5ccfdd8a83 usb: dwc3: Use generic_phy_valid() helper
The documentation for struct phy state that "The content of the
structure is managed solely by the PHY API and PHY drivers".

Change to use the generic_phy_valid() helper to check if phy is valid.
Also remove setting phy->dev to NULL now that generic_phy_get_by_name()
properly initialize phy->dev to NULL.

5b43bc97ee usb: check for companion controller in uclass
EHCI is usually used with companion controller (like OHCI) as companion
controller. This information on the companion is missing currently in
companion drivers.
So, if the usb-uclass isn't aware, it may scan busses in any order: OHCI
first, then EHCI.
This is seen on STM32MP1 where DT probing makes the probe order to occur
by increasing address (OHCI address < EHCI address).

When a low speed or full-speed device is plugged in, it's not detected as
EHCI should first detect it, and give ownership (handover) to OHCI.

Current situation on STM32MP1 (with a low speed device plugged-in)
STM32MP> usb start
starting USB...
Bus usb@5800c000: USB OHCI 1.0
Bus usb@5800d000: USB EHCI 1.00
scanning bus usb@5800c000 for devices... 1 USB Device(s) found
scanning bus usb@5800d000 for devices... 1 USB Device(s) found
   scanning usb for storage devices... 0 Storage Device(s) found

The "companion" property in the device tree allow to retrieve companion
controller information, from the EHCI node. This allow marking the
companion driver as such.

With this patch (same low speed device plugged in):
STM32MP> usb start
starting USB...
Bus usb@5800c000: USB OHCI 1.0
Bus usb@5800d000: USB EHCI 1.00
scanning bus usb@5800d000 for devices... 1 USB Device(s) found
scanning bus usb@5800c000 for devices... 2 USB Device(s) found
   scanning usb for storage devices... 0 Storage Device(s) found
STM32MP> usb tree

+-2  Human Interface (1.5 Mb/s, 100mA)
   HP HP USB 1000dpi Laser Mouse

1  Hub (480 Mb/s, 0mA)
 u-boot EHCI Host Controller

This also optimize bus scan when a High speed device is plugged in, as
the usb-uclass skips OHCI in this case:

STM32MP> usb reset

718f1d414e usb: gadget: ether: Handle gadget driver registration in probe and remove
Move the ethernet gadget driver registration and removal from ethernet
bind and unbind callbacks into driver DM probe and remove callbacks.
This way, when the driver is bound, which is triggered deliberately
using 'bind' command, the USB ethernet gadget driver is instantiated
and bound to the matching UDC. In reverse, when the driver is unbound,
which is again triggered deliberately using 'unbind' command, the USB
ethernet gadget driver instance is removed.

Effectively, this now behaves like running either 'ums' or 'dfu' or
any other commands utilizing USB gadget functionality.

This also drops use of usb_gadget_release() and moves the use of
usb_gadget_initialize() into usb_ether_init() used only by legacy
platforms that do not use 'bind' command properly yet. Those have
no place in drivers.

fcd9220d66 sunxi: Kconfig: rework PHY_USB_SUN4I selection
At the moment we use "select" in each Allwinner SoC's Kconfig section to
include the USB PHY driver in the build. This means it cannot be disabled
via Kconfig, although USB is not really a strictly required core
functionality, and a particular board might not even include USB ports.

Rework the Kconfig part by removing the "select" lines for each SoC's
section, and instead letting it default to "y" in the PHY driver section
itself. We use "depends on !" to exclude the few SoCs we don't support
(yet). The Allwinner V3s does not enable USB (PHY) support at the moment,
even though it should work: let the PHY default to "n" to keep the
current behaviour.

Also the MUSB USB driver directly calls some functions from the PHY
driver, so let the former depend on the PHY driver.

In order to allow external SoC-dependent glue drivers to use dwc3-generic

- struct dwc3_glue_data
- struct dwc3_glue_ops

f7b7c72133 usb: dwc3-generic: Allow different controller DT node pattern
The most of devicetree has the following USB node structure.
The controller node is placed as a child node of the glue node.
Current dwc3-generic driver works on this premise.

    glue {
        /* glue node */
	usb {
            /* controller node */
	};
    };

However, UniPhier original devicetree has the following USB node structure.
The controller node is separately placed from the glue node.

    usb {
        /* controller node */
    };
    glue {
        /* glue node */
    };

In dwc_glue_bind(), this patch provides .glue_get_ctrl_dev() callback to
get such a controller node and binds the driver related to the node.

If this callback isn't defined, dwc_glue_bind() looks for the controller
nodes from the child nodes, as before.

arch/mach-meson has some custom usb logic, in particular:
* on board_usb_init(), we force USB_DR_MODE_PERIPHERAL
* on board_usb_cleanup(), we force USB_DR_MODE_HOST

With DM_USB_GADGET=y, board_usb_init/cleanup() are no
longer used when we call usb_gadget_initialize().
Instead, the generic (from udc-uclass) initialization/release is
called, which itself calls the controller driver's probe()/remove().

Therefore, enabling DM_USB_GADGET=y will mean that this mode
switching will break.

To prepare for enabling DM_USB_GADGET, perform the mode switching
when the "amlogic,meson-g12a-usb" (dwc2) driver is
probed()/removed() instead.

This is achieved via the glue driver, which gets notified each time one
of its children is probed()/removed.

Note: this change should be harmless without DM_USB_GADGET=y
because the amlogic-g12a-usb driver is not probed via driver model.

ba1fa2abde usb: onboard-hub: add driver to manage onboard hub supplies
The main issue the driver addresses is that a USB hub needs to be
powered before it can be discovered. This is often solved by using
"regulator-always-on".

This driver is inspired by the Linux v6.1 driver. It only enables (or
disables) the hub vdd (3v3) supply, so it can be enumerated.
Scanning of the device tree is done in a similar manner to the sandbox,
by the usb-uclass. DT part looks like:

&usbh_ehci {
	...
	#address-cells = <1>;
	#size-cells = <0>;
	hub@1 {
		compatible = "usb424,2514";
		reg = <1>;
		vdd-supply = <&v3v3>;
	};
};

When the bus gets probed, the driver is automatically probed/removed from
the bus tree, as an example on stm32:
STM32MP> usb start
starting USB...
STM32MP> dm tree
 Class     Index  Probed  Driver                Name
-----------------------------------------------------------
 usb           0  [ + ]   ehci_generic          |   |-- usb@5800d000
 usb_hub       0  [ + ]   usb_onboard_hub       |   |   `-- hub@1
 usb_hub       1  [ + ]   usb_hub               |   |       `-- usb_hub

STM32MP> usb tree

bcc85b96b5 cmd: source: Support specifying config name
As discussed previously [1,2], the source command is not safe to use with
verified boot unless there is a key with required = "images" (which has its
own problems). This is because if such a key is absent, signatures are
verified but not required. It is assumed that configuration nodes will
provide the signature. Because the source command does not use
configurations to determine the image to source, effectively no
verification takes place.

To address this, allow specifying configuration nodes. We use the same
syntax as the bootm command (helpfully provided for us by fit_parse_conf).
By default, we first try the default config and then the default image. To
force using a config, # must be present in the command (e.g. `source
$loadaddr#my-conf`). For convenience, the config may be omitted, just like
the address may be (e.g. `source \#`). This also works for images
(`source :` behaves exactly like `source` currently does).
