da1ae5905e sunxi: board: Add i2c initialization for sun50i
To use TWI0/1/2 the user can select CONFIG_I2C#_ENABLE.
However even the controller is enabled, the mux for the pins
are not set.

This patch follows the existing mux method. Since the pads are
different, separate check is added for each i2c.

Tested with A64-SOM204 board.

44c214dc27 Revert "sunxi: board: Print error after power initialization fails"
Commit a8011eb84dfa("sunxi: board: Print error after power initialization
fails") moved the DRAM init after the increase of the CPU clock
frequency. This lead to various DRAM initialisation failures on some
boards (hangs or wrong size reported, on a NanoPi Duo2 and OrangePi
Zero, for instance). Lowering the CPU frequency significantly (for instance
to 408 MHz) seems to work around the problem, so this points to some timing
issues in the DRAM code.

Debugging this sounds like a larger job, so let's just revert this patch
to bring back those boards.
Beside this probably unintended change the patch just moved the error
message around, so reverting this is not a real loss.

This reverts commit a8011eb84d.

a740ee913e lib: merge CRC16-CCITT into u-boot/crc.h
This merges the CRC16-CCITT headers into u-boot/crc.h to prepare for
rolling CRC16 into the hash infrastructure. Given that CRC8, CRC32

seems a good idea to also include CRC16-CCITT in the same.

a8011eb84d sunxi: board: Print error after power initialization fails
Currently during init, we enable all power, then enable the dram and
after that check whether there was an error during power-up.

This makes little sense, we should enable power and then check if power
was brought up properly before we continue to initialize other things.

This patch moves the DRAM init after the power failure check.

5776610e9e sunxi: store DRAM size in SPL header
At the moment we rely on the infamous get_ram_size() function to learn
the actual DRAM size in U-Boot proper. This function has two issues:
1) It only works if the DRAM size is a power of two. We start to see
boards which have 3GB of (usable) DRAM, so this does not fit anymore.
2) As U-Boot has no notion of reserved memory so far, it will happily
ride through the DRAM, possibly stepping on secure-only memory. This
could be a region of DRAM reserved for OP-TEE or some other secure
payload, for instance. It will most likely crash in that case.

As the SPL DRAM init routine has very accurate knowledge of the actual
DRAM size, lets propagate this wisdom to U-Boot proper.
We re-purpose a currently reserved word in our SPL header for that.
The SPL itself stores the detected DRAM size there, and bumps the SPL
header version number in that case. U-Boot proper checks for a valid
SPL header and a high enough version number, then uses the DRAM size
from there. If the SPL header field is not sufficient, we fall back to
the old DRAM scanning routine.

Part of the DRAM might be present and probed by SPL, but not accessible
by the CPU. They're restricted in the main U-Boot binary, when accessing
the DRAM size from SPL header.

55d481d201 sunxi: Extend SPL header versioning
On Allwinner SoCs we use some free bytes at the beginning of the SPL image
to store various information. We have a version byte to allow updates,
but changing this always requires all tools to be updated as well.

Introduce the concept of semantic versioning [1] to the SPL header:
The major part of the version number only changes on incompatible
updates, a minor number bump indicates backward compatibility.
This patch just documents the major/minor split, adds some comments
to the header file and uses the versioning information for the existing
users.

c6c2c85e4b sunxi: disable Pine A64 model detection code on other boards
The Pine A64 Plus/non-Plus model detection code is now built on all

Disable them when the board is Pine A64 by adding a Kconfig option that

On GCC 7.3.1 this makes the size of the function reduces 184 bytes, and
saves a 104 byte strstr() function, then makes SPL on H6 succeed to

83d290c56f SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel style
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.

In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.

This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

b39117cad9 sunxi: Transition from the MMC to a FAT-based environment
The current environment has been hardcoded to an offset that starts to be
an issue given the current size of our main U-Boot binary.

By implementing a custom environment location routine, we can always favor
the FAT-based environment, and fallback to the MMC if we don't find
something in the FAT partition. We also implement the same order when
saving the environment, so that hopefully we can slowly migrate the users
over to FAT-based environment and away from the raw MMC one.

Eventually, and hopefully before we reach that limit again, we will have
most of our users using that setup, and we'll be able to retire the raw
environment, and gain more room for the U-Boot binary.

de86fc3859 sunxi: Remove the MMC index hack
The current code, if there's both an eMMC and an MMC slot available on the
board, will swap the MMC indices based on whether we booted from the eMMC
or the MMC. This way, the MMC we're supposed to boot on will always have
the index 0.

However, this causes various issues, for example when using other
components that base their behaviour on the MMC index, such as fastboot.

Let's remove that hack, and take the opposite approach. The MMC will always
have the same index, but the bootcmd will pick the same device than the one
we booted from. This is done through the introduction of the mmc_bootdev
environment variable that will be filled by the board code based on the
boot device informations we can get from the SoC.

In order to not introduce regressions, we also need to adjust the fastboot
MMC device and the environment device in order to set it to the eMMC, over
the MMC, like it used to be the case.

3f8ea3b06e sunxi: On newer SoCs use words 1-3 instead of just word 3 from the SID
It seems that bytes 13-14 of the SID / bytes 1-2 from word 3 of the SID
are always 0 on H3 making it a poor candidate to use as source for the
serialnr / mac-address, and the other non constant words (1 and 2) also
have quite a few bits which are the same for some boards,

This commits switches to using the crc32 of words 1 - 3 to get a
more unique value for the mac-address / serialnr.

320e0570e6 sunxi: FEL - Add the ability to recognize and auto-import uEnv-style data
The patch converts one of the "reserved" fields in the sunxi SPL
header to a fel_uEnv_length entry. When booting over USB ("FEL
mode"), this enables the sunxi-fel utility to pass the string
length of uEnv.txt compatible data; at the same time requesting
that this data be imported into the U-Boot environment.

If parse_spl_header() in the sunxi board.c encounters a non-zero
value in this header field, it will therefore call himport_r() to
merge the string (lines) passed via FEL into the default settings.
Environment vars can be changed this way even before U-Boot will
attempt to autoboot - specifically, this also allows overriding
"bootcmd".

With fel_script_addr set and a zero fel_uEnv_length, U-Boot is
safe to assume that data in .scr format (a mkimage-type script)
was passed at fel_script_addr, and will handle it using the
existing mechanism ("bootcmd_fel").

There are 2 reasons for doing this:

1) The main reason for doing this is to move it outside of
board/sunxi/ahci.c, so that it can be used on boards which use
   a usb<->sata chip too;
2) While doing this I realized that doing it from board_init also meant
doing it much earlier. Some printf get_timer(0) calls show that the
time between board_init() and scsi_init() is more then 600 ms,
so we can drop the mdelay(500)

af654d1461 sunxi: retrieve FEL-provided values to environment variables
This patch extends the misc_init_r() function on sunxi boards
to test for the presence of a suitable "sunxi" SPL header. If
found, and the loader ("fel" utility) provided a non-zero value
for the boot.scr address, then the corresponding environment
variable fel_scriptaddr gets set.

misc_init_r() also sets (or clears) the "fel_booted" variable depending
on the active boot device, using the same logic as spl_boot_device().

The goal is to provide sufficient information (within the U-Boot
environment) to make intelligent decisions on how to continue the boot

The 2/3 usb-phys on the sunxi SoCs are really a single separate functional
block, and are modelled as such in devicetree. So once we've moved all the
sunxi usb code to the driver-model then phy_probe will be called once
for the entire block from the driver-model enumeration code.

Move to this now as this also avoids problems with phy_probe being called
multiple times once we introduce ohci support. This also allows us to get rid
of the sunxi_usb_phy_enabled_count variable as phy_probe now is guaranteed
to be called only once.

Since we're effectively rewriting the probe / remove functions, move them

Rename the sunxi_usbc_foo functions to sunxi_usb_phy_bar to make it clear
that these are usb-phy functions. Also change the verbs & nouns in the suffix
to match the verbs & nouns used in the Linux kernels generic phy framework.

This patch purely renames things, it contains no functional changes.

2fcf033d36 sunxi: axp: Move axp gpio code to a separate axpi-gpio driver
Move the axp-gpio code out of the drivers/power/axp*.c code, and into
a new separate axpi-gpio driver.

This change drops supports for the gpio3 pin on the axp209, as that requires
special handling, and no boards are using it.

Besides cleaning things up by moving the code to a separate driver, as
a bonus this change also adds support for the (non vusb) gpio pins on the
axp221 and the gpio pins on the axp152.

The new axp-gpio driver gets its own Kconfig option, and is only enabled
on boards which need it. Besides that it only gets enabled in the regular
u-boot build and not for the SPL as we never need it in the SPL.

4f7e01c961 sunxi: soft-i2c: Fix gpio handling to work with the driver-model
i2c_init_board() gets called before the driver-model (gpio) code is
initialized, so move the setup of the soft-i2c pins out of i2c_init_board()
and into board_init(), at which time the driver-model setup has been done.

Also add proper error checking and properly request the gpios as that is
mandatory with the driver-model.

Sunxi platforms have different possible mmc pin mux setups (except for mmc0),

This lets users configure which is used through the CONFIG_MMC*_PINS Kconfig

is used and CONFIG_MMC_SUNXI_SLOT_EXTRA is enabled.

6906df1ab8 sunxi: axp221: Add ELDO[1-3] support
And also add Kconfig option for selecting ELDO3 voltage. The reason
for having this option is that the Android kernel sets ELDO3 to
1.2V when powering up LCD in the case if 'lcd_if' configuration
variable is set to 6 (LCD_IF_EXT_DSI) in the FEX file. Most likely
to supply power for a SSD2828 chip.

However on the MSI Primo81 tablet, which is using this particular
'lcd_if = 6' setup for LCD, setting the ELDO3 voltage appears to
be unnecessary and it works regardless. Having no schematics of
this tablet, I can only guess that 1.2V is supplied to SSD2828
in some other way.
