reduces the TPL binary size on coral by about 64 bytes

We can't really use 'pdata' since that is ambiguous (it could mean private
or platform data).

This construct is quite long-winded. In earlier days it made some sense
since auto-allocation was a strange concept. But with driver model now
used pretty universally, we can shorten this to 'auto'. This reduces
verbosity and makes it easier to read.
Coincidentally it also ensures that every declaration is on one line,
thus making dtoc's job easier.

Fit images were loaded to a buffer provided by spl_get_load_buffer().
This may work when the FIT image is small and fits between the start
of DRAM and SYS_TEXT_BASE.
One problem with this approach is that the location of the buffer may
be manipulated by changing the 'size' field of the FIT. A maliciously
crafted FIT image could place the buffer over executable code and be
able to take control of SPL. This is unacceptable for secure boot of
signed FIT images.
Another problem is with larger FIT images, usually containing one or
more linux kernels. In such cases the buffer be be large enough so as
to start before DRAM (Figure I). Trying to load an image in this case
has undefined behavior.
For example, on stm32mp1, the MMC controller hits a RX overrun error,
and aborts loading.

One possibility that was analyzed was to remove the negative offset,
such that the buffer starts at SYS_TEXT_BASE. This is not a proper
solution because on a number of platforms, the malloc buffer() is
placed at a fixed address, usually after SYS_TEXT_BASE. A large
enough FIT image could cause the malloc()'d data to be overwritten
(Figure II) when loading.

The solution proposed here is to replace the ad-hoc heuristics of
spl_get_load_buffer() with malloc(). This provides two advantages:
* Bounds checking of the buffer region
* Guarantees the buffer does not conflict with other memory
The first problem is solved by constraining the buffer such that it
will not overlap currently executing code. This eliminates the chance
of a malicious FIT being able to replace the executing SPL code prior
to signature checking.
The second problem is solved in conjunction with increasing
CONFIG_SYS_SPL_MALLOC_SIZE. Since the SPL malloc() region is
carefully crafted on a per-platform basis, the chances of memory
conflicts are virtually eliminated.

In some cases it is necessary to pass parameters to Linux so that it will
boot correctly. For example, the rootdev parameter is often used to
specify the root device. However the root device may change depending on
whence U-Boot loads the kernel. At present it is necessary to build up
the command line by adding device strings to it one by one.
It is often more convenient to provide a template for bootargs, with
U-Boot doing the substitution from other environment variables.
Add a way to substitute strings in the bootargs variable. This allows
things like "rootdev=${rootdev}" to be used in bootargs, with the
${rootdev} substitution providing the UUID of the root device.
For example, to substitute the GUID of the kernel partition:

This is particularly useful when the command line from another place. For
example, Chrome OS stores the command line next to the kernel itself. It
depends on the kernel version being used as well as the hardware features,
so it is extremely difficult to devise a U-Boot script that works on all
boards and kernel versions. With this feature, the command line can be
read from disk and used directly, with a few substitutions set up.

At present cli_simple_process_macros() requires that the caller provide
an output buffer that is exactly CONFIG_SYS_CBSIZE bytes in length. This
makes sense since it is designed to be used from the command line. But we
also want to use it for bootargs substitution.
Update the function to allow the caller to specify the buffer size. Also
return an error if the buffer is exhausted. The caller can ignore that if
preferred.

variable. Add another function to update a buffer instead. This will
allow zimage to use this feature.

At present bootm_process_cmdline_env() reads the 'bootargs' variable and
then writes it back afterwards. This is painful for tests, which would
rather use a simple buffer.
It is also useful for zimage to use a buffer, since it does not actually
put the Linux command line in the bootargs variable.
Refactor the existing code into two pieces. One handles reading and
writing the environment variable, as well as allocating a buffer for use
by the rest of the code, which now operates on a buffer.

At present this function fails silently on error. Update it to produce
an error code. Report this error to the user and abort the boot, since it
likely will prevent a successful start.
No tests are added at this stage, since additional refactoring is taking
place in subsequent patches.

Capsule data can be loaded into the system either via UpdateCapsule
runtime service or files on a file system (of boot device).
The latter case is called "capsules on disk", and actual updates will
take place at the next boot time.
In this commit, we will support capsule on disk mechanism.
Please note that U-Boot itself has no notion of "boot device" and
all the capsule files to be executed will be detected only if they
are located in a specific directory, \EFI\UpdateCapsule, on a device
that is identified as a boot device by "BootXXXX" variables.

This uclass is intended to provide a way to obtain information about a
U-Boot board. But the concept of a U-Boot 'board' is the whole system,
not just one circuit board, meaning that 'board' is something of a
misnomer for this uclass.
In addition, the name 'board' is a bit overused in U-Boot and we want to
use the same uclass to provide SMBIOS information.
The obvious name is 'system' but that is so vague as to be meaningless.
Use 'sysinfo' instead, since this uclass is aimed at providing information
on the system.
Rename everything accordingly.
Note: Due to the patch delta caused by the symbol renames, this patch
shows some renamed files as being deleted in one place and created in
another.

At present CONFIG_CHROMEOS is used to determine whether verified boot is
in use. The code to implement that is not in U-Boot mainline.
However, it is useful to be able to boot a Chromebook in developer mode
in U-Boot mainline without needing the verified boot code.
To allow this, use CONFIG_CHROMEOS_VBOOT to indicate that verified boot
should be used, and CONFIG_CHROMEOS to indicate that the board supports
Chrome OS. That allows us to define CONFIG_CHROMEOS on coral.

Without this flag, log filters can only explicitly accept messages.
Allowing denial makes it easier to filter certain subsystems. Unlike
allow-ing filters, deny-ing filters are added to the beginning of the
filter list. This should do the Right Thing most of the time, but it's
less-universal than allowing filters to be inserted anywhere. If this
becomes a problem, then perhaps log_filter_add* should take a filter number
to insert before/after.

If this option, CONFIG_EFI_SETUP_EARLY, is enabled, the initialisation
of UEFI subsystem will be done as part of U-Boot initialisation.
Please note that this option won't be enabled explicitly by users,

This function is essentially independent from tftp, and will also be
utilised in implementing UEFI capsule update in a later commit.
So just give it a more generic name.
In addition, a new configuration option, CONFIG_DFU_WRITE_ALT, was

The log command has led to NULL dereferences if an unknown category name
name was used due to missing entries in the list of category names.
Add compile time checks for the array sizes of log_cat_name and

Some drivers use macro pr_cont() for continuing a message sent via printk.
Hence if we want to convert printk messaging to using the logging system,
we must support continuation of log messages too.
As pr_cont() does not provide a message level we need a means of
remembering the last log level.
With the patch a pseudo log level LOGL_CONT as well as a pseudo log
category LOGC_CONT are introduced. Using these results in the application
of the same log level and category as in the previous log message.

The commit 9f45aeb937 ("spl: fit: implement fdt_record_loadable") which
introduced fdt_record_loadable() state there spl_fit.c is not 64bit safe.
Based on my tests on Xilinx ZynqMP zcu102 platform there shouldn't be a
problem to record these addresses in 64bit format.
The patch adds support for systems which need to load images above 4GB.

SPL is creating fit-images DT node when loadables are recorded in selected
configuration. Entries which are created are using entry-point and
load-addr property names. But there shouldn't be a need to use non standard
properties because entry/load are standard FIT properties. But using
standard FIT properties enables option to use generic FIT functions to
descrease SPL size. Here is result for ZynqMP virt configuration:

It doesn't need to consider start byte address.
If ramdisk size is 0x800000 and start address is 0x2700000, then it's
used until 0x02efffff, not 0x02f00000. But it's detected to overlapt RD
image, when kernel start address is 0x02f00000.
Because it's doing wrong calculation about rd_len.
This patch fixed wrong calculation address position when check
condition.
In addition, it needs to check one more condition about overlapping
entire area.

The sandbox is built with the SDL2 library with invokes the X11 library
which in turn calls getc(). But getc() in glibc is defined as
int getc(FILE *)
This does not match our definition.
int getc(void)
The sandbox crashes when called with parameter -l.
Rename our library symbol getc() to getchar().

This code is intended do prevent one from setting a shell variable abc
by doing
abc=123
if an environment variable named abc already exists. However, the
check is broken, since the env_get is done before the split on =, so
we look up whether an environment variable "abc=123" exists, which is
obviously never the case.
One could move the code to below the split on =, but instead, just
remove it, saving a little .text: The check has never worked as
intended (it goes all the way back to the initial git commit), and it
would anyway not guard against one first setting the shell variable,
then doing 'env set abc xyz'.

CONFIG_{SPL,TPL}_SIZE_LIMIT are defined as hex (SPL_SIZE_LIMIT was
converted in b51882d0 ("spl: Convert CONFIG_SPL_SIZE_LIMIT to hex"), but
there are still places that reference integer values. Change those to hex
as well. Also, update the Makefile to check for 0x0 instead of 0.
This also fixes the following build error when CONFIG_SPL_SIZE_LIMIT
is set by menuconfig to 0x0:

Some boards, specifically 64-bit Allwinner boards (sun50i), are
extremely limited on SPL size. One strategy that was used to make space
was to remove the FIT "os" property parsing code, because it uses a
rather large lookup table.
However, this forces the legacy FIT parsing code path, which requires
the "firmware" entry in the FIT to reference the U-Boot binary, even if
U-Boot is not the next binary in the boot sequence (for example, on
sun50i boards, ATF is run first).
This prevents the same FIT image from being used with a SPL with
CONFIG_SPL_FIT_IMAGE_TINY=n and CONFIG_SPL_ATF=y, because the boot
method selection code looks at `spl_image.os`, which is only set from
the "firmware" entry's "os" property.
To be able to use CONFIG_SPL_ATF=y, the "firmware" entry in the FIT
must be ATF, and U-Boot must be a loadable. For this to work, we need to
parse the "os" property just enough to tell U-Boot from other images, so
we can find it in the loadables list to append the FDT, and so we don't
try to append the FDT to ATF (which could clobber adjacent firmware).
So add the minimal code necessary to distinguish U-Boot/non-U-Boot
loadables with CONFIG_SPL_FIT_IMAGE_TINY=y. This adds about 300 bytes,
much less than the 7400 bytes added by CONFIG_SPL_FIT_IMAGE_TINY=n.

Currently FIT image must be signed by all required conf keys. This means
Verified Boot fails if there is a signature verification failure
using any required key in U-Boot DTB.
This patch introduces a new policy in DTB that can be set to any required
conf key. This means if verified boot passes with one of the required
keys, U-Boot will continue the OS hand off.

This driver interferes with other sandbox tests since it causes log output
to be interspersed with "No ethernet found." messages. Disable this driver
by default.

At present there is no way to disable a log driver. But the syslog driver
causes (attempted) network traffic in sandbox every time a log message
is printed, which is often.
Add a flag to enable a log driver. Adjust struct log_device to use a short
for next_filter_num so that no more memory is used for devices. Also fix
a missing line in the struct log_driver comment while here.
To maintain compatibility, enable it for all drivers for now.

At present if CONFIG_LOG enabled, putting LOG_DEBUG at the top of a file
(before log.h inclusion) causes _log() to be executed for every log()
call, regardless of the build- or run-time logging level.
However there is no guarantee that the log record will actually be
displayed. If the current log level is lower than LOGL_DEBUG then it will
not be.
Add a way to signal that the log record should always be displayed and
update log_passes_filters() to handle this.
With the new behaviour, log_debug() will always log if LOG_DEBUG is
enabled.
Move log_test_syslog_nodebug() into its own file since it cannot be made
to work where it is, with LOG_DEBUG defined.

Some blobs need a larger alignment than the default. For example, ACPI
tables often start at a 4KB boundary. Add support for this.
Update the size of the test blob to allow these larger records.

The intention which bloblists is that each blob's data is aligned in
memory. At present it is only the headers that are aligned.
Update the code to correct this and add a little more documentation.

It is helpful to be able to see basic statistics about the bloblist and
also to list its contents. Add a 'bloblist' command to handle this.
Put the display functions in the bloblist modules rather than in the
command code itself. That allows showing a list from SPL, where commands
are not available.
Also make bloblist_first/next_blob() static as they are not used outside
this file.

Kconfig option which isn't CONFIG_PREBOOT and is also a bool option which means
we regress because 'usb start' isn't run when expected, it should also be run

The patch does sed 's/SPL_FPGA_SUPPORT/SPL_FPGA/g' but also fixing Makefile
and zynqmp.c to simplify if/endif logic in zynqmp.c.
This change is mostly done to be able to use CONFIG_IS_ENABLED macro and
obj-$(CONFIG_$(SPL_)FPGA) in Makefile. For them symbols need to be in sync.
And removing one line from Topic Miami boards which is not needed because
symbol is not enabled via Kconfig.

When a message is written by a log driver (e.g. via the network stack) this
may result in the generation of further messages. We cannot allow these
additional messages to be emitted as this might result in an infinite
recursion.
Up to now only the syslog driver was safeguarded. We should safeguard all
log drivers instead.

In bootm_load_os() the OS image is decompressed. In later stages of the
boot process we need the decompressed size of the image.
Update images->os.image_len after decompression.
Passing the correct size is necessary if we want to check loaded EFI
binararies for file truncation by comparing the loaded size to the header
field SizeOfImage.

Kconfig provides several config options for setting up default variables
but these are unused when variables are passed to U-Boot via file.

The environment variable loadaddr is in the virtual address space of the
sandbox. To get the actual memory address where the FIT image has been
loaded we have to convert this address according to the memory mapping of
the sandbox.
Equally the addresses in the *.its file have to be converted when used in
the dfu_ram driver.

When board_get_usable_ram_top() limits gd->ram_top, env_get_bootm_size()
must not exceed that limit. Otherwise, boot_relocate_fdt() might put fdt
out of the allowed RAM range.
The similar commit 8ce1f10cf2 ("ARM: bootm: take into account
gd->ram_top") exposed this bug.
This fixes boot on Armada 8040 based Clearfog GT-8K where ram_top is set
to 0x80000000 (2GB), but bi_dram[0].size might be up to 0xc0000000
(3GB). Note the relocated fdt address (0xbfff4000) in the console output
listed below:

Since commit 86cf1c8285 ("configs: Migrate CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS") &
commit 999a772d9f ("Kconfig: Migrate CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS"),
CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS is always defined with a value (4 is default).
It makes no sense to still carry code that is guarded with
"#ifndef CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS" (and similar). This patch removes
all these unreferenced code paths.

AVB only uses CONFIG_FASTBOOT_BUF_ADDR from fastboot for memory.
This memory is used for assigning temporary buffers.
This can be assigned a new variable and used as CONFIG_AVB_BUF_ADDR.
This is to support future boards that support AVB but dont support
USB and therefore dont support FASTBOOT.

Add initial infrastructure for Xen para-virtualized block device.
This includes compile-time configuration and the skeleton for
the future driver implementation.
Add new class UCLASS_PVBLOCK which is going to be a parent for
virtual block devices.
Add new interface type IF_TYPE_PVBLOCK.
Implement basic driver setup by reading XenStore configuration.

There may be a chance that board specific fix_fdt() will change the
size of FDT blob so it's safe to call reserve_fdt() after fix_fdt()
otherwise global data (gd) will overwrite with FDT blob values.

On boards without console recording these function are currently missing.
It is more convenient for them to be present but to return dummy values.
That way if we know that a test needs recording, we can check if it is
available, and skip the test if not, while avoiding #ifdefs.
Update the header file according and adjust console_record_reset_enable()
to return an error if recording is not available.

blkcache_init manually relocates blkcache list pointers when
CONFIG_NEEDS_MANUAL_RELOC is enabled. However, it is called very late in
the boot sequence, which could be a problem if previous boot calls execute
blkcache operations with the non-relocated pointers. For example, mmc is
initialized earlier and might call blkcache_invalidate (in
mmc_select_hwpart()) when trying to load the environment from mmc via
env_load().
To fix this issue, move blkcache_init boot call earlier, before mmc gets
initialized.

Extend manual relocation of block_cache list pointers to all platforms that
enable CONFIG_NEEDS_MANUAL_RELOC. Remove m68k-specific checks and provide a
single implementation that adds gd->reloc_off to the pre-relocation
pointers.

Move all assignments to gd->bd->bi_mem{start,size} to generic code in
setup_bdinfo.
Xtensa architecture is special in this regard as it defines its own
handling of gd->bd->bi_mem{start,size} fields. In order to avoid defining
a weak SDRAM function, let arch_setup_bdinfo overwrite the generic flags.
For ARC architecture, remove ARCH_EARLY_INIT_R from Kconfig since it is
not needed anymore.
Also, use gd->ram_base to populate bi_memstart to avoid an ifdef.

Certain architectures (ppc, mips, sh, m68k) use setup board_part1 and
setup_board_part2 calls during pre-relocation init to populate gd->bd
boardinfo fields. This makes the generic init sequence cluttered with
arch-specific ifdefs.
In order to clean these arch-specific sequences from generic init,
introduce arch_setup_bdinfo weak initcall so that everyone can define their
own bdinfo setup routines.

This commit moves CONFIG_PREBOOT="usb start" to common/KConfig
for all boards also declaring USB_KEYBOARD.
Besides simplifying defconfig files, this also enables support for
board-specific CONFIG_PREBOOT for sunxi boards:
commit 37304aaf60 ("Convert CONFIG_USE_PREBOOT and CONFIG_PREBOOT to
Kconfig") intended to support CONFIG_PREBOOT, but
include/configs/sunxi-common.h hardcodes preboot as part of internally
defined CONSOLE_STDIN_SETTINGS, silently ignoring any board-specific
CONFIG_PREBOOT.

This patch is about bootm process, android boot image and device tree.
Android 10 updates the boot image header to version 2,
which includes a section to store the device tree blob (DTB) image.
include/android_image.h has updated the struct andr_img_hdr,
but not used in bootm process. This patch avoid reporting
"Device tree not found or missing FDT support"
when bootm a correctly constructed android boot image.

Platform code can call fdt_fixup_mtdparts() in order to hand U-Boot's
MTD partitions over to the Linux device tree.
Currently, fdt_fixup_mtdparts() calls mtdparts_init() in its entry.
If no target MTD device is found, an error message like follows is
displayed:
Device nand0 not found!
This occurs when the same code (e.g. arch/arm/mach-uniphier/fdt-fixup.c)
is shared among several boards, but not all of them support an MTD device.
Parse the DT first, then call mtdparts_init() only when the target MTD
node is found.
Yet, you still need to call mtdparts_init() before device_find().

The function fdt_find_regions look in the exclude list for each
property, even if the name is NULL. It could happen if the fit
image is corrupted. On sandbox, it generates a segfault.
To avoid this issue, if the name of a property is NULL, we report
an error and avoid looking in the exclude list.

Commit 40686c394e ("riscv: Clean up IPI initialization code")
caused U-Boot failed to boot on SiFive HiFive Unleashed board.
The codes inside arch_cpu_init_dm() may call U-Boot timer APIs
before the call to riscv_init_ipi(). At that time the timer register
base (e.g.: the SiFive CLINT device in this case) is unknown yet.
It might be the name riscv_init_ipi() that misleads people to only
consider it is related to IPI, but in fact the timer capability is
provided by the same SiFive CLINT device that provides the IPI.
Timer capability is needed for both UP and SMP.
Considering that the original refactor does have benefits, that it
makes the IPI code more similar to U-Boot initialization idioms.
It also removes some quite ugly macros. Let's do the minimal revert
instead of a complete revert, plus a fixes to arch_cpu_init_dm() to
consider the SPL case.

The function fdt_find_regions look in the exclude list for each
property, even if the name is NULL. It could happen if the fit
image is corrupted. On sandbox, it generates a segfault.
To avoid this issue, if the name of a property is NULL, we report
an error and avoid looking in the exclude list.

clearly says:
It's a **mistake** to use typedef for structures and pointers.
Besides, using typedef for structures is annoying when you try to make
headers self-contained.
Let's say you have the following function declaration in a header:
void foo(bd_t *bd);
This is not self-contained since bd_t is not defined.
To tell the compiler what 'bd_t' is, you need to include <asm/u-boot.h>

Then, the include direcective pulls in more bloat needlessly.
If you use 'struct bd_info' instead, it is enough to put a forward
declaration as follows:

- Despite other ext4 filesystem functions, ext4fs_mount returns
0 in case of error.
- This leads to u-boot crash in case that an SD card
with valid partition table but without ext4 filesystem created
in a partition is found on SD card.
- Fix this by returning a proper error code of '-1' from spl_load_image_ext
function in case of ext4fs_mount error.

In the video drivers it is useful to print errors while debugging but
doing so risks an infinite loop as the debugging info itself may go
through the video drivers.
Add a new console function that prints information only to the serial
device, thus making it safe for use in debugging.

This is defined only when __lp64__ is defined. That means that ulong is
64 bits long. Therefore we don't need to use a separate u64 type on those
architectures.
Fix up the code to take advantage of that, removing the preprocessor
conditions.
Also include the header file that defines MEM_SUPPORT_64BIT_DATA. It is
included by env.h in this file, but that might not last forever.

The offset at which the image to be loaded from NAND is located is
retrieved from the itb header. The presence of bad blocks in the area
of the NAND where the itb image is located could invalidate the offset
which must therefore be adjusted taking into account the state of the
sectors concerned.

While relocating FDT we reserve some memory for the new FDT and
set the size of the FDT with that respect. But FDT may be placed
at the end of the RAM leading to memory access beyond it.
Fix this by copying exact FDT size bytes, not the reserved size.

This patch restores CONFIG_VIDCONSOLE_AS_LCD as boolean
and introduce a separate sting as CONFIG_VIDCONSOLE_AS_NAME

The previous IPI code initialized the device whenever the first call was
made to a riscv_*_ipi function. This made it difficult to determine when
the IPI device was initialized. This patch introduces a new function
riscv_init_ipi. It is called once during arch_cpu_init_dm. In SPL, it is
called in spl_invoke_opensbi. Before this point, no riscv_*_ipi functions
should be called.

SPL and TPL. It is now possible to explicitly enable/disable the DM_SPI
support in SPL and TPL via Kconfig option.

still support non DM driver.
Another use case is the conversion of non DM/DTS SPI driver to support
DM/DTS. When such driver needs to work in both SPL and U-Boot proper, the
distinction is needed in Kconfig (also if SPL version of the driver
supports OF_PLATDATA).
In the end of the day one would have to support following use cases (in
single driver file - e.g. mxs_spi.c):
- U-Boot proper driver supporting DT/DTS
- U-Boot proper driver without DT/DTS support (deprecated)
- SPL driver without DT/DTS support
- SPL (and TPL) driver with DT/DTS (when the SoC has enough resources to
run full blown DT/DTS)
- SPL driver with DT/DTS and SPL_OF_PLATDATA (when one have constrained
environment with no fitImage and OF_LIBFDT support).
Some boards do require SPI support (with DM) in SPL (TPL) and some only
have DM_SPI{_FLASH} defined to allow compiling SPL.
This patch converts #ifdef CONFIG_DM_SPI* to #if CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(DM_SPI)
and provides corresponding defines in Kconfig.

There is no technical reason to add additional 4k space for FDT. This space
is completely unused and just increase memory requirements. This is
problematic on systems with limited memory resources as Xilinx Zynq
CSE/ZynqMP mini and Versal mini configurations.
The patch is removing additional 4k space.
EFI code is using copy_fdt() which copy FDT to different location.
And all boot commands in case of using U-Boot's FDT pointed by
$fdtcontroladdr are copying FDT to different locations by
image_setup_libfdt().
That's why in proper flow none should modified DTB used by U-Boot that's
why there is no need for additional space.

In a loading chain SPL -> ATF (->OP-TEE) -> U-Boot, ATF and a subsequent
OP-TEE will re-use the same fdt as the U-Boot target and may need the
information about usable memory ranges.
Especially OP-TEE needs this to initialize dynamic shared memory
(the only type U-Boot implements when talking to OP-TEE).
So allow spl_fixup_fdt() to take a fdt_blob argument, falling back to
the existing CONFIG_SYS_SPL_ARGS_ADDR if needed and call it from the
ATF path as well.

We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward
declarations which means that header files must include the full header to
access them.
Drop the typedef and rename the struct to remove the _s suffix which is
now not useful.
This requires quite a few header-file additions.

With CONFIG_DM_PCI enabled, PCI buses are not enumerated at boot, as they
are without that config option enabled. However, there are cases such as DM
PCI-based Ethernet devices that need the PCI bus enumerated so that they
can be discovered by their drivers.
Currently, to solve this, some boards enumerate the pci bus using
"pci enum" preboot command, while others do it manually in board files
(in board_init/board_late_init/etc. functions).
In order to possibly make the pci enumeration process uniform across all
boards, introduce CONFIG_PCI_INIT_R Kconfig option.
This change also preserves the current behavior in the !DM_PCI case
(pci_init is run unconditionally at boot).

A large number of boards call preloader_console_init unconditionally.
Currently, they fail to build with CONFIG_SPL_SERIAL=n, because the
function is undefined in that case. To fix the build, always define
preloader_console_init, but make it no-op when CONFIG_SPL_SERIAL=n.
For the few boards that did check for CONFIG_SPL_SERIAL before calling
preloader_console_init, remove the checks, since the function can now
be called unconditionally.

Currently displaying status line is done in a weak function
menu_display_statusline().
bootmenu.c overrides the weak default function.
It calls menu_default_choice() and interprets the data as
struct bootmenu_entry.
pxe boot also uses common menu code for pxe menus.
If there is a system that enables both bootmenu and pxe,
menu_display_statusline() defined in bootmenu.c will be called
and it will interpret struct pxe_label as struct bootmenu_entry.
This leads to data aborts and pxe menu corruptions.
This patch adds support for client defined statusline function
to resolve the above bug.

The CONFIG_SPL_FORCE_MMC_BOOT config flag is not needed as its behavior
is the correct one in all cases; using spl_boot_device() instead of the
boot_device parameter will lead to inconsistency issues, for example,
when a board_boot_order() is defined. In fact, this is the reason the
parameter was introduced in the first place, in commit 2b1cdafa9f
("common: Pass the boot device into spl_boot_mode()").

initr_enable_interrupts() is an ARM-specific wrapper over
enable_interrupts(), which is run during the common init sequence. It can
be eliminated by moving the enable_interrupts() call to the end of
interrupt_init() function, in arch/arm/lib/interrupts*.c.

Malloc gets initialized with a call to mem_malloc_init() with the address
the allocation starts to and its size. Currently it is not possible to
move the malloc from one memory area to another as the malloc would eventually
fail.
This patch adds in the ability to re-init the malloc with the updated
start address and the size.
One of the use cases of this feature is SPL U-Boot running from within
the static memory and calling to malloc init from within board_init_f():

Shortly after the DDR (main) memory is init and ready we call to malloc init
again but this time with the start address in the DDR memory and a much greater
size for moving the allocation off the static to the DDR memory:

Where CONFIG_SYS_SPL_MALLOC_START and CONFIG_SPL_MALLOC_OFFSET are the start
addresses of the malloc in the static and DDR memories respectively and
CONFIG_SYS_SPL_MALLOC_SIZE=SZ_16K and CONFIG_SPL_MALLOC_SIZE=SZ_2M are
the sizes of the mallocs in these memories. Note, now we have a much greater
memory, enlarging from 16K to 2M, available for allocation.
There is an alternative approach already existing in U-Boot with the use of
an early (simplified) malloc and the proper (dlamalloc) malloc however
necessitating managing the two mallocs whereas this approach proposes using
a single dlmalloc.

The signature check on config node is broken on fit with padding.
To compute the signature for config node, U-Boot compute the
signature on all properties of requested node for this config,
except for the property "data". But, when padding is used for
binary in a fit, there isn't a property "data" but two properties:
"data-offset" and "data-size". So to fix the check of signature,
we also don't use the properties "data-offset" and "data-size"
when checking the signature on config node.

fdt_region APIs are not part of libfdt. They are U-Boot extension
for the verified boot. Split the declarations related to fdt_region
out of <fdt_region.h>. This allows <linux/libfdt.h> to become a
simple wrapper file, like Linux does.

My goal is to sync lib/libfdt/ with scripts/dtc/libfdt/, that is,
make lib/libfdt/ contain only wrapper files.
fdt_region.c was written only for U-Boot to implement the verified
boot. So, this belongs to the same group as common/fdt_support.c,
which is a collection of U-Boot own fdt helpers.
Move lib/libfdt/fdt_region.c to common/fdt_region.c . This is
necessary only when CONFIG_(SPL_TPL_)_FIT_SIGNATURE is enabled.

With SBI v0.2 HSM extension, only a single hart need to boot and
enter operating system. The booting hart can bring up secondary
harts one by one afterwards.
For U-Boot running in SPL, SMP can be turned on, while in U-Boot
proper, SMP can be optionally turned off if using SBI v0.2 HSM.
Introduce a new SPL_SMP Kconfig option to support this.

The function's name is misleading as one might think it is used
generally to select the boot-mode when in reality it is only used by the
MMC driver to find out in what way it should try reading U-Boot Proper
from a device (either using a filesystem, a raw sector/partition, or an
eMMC boot partition).
Rename it to spl_mmc_boot_mode() to make it more obvious what this
function is about.

Add extended version of the bounce_buffer_start(), which permits passing in
a custom alignment checker function for the buffer. This is useful e.g. on
systems with various DMA restrictions and where the checker function might
be more complex than a simple CPU cache alignment check.

Currently, there is no method that can detect compression types
given a file. This is very useful where a compressed kernel image
is loaded directly to the memory.
Inspect initial few bytes to figure out compression type of the
image. It will be used in booti method for now but can be reused
any other function in future as well.

Add a function reserve_stack_aligned() to reserved memory with 16 bits
alignment after the stack pointer (gd->start_addr_sp) and use this new
function in board_f.c to reserve all the memory area (malloc, board, gd,
fdt, bootstage, stacks).
This 16 byte alignment is needed for cast on struct pointer
for the reserved memory, for example:

In reserve_bootstage(), in case size is odd, gd->new_bootstage
is not aligned. In bootstage_relocate(), the platform hangs when
getting access to data->record[i].name.
To avoid this issue, make gd->new_bootstage 16 byte aligned.
To ensure that new_bootstage is 16 byte aligned (at least needed for
x86_64 and ARMv8) and new_bootstage starts down to get enough space,
ALIGN_DOWN macro is used.

Provide a log driver that broadcasts RFC 3164 messages to syslog servers.
rsyslog is one implementation of such a server.
The messages are sent to the local broadcast address 255.255.255.255 on
port 514.
The environment variable log_hostname can be used to provide the HOSTNAME
field for the messages. The optional TIMESTAMP field of RFC 3164 is not
provided.

Rather than keeping the asynchronous schedule running always, keep it
running only across USB mass storage transfers for now, as it seems
that keeping it running all the time interferes with certain control
transfers during device enumeration.
Note that running the async schedule all the time should not be an
issue, especially on EHCI HCD, as that one implements most of the
transfers using async schedule.
Note that we have usb_disable_asynch(), which however is utterly broken.
The usb_disable_asynch() blocks the USB core from doing async transfers
by setting a global flag. The async schedule should however be disabled
per USB controller. Moreover, setting a global flag does not prevent the
controller from using the async schedule, which e.g. the EHCI HCD does.
This patch implements additional callback to the controller, which
permits it to lock the async schedule and keep it running across
multiple transfers. Once the schedule is unlocked, it must also be
disabled. This thus prevents the async schedule from running outside
of the USB mass storage transfers.

Enable pre console buffer for rk3399 platform.
This would help to capture the console messages prior to
the console being initialised. Enabling this would help
to capture all the console messages on video output source
like HDMI. So we can find the full console messages of
U-Boot proper on HDMI display when enabled it for RK3399
platform boards.
Buffer address used for pre console is 0x0f200000 which is
ram base plus 240MiB. right now the Allwinner SoC is using
similar computation.

At present bootm_host_load_images() is passed the configuration that has
been verified, but ignores it and just uses the default configuration.
This may not be the same.
Update this function to use the selected configuration.

It is currently possible to use a different configuration's signature and
thus bypass the configuration check. Make sure that the configuration node
that was hashed matches the one being checked, to catch this problem.
Also add a proper function comment to fit_config_check_sig() and make it
static.

The default SPL / TPL linker script is in the $(ARCH) directory. The
way we use this today works but isn't ideal. With an update to Kconfig
to re-sync with the Linux Kernel, we need to escape the '$' here so that
it will end up being evaluated by make.

The call to spl_mmc_get_uboot_raw_sector() completely ignores and
overwrites the raw_sect value passed from the caller of spl_mmc_load().

At present dm/device.h includes the linux-compatible features. This
requires including linux/compat.h which in turn includes a lot of headers.
One of these is malloc.h which we thus end up including in every file in
U-Boot. Apart from the inefficiency of this, it is problematic for sandbox
which needs to use the system malloc() in some files.
Move the compatibility features into a separate header file.

boot_fdt_add_mem_rsv_regions() scans the subnodes of
"/reserved-memory" and adds them to reserved lmb regions.
Currently this scanning does not take into "status" property.
Even if the subnode is disabled, it gets added to the
reserved lmb regions.
This patch checks the "status" property before adding it
to reserved lmb regions.

When recording the console output for testing it is useful to be able to
read the output a line at a time to check that the output is correct. Also
we need to check that we get to the end of the output.
Add a console function to return the next line and another to see how must
data is left.

A common check is to see if a blob is present, create it if not and make
sure that the size is large enough. Add a function to handle this.

Android Boot Image v1 adds "Recovery DTB" field in image header and
associate payload in boot image itself [1]. Payload should be in
Android DTB/DTBO format [2]. That "Recovery DTB" area should be only
populated for non-A/B devices, and only in recovery image.
Add function to get an address and size of that payload. That function
can be further used e.g. in 'abootimg' command to provide the user a way
to get the address of recovery dtbo from U-Boot shell, which can be
further parsed using 'adtimg' command.

Android Boot Image v2 adds "DTB" payload (and corresponding field in the
image header). Provide functions for its handling:
- android_image_get_dtb_by_index(): Obtain DTB blob from "DTB" part of
boot image, by blob's index
- android_image_print_dtb_contents(): Iterate over all DTB blobs in
"DTB" part of boot image and print those blobs info
"DTB" payload might be in one of the following formats:
1. concatenated DTB blobs
2. Android DTBO format
The latter requires "android-image-dt.c" functionality, so this commit
selects that file for building for CONFIG_ANDROID_BOOT_IMAGE option.
Right now this new functionality isn't used, but it can be used further.
As it's required to apply some specific dtbo blob(s) from "dtbo"
partition, we can't automate this process inside of "bootm" command. But
we can do next:
- come up with some new command like "abootimg" to extract dtb blob
from boot image (using functions from this patch)
- extract desired dtbo blobs from "dtbo" partition using "adtimg"
command
- merge dtbo blobs into dtb blob using "fdt apply" command
- pass resulting dtb blob into bootm command in order to boot the
Android kernel with Android ramdisk from boot image

On m68k, block_cache list is relocated, but next and prev list
pointers are not adjusted to the relocated struct list_head address,
so the first iteration over the block_cache list hangs.
This patch initializes the block_cache list after relocation.

For Allwinner SoCs the CONFIG_SYS_SPI_U_BOOT_OFFS value is not really a
board choice: The boot ROM only loads the SPL from offset 0 of the SPI
NOR flash, and loads at most 32KB. This is a similar situation as on MMC,
so consequently we create our "joint" image (SPL + U-Boot proper) with
that 32KB offset during the build.
So define the value of this symbol to be 32KB by default for every
Allwinner SoC. This removes the definition of this symbol from the
_defconfig files, and avoids every board to define this over and over
again.

Allow reading compressed content from fit image, even if
CONFIG_SPL_OS_BOOT is not set.
This allow booting compressed 2nd stage u-boot from fit image.
Additionally, do not print warning message if compression node is not
found, since it simply implies the content is uncompressed.

This commit add to u-boot the support to decrypt
fit image encrypted with aes. The FIT image contains
the key name and the IV name. Then u-boot look for
the key and IV in his device tree and decrypt images
before moving to the next stage.

This commit add the support of encrypting image with aes
in mkimage. To enable the ciphering, a node cipher with
a reference to a key and IV (Initialization Vector) must
be added to the its file. Then mkimage add the encrypted
image to the FIT and add the key and IV to the u-boot
device tree.

- Misc updates to MMC handling in SPL to support booting from
main data partition (vs hardware boot partition) on MVEBU (Baruch)
On Armada 38x platforms the ROM code loads SPL from offset 0 of eMMC
hardware boot partitions. When there are no boot partitions (i.e. SD
card) the ROM skips the first sector that usually contains the (logical)
partition table. Since the generated .kwb image contains the main U-Boot
image in a fixed location (0x140 sectors by default), we end up with the
main U-Boot image in offset of 1 sector. The current workaround is to
manually set CONFIG_SYS_MMCSD_RAW_MODE_U_BOOT_SECTOR to 0x141 to
compensate for that.
This patch uses the run-time detected boot partition to determine the
right offset of the main U-Boot partition. The generated .kwb image is
now compatible with both eMMC boot partition, and SD card main data
partition.

At the moment entry_point is set to image_get_load(header) that sets it
to "load address" instead of "entry point", assuming entry_point is
equal to load_addr, but it's not true. Then load_addr is set to
"entry_point - header_size", but this is wrong too since load_addr is
not an entry point.
So use image_get_ep() for entry_point assignment and image_get_load()
for load_addr assignment.

Xilinx ZynqMP platform is passing information to ATF in private format and
ATF bl31 parameters are not used. That's why enable option to rewrite this

Rename the existing 'dtimg' command to 'adtimg', in order to:
- Suggest the Android origins and scope
- Be consistent with the upcoming 'abootimg' command (naming
suggested by Simon [*])
The change in _not_ backward compatible, but its benefits outweigh its
downsides, given that we don't expect active users of 'dtimg' today.
Perform the rename in several steps:
1. Rename *.c file and Kconfig symbol. This should allow
'git log --follow' to properly track the history of 'adtimg.c'
2. 's/dtimg/adtimg/g' in the internal namespace of 'adtimg.c'

spl_fit_get_image_name() is used to get the names of the images that the
SPL must load from the FIT. It relies on the content of a property present
in the FIT. The list of images is thus statically defined in the FIT.
With this scheme, it quickly becomes hard to manage combinations of more
than a handful of images.
To address this problem, give the board driver code the opportunity to
add to the list of images. The images from the FIT property are loaded
first, and then the board_get_fit_loadable() is called to get more image
names.

There are many ways the overlay application can fail.
2 of them are probably the most common:
- the application itself failed. Usually this is comes from an unresolved
reference
- DTBO not available in FIT (could be because of a typo)
In both case it is good to be more explicit about the error and at least
show which overlay is failing.

If the node describing an overlay does not specify a load address, it will
be loaded at the address previously used.
Fixing it by allocating a temporary buffer that will be used as a
default load address. By default, the size of the buffer is 64kB which
should be plenty for most use cases.

Make room in the FDT before applying the overlay, otherwise it may fail if
the overlay is big. As the exact added size is not known in advance, just
add the size of the overlay.
Move after the end of the application of the overlays, the resize of the
FDT for the injection of the details on the loadables.

image with DT overlays in it.
Add support for this feature to SPL.
Here is the ZynqMP fragment where dtb points to full DT and dtbo is
overlay which should be applied on the top of dtb.

When u-boot.img is a FIT image generated automatically by mkimage, the
configuration node has the following structure:

The firmware is referenced twice. Once by the 'firmware' property and
once by the 'loadables' property. Currently this result in the firmware
being loaded twice. This is not a big problem but has an impact on the
boot time.
Fixing it by not loading a loadable image if it is also the firmware image.

When the `dfu` command is called from the U-Boot environment,
it now accepts an optional parameter that specifies a timeout (in seconds).
If a DFU connection is not made within that time the `dfu` command exits
(as it would if Ctrl+C was pressed). If the timeout is left empty or being
zero the `dfu` command behaves as it does now.
This is useful for allowing U-Boot to check to see if anything wants to
upload new firmware before continuing to boot.

In commit <db4080d56dec>, SPL_FSL_PBL is removed from the configs of
some LayerScape platforms. Actually, SPL_FSL_PBL is needed for SD/NAND
boot on LS1021A/LS1043A/LS1046A to create boot binary having SPL binary
in PBI format concatenated with u-boot binary. SPL_FRAMEWORK is used on
these platforms too.

Binman supports writing the position and size of U-Boot proper and SPL
into the previous phase of U-Boot. This allows the next phase to be easily
located and loaded.
Add functions to return these useful values, along with symbols to allow

At present the early timer init happens as soon as driver model is set up.
This makes it impossible to do anything that needs driver model but must
run before devices are probed (as needed with Intel's FSP-S, for example).
In any case it is not a good idea to tie probing of particular drivers too
closely to the DM init.
Create a new function to init the timer and put it a bit later in the
sequence.

SPL and TPL can access information about binman entries using link-time
symbols but this is not available in U-Boot proper. Of course it could be
made available, but the intention is to just read the device tree.
Add support for this, so that U-Boot can locate entries.

At the start, OpenSBI relocates itself to its link address. If the link
address ranges of U-Boot SPL and OpenSBI overlap, the relocation can
lead to code corruption if a hart is still running U-Boot SPL during
relocation. To avoid this problem, the main hart is specified as the
preferred boot hart to perform the relocation. This fixes the code
corruption problems based on the assumption that since the main hart
schedules the secondary harts to enter OpenSBI, it will be the last to
enter OpenSBI. However it was reported that this assumption is not
always correct.
To make sure the assumption always holds true, wait for all secondary
harts to acknowledge the call-function request before entering OpenSBI
on the main hart.

Add a wait option to smp_call_function() to wait for the secondary harts
to acknowledge the call-function request. The request is considered to
be acknowledged once each secondary hart has cleared the corresponding
IPI.
As part of the call-function request, the secondary harts invalidate the
instruction cache after clearing the IPI. This adds a delay between
acknowledgment (clear IPI) and fulfillment (call function) of the
request. We want to use the acknowledgment to be able to judge when the
request has been completed. Remove the delay by clearing the IPI after
cache invalidation and just before calling the function from the
request.
