1de76a4535 arm64: a37xx: pinctrl: probe after binding
Currently, pinctrl drivers are getting probed during post-bind, however
that is being reverted, and on A37XX pinctrl driver is the one that
registers the GPIO driver during the probe.

So, if the pinctrl driver doesn't get probed GPIO-s won't get registered
and thus they cannot be used.

This is a problem on the Methode eDPU as it just uses SB pins as GPIO-s
and without them being registered networking won't work as it only has
one SFP slot and the TX disable GPIO is on the SB controller.

So, lets just add a flag only to A37XX driver to probe after binding
in order for the GPIO driver to always get registered.

In more cases group name consist of function name followed by function

ef6fcab85f mvebu: pinctrl: apply SDHCI PHY config for A7K
Current pin control driver applies SDHCI PHY MUX selection

However, for CP side eMMC, only the "armada-8k-cpm-pinctrl"

5534fb4f48 arm64: a37xx: pinctrl: Correct PWM pins definitions
The PWM pins on North Bridge on Armada 37xx can be configured into PWM
or GPIO functions. When in PWM function, each pin can also be configured
to drive low on 0 and tri-state on 1 (LED mode).

The current definitions handle this by declaring two pin groups for each
pin:
- group "pwmN" with functions "pwm" and "gpio"
- group "ledN_od" ("od" for open drain) with functions "led" and "gpio"

This is semantically incorrect. The correct definition for each pin
should be one group with three functions: "pwm", "led" and "gpio".

Change the "pwmN" groups to support "led" function.

Remove "ledN_od" groups. This cannot break backwards compatibility with
older device trees: no device tree uses it since there is no PWM driver
for this SOC yet. Also "ledN_od" groups are not even documented.

Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed. In
a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding

This construct is quite long-winded. In earlier days it made some sense

8613c8d897 treewide: convert (void *)devfdt_get_addr() to dev_read_addr_ptr()
Use the _ptr suffixed variant instead of casting. Also, convert it to
dev_read_addr_ptr(), which is safe to CONFIG_OF_LIVE.

One curious part is an error check like follows in
drivers/watchdog/omap_wdt.c:

    priv->regs = (struct wd_timer *)devfdt_get_addr(dev);
    if (!priv->regs)
            return -EINVAL;

devfdt_get_addr() returns FDT_ADDR_T_NONE (i.e. -1) on error.
So, this code does not catch any error in DT parsing.

dev_read_addr_ptr() returns NULL on error, so this error check
will work.

83d290c56f SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel style
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.

In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.

This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

This macro causes name conflict with the following line in

the existing functions to avoid confusion.

In the end we will have:

   1. dev_read_addr...()    - works on devices, supports flat/live tree
   2. devfdt_get_addr...() - current functions, flat tree only
   3. of_get_address() etc. - new functions, live tree only

All drivers will be written to use 1. That function will in turn call
either 2 or 3 depending on whether the flat or live tree is in use.

Note this involves changing some dead code - the imx_lpi2c.c file.

8dd082a7e6 pinctrl: mvebu: Enable support for the Armada 37xx pinctrl driver
To enable support for the Armada 37xx pinctrl driver, we need to
change the Kconfig symbol for the Armada 7k/8k pinctrl driver and its
dependencies to distinguish between both platforms and drivers.

d2d92bd71c pinctrl: armada-37xx: Add gpio support
GPIO management is pretty simple and is part of the same IP than the pin
controller for the Armada 37xx SoCs. This patch adds the GPIO support to
the pinctrl-armada-37xx.c file, it also allows sharing common functions
between the gpio and the pinctrl drivers.

0871806629 pinctrl: armada-37xx: Add pin controller support for Armada 37xx
The Armada 37xx SoC come with 2 pin controllers: one on the south
bridge (managing 28 pins) and one on the north bridge (managing 36 pins).

At the hardware level the controller configure the pins by group and not
pin by pin. This constraint is reflected in the design of the driver:
only the group related functions are implemented.

e160f7d430 dm: core: Replace of_offset with accessor
At present devices use a simple integer offset to record the device tree
node associated with the device. In preparation for supporting a live
device tree, which uses a node pointer instead, refactor existing code to
access this field through an inline function.

656e6cc86b arm64: mvebu: pinctrl: Add pin control driver for A8K family
Add a DM port of Marvell pin control driver.
The A8K SoC family contains several silicone dies interconnected
in a single package. Every die is normally equipped with its own
pin controller unit.
There are 2 pin controllers in A70x0 SoC and 3 in A80x0 SoC.
