847fca6d47 imx: Use SATA instead of CMD_SATA
This causes a build failure on mx6cuboxi with split config, since CMD_SATA
shows up as enabled in SPl (because there is no SPL_CMD_SATA).

The condition is wrong anyway, so change it to use SATA instead.

aa6e94deab global: Move remaining CONFIG_SYS_SDRAM_* to CFG_SYS_SDRAM_*
The rest of the unmigrated CONFIG symbols in the CONFIG_SYS_SDRAM
namespace do not easily transition to Kconfig. In many cases they likely
should come from the device tree instead. Move these out of CONFIG
namespace and in to CFG namespace.

6cf1cc987f mx6cuboxi: fix board detection while patching device-tree phy nodes
ft_board_setup relies on the board_type() function to optimize which phy
nodes need to be enabled for Linux.
Add calls to setup and release the board-detect GPIOs.

Also fix the switch-case statement to only enable phy address 4 for
Cubox and unknown devices.

741ce3084e mx6cuboxi: fixup dtb ethernet phy nodes before booting an OS
SoM revision 1.9 has replaced the ar8035 phy address 0 with an adin1300
at address 1. Because early SoMs had a hardware flaw, the ar8035 can
also appear at address 4 - making it a total of 3 phy nodes in the DTB.

To avoid confusing Linux with probe errors, fixup the dtb to only enable
the phy node that is detected at runtime.

a4c577f981 mmc: mmc_get_op_cond: Allow quiet detection of eMMC
Add a new 'quiet' argument to mmc_get_op_cond() function which avoids
printing error message when SD/eMMC card is not detected.

Espressobin and mx6cuboxi boards use this function for detecting presence
of eMMC and therefore it is expected and normal that eMMC does not have to
be connected. So error message "Card did not respond to voltage select!"
should be skipped in this case as it is not an error.

401d1c4f5d common: Drop asm/global_data.h from common header
Move this out of the common header and include it only where needed.  In
a number of cases this requires adding "struct udevice;" to avoid adding
another large header or in other cases replacing / adding missing header
files that had been pulled in, very indirectly.   Finally, we have a few
cases where we did not need to include <asm/global_data.h> at all, so
remove that include.

6c3fbf3e45 mx6cuboxi: customize board_boot_order to access eMMC
In SPL legacy code only one MMC device is created, based on BOOT_CFG
register, which can be either SD or eMMC. In this context
board_boot_order return always MMC1 when configure to boot from
SD/eMMC. After switching to DM both SD and eMMC devices are created
based on the information available on DT, but as board_boot_order
only returns MMC1 is not possible to boot from eMMC.

This patch customizes board_boot_order taking into account BOOT_CFG
register to point to correct MMC1 / MMC2 device. Additionally, handle
IO mux for the desired boot device.

quite a few places but it still does not warrant blanket inclusion.

Note that this net.h header itself has quite a lot in it. It could be

c3dc39a2f8 arm: Don't include common.h in header files
It is bad practice to include common.h in other header files since it can
bring in any number of superfluous definitions. It implies that some C
files don't include it and thus may be missing CONFIG options that are set
up by that file. The C files should include these themselves.

Update some header files in arch/arm to drop this.

eb9124f574 mx6cuboxi: enable OF_CONTROL with DM_MMC and DM_USB
Make first step in DT/DM migration. Enable OF_CONTROL only for the main
U-Boot image for now.

Remove mmc_init_main() because board_mmc_init() is not called when
DM_MMC is enabled.

DM_MMC requires DM_GPIO for card-detect to work. That in turn makes gpio
request mandatory. Add code to request/free gpios in platform code.

MMC devices are now numbered according to DT. The SD card is 1, and eMMC
is 2. Account for that in board_mmc_get_env_dev(), BOOT_TARGET_DEVICES,
and has_emmc().

DM_MMC requires BLK. However, the (BLK && !DM_USB) combination disables
USB_STORAGE. Enable DM_USB to preserve USB functionality. Add also
DM_REGULATORS for the USB power controller. This allows us to drop
board_ehci_hcd_init() and setup_usb().

Runtime selection of DT is necessary because of the i.MX6QD vs i.MX6SDL
incompatibility. DT selection does not rely on GPIOs, since DM_GPIO
depends on DT. Instead, we take one "fully featured" DT of each variant.
That should be enough to boot from both SD card and eMMC.

Since we don't select the exact DT, override the generic
show_board_info() that shows the selected DT 'model' field.

19ed6063a5 mx6cuboxi: Use mmc_get_op_cond() to check for an eMMC
Previously we had just made broad assumptions with which of our
boards had an eMMC or not even though this is a manufacturing time
assembly option.  This takes the guessing away and actually checks for
the existence of an eMMC and sets up the has_emmc environment variable.

51f957adf7 mx6cuboxi: fix 4GB ddr memory detection
The soms with 4GB ddr have a rowaddr of 16 not 15, this allows
the detection mechanism to properly identify them as 4GB.
However these soms can be populated with whatever amount of
memory the customer requests therefor we need a ram stride test.
We can not use the get_ram_size() function because not all 4GB's
of DDR is addressable on a 32-bit architecture.  Therefore instead
we use a memory stride of 128MB's and look for the address that
the memory wraps.  This function is used for all som types to
catch most memory configurations.

This is a revised version of Rabeeh Khoury's original code.

73708200f0 mx6cuboxi: consolidate board detection and add som revision checking
In order to properly detect the board the checks need to be done
in a specific order.  Move these tests back into a single enum
function that will always return the proper the board it is checking.

This also adds the best test we have for detecting the rev 1.5 som,
and it simplifies the device-tree filename building.

83d290c56f SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel style
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from.  So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry.  Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.

In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.

This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents.  There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

b1e8512e9d detect and setup solidrun hummingboard2
The hummingboard2 is slightly different to the cubox i and to the
hummingboard. The GPIO pin info to probe came from solidruns
for of u-boot on github.

552a848e4f imx: reorganize IMX code as other SOCs

for adding SOMs. SOC's related files are moved from cpu/ to
mach-imx/<SOC>.

ff18156325 mx6cuboxi: Add support for sata
The Cubox-i and Hummingboard series of devices have an option of
SATA on board, and depending on how the fuses are blown even the
option to boot SPL from SATA. So enable support for it so it can
be used to boot the OS from if people desire.

edf0093732 mx6: ddr: Allow changing REFSEL and REFR fields
Currently MX6 SPL DDR initialization hardcodes the REF_SEL and
REFR fields of the MDREF register as 1 and 7, respectively for
DDR3 and 0 and 3 for LPDDR2.

Looking at the MDREF initialization done via DCD we see that
boards do need to initialize these fields differently:

e162c6b1a7 usb: Rename ehci-fsl.h to ehci-ci.h

designed by Chipidea and used by various SoC vendors.

This patch renames it to a generic header: ehci-ci.h

4b421d4ea1 mx6cuboxi: Fix the reset delay for the AR8035 PHY
Since commit 59370f3fcd ("net: phy: delay only if reset handler is
registered") Ethernet is no longer functional:

Booting from net ...
FEC Waiting for PHY auto negotiation to complete......... TIMEOUT !
BOOTP broadcast 1
BOOTP broadcast 2
BOOTP broadcast 3
BOOTP broadcast 4

This commit does not have an issue in itself, but it revelead a problem
with the Ethernet initialization.

As per the AR8035 datasheet:

"For a reliable power on reset, suggest to keep asserting the reset
low long enough (10ms) to ensure the clock is stable and clock-to-reset
1ms requirement is satisfied."

So do as suggested and keep the reset low for 10ms.

Also add a 100us delay after deasserting the reset line
to guarantee that the PHY ID can be read correctly and the Atheros
PHY can be loaded as per Troy Kisky's suggestion.

f2ff834365 imx: mx6: ddr init MMDC according to ddr_type
To i.MX6, DDR3 and LPDDR2 is supported, so rename function mx6_dram_cfg
to mx6_ddr3_cfg and the original mx6_dram_cfg function only is a wrapper.
The new reimplemented function mx6_dram_cfg only invokes mx6_ddr3_cfg
when ddr_type is for DDR3. Later we can use ddr_type to initialize
MMDC for LPDDR2.

Initialize ddr_type for different boards which enable SPL.

6d97dc10a8 imx: clock support enet2 anatop clock support
To i.MX6SX/UL, two ethernet interfaces are supported.
Add ENET2 clock support:
1. Introduce a new input parameter "fec_id", only 0 and 1 are allowed.
   To value 1, only i.MX6SX/UL can pass the check.
2. Modify board code who use this api to follow new api prototype.

712be3eef6 mx6cuboxi: Fix Ethernet PHY detection problem
mx6cuboxi sometimes fails to recognize the Ethernet PHY:

Net:   Phy 0 not found

The explanation for this behavior comes from from Rabeeh Khoury:

"The LED_ACT pin on the carrier-one boards had a pull down that
forces the phy address to 0x0; where on CuBox-i and the production
HummingBoard that pin is connected directly to LED that depending
on the pull down strength of the LED it might be sampled as '0' or '1' thus
the phy address might appear as either address 0x0 or 0x4."

"This is AR8035 implementation; in reset stage the LED pin is configured as
input, and pull up/down does matter. In this case it configures the PHY
address.

After reset is deasserted the same LED pin becomes output and then
according to the previous pull/up it should be active high/low"

One way to properly fix this behavior is to place external pull-up/down
resistors in the LED line, but from a software standpoint we can fix it
by telling phy_find_by_mask() to scan the PHY at addresses
0x0 and 0x4.
