540b73a7be arch/Kconfig.nxp: Re-organize slightly
Make all of the CHAIN_OF_TRUST options be under a single menu and add a
comment for the rest, so the resulting config file reads more clearly.
Remove duplicate CHAIN_OF_TRUST options from
board/congatec/common/Kconfig.  Remove duplicate NXP_ESBC config
questions and move to arch/Kconfig.nxp.

881284b36a arm: layerscape: Disable erratum A009007 on LS1021A, LS1043A, and LS1046A
This erratum is reported to cause problems on these processors [1-3].
The problem is usually with the clocking, which is supposed to be
configured by the RCW [4]. However, if it is not set, or if the default
clocking is not correct, then this erratum will cause an SError.
However, according to Ran Wang in [1]:
" ... this erratum is used to pass USB compliance test only, you could
 disable this workaround on your board if you don't any USB issue on
 normal use case, I think it's fine."

So just disable this erratum by default for these processors.

2f8a6db5d8 Finish conversion of CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ to Kconfig
In order to finish moving this symbol to Kconfig for all platforms, we
need to do a few more things. First, for all platforms that define this
to a function, introduce CONFIG_DYNAMIC_SYS_CLK_FREQ, similar to
CONFIG_DYNAMIC_DDR_CLK_FREQ and populate clock_legacy.h. This entails
also switching all users from CONFIG_SYS_CLK_FREQ to get_board_sys_clk()
and updating a few preprocessor tests.

With that done, all platforms that define a value here can be converted
to Kconfig, and a fall-back of zero is sufficiently safe to use (and
what is used today in cases where code may or may not have this
available). Make sure that code which calls this function includes
<clock_legacy.h> to get the prototype.

efb5dab7ba nxp: Migrate CONFIG_DDR_CLK_FREQ to Kconfig
As this symbol can either be a fixed value or the function
get_board_ddr_clk, migration is tricky. Introduce a choice of DYNAMIC
or STATIC_DDR_CLK_FREQ. If DYNAMIC, we continue to use the board
defined get_board_ddr_clk function. If STATIC, set CONFIG_DDR_CLK_FREQ
to that value and now include/clock_legacy.h contains the function
prototype or defines get_board_ddr_clk() to that static value. Update
callers to test for DYNAMIC or STATIC.

35b65dd8ef reset: Remove addr parameter from reset_cpu()
Historically, the reset_cpu() function had an `addr` parameter which was
meant to pass in an address of the reset vector location, where the CPU
should reset to. This feature is no longer used anywhere in U-Boot as
all reset_cpu() implementations now ignore the passed value. Generic
code has been added which always calls reset_cpu() with `0` which means
this feature can no longer be used easily anyway.

Over time, many implementations seem to have "misunderstood" the
existence of this parameter as a way to customize/parameterize the reset
(e.g. COLD vs WARM resets). As this is not properly supported, the
code will almost always not do what it is intended to (because all
call-sites just call reset_cpu() with 0).

To avoid confusion and to clean up the codebase from unused left-overs
of the past, remove the `addr` parameter entirely. Code which intends
to support different kinds of resets should be rewritten as a sysreset
driver instead.

This transformation was done with the following coccinelle patch:

    @@
    expression argvalue;
    @@
    - reset_cpu(argvalue)
    + reset_cpu()

    @@

b75d8dc564 treewide: convert bd_t to struct bd_info by coccinelle
The Linux coding style guide (Documentation/process/coding-style.rst)
clearly says:

  It's a **mistake** to use typedef for structures and pointers.

Besides, using typedef for structures is annoying when you try to make
headers self-contained.

Let's say you have the following function declaration in a header:

  void foo(bd_t *bd);

This is not self-contained since bd_t is not defined.

To tell the compiler what 'bd_t' is, you need to include <asm/u-boot.h>

  #include <asm/u-boot.h>
  void foo(bd_t *bd);

Then, the include direcective pulls in more bloat needlessly.

If you use 'struct bd_info' instead, it is enough to put a forward
declaration as follows:

  struct bd_info;
  void foo(struct bd_info *bd);

Right, typedef'ing bd_t is a mistake.

I used coccinelle to generate this commit.

The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows:

  <smpl>
  @@
  typedef bd_t;
  @@
  -bd_t
  +struct bd_info
  </smpl>

e784cf1bf2 arm: ls102xa: Fix RGMII phy-connection-type FDT fixup
In ft_fixup_enet_phy_connect_type(), use strlen() instead of sizeof()
on the pointer result of phy_string_for_interface(). sizeof() was
returning the size of the pointer (4 bytes), resulting in the
phy-connection-type being set to "rgmi" rather than "rgmii-id".

83d290c56f SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel style
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.

In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.

This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

b08c8c4870 libfdt: move headers to <linux/libfdt.h> and <linux/libfdt_env.h>
Thomas reported U-Boot failed to build host tools if libfdt-devel
package is installed because tools include libfdt headers from
/usr/include/ instead of using internal ones.

This commit moves the header code:
  include/libfdt.h         -> include/linux/libfdt.h
  include/libfdt_env.h     -> include/linux/libfdt_env.h

and replaces include directives:
  #include <libfdt.h>      -> #include <linux/libfdt.h>
  #include <libfdt_env.h>  -> #include <linux/libfdt_env.h>

d695d66278 spl: eMMC/SD: Provide one __weak spl_boot_mode() function
The goal of this patch is to clean up the code related to choosing SPL
MMC boot mode.

The spl_boot_mode() now is called only in spl_mmc_load_image() function,
which is only compiled in if CONFIG_SPL_MMC_SUPPORT is enabled.

To achieve the goal, all per mach/arch implementations eligible for
unification has been replaced with one __weak implementation.
