e850ed82bc ARM: OMAP4+: Allow arch specfic code to use early DM
Early system initialization is being done before initf_dm is being called
in U-Boot. Then system will fail to boot if any of the DM enabled driver
is being called in this system initialization code. So, rearrange the
code a bit so that DM enabled drivers can be called during early system
initialization.

d88d6c8ccf ARM: OMAP4/5: Add generic board detection hook
Many TI EVMs have capability to store relevant board information
such as DDR description in EEPROM. Further many pad configuration
variations can occur as part of revision changes in the platform.
In-order to support these at runtime, we for a board detection hook
which is available for override from board files that may desire to do
so.

NOTE: All TI EVMs are capable of detecting board information based on
early clocks that are configured. However, in case of additional needs
this can be achieved within the override logic from within the board
file.

93e6253d11 ARM: OMAP4/5: Centralize early clock initialization
Early clock initialization is currently done in two stages for OMAP4/5
SoCs. The first stage is the initialization of console clocks and
then we initialize basic clocks for functionality necessary for SoC
initialization and basic board functionality.

By splitting up prcm_init and centralizing this clock initialization,
we setup the code for follow on patches that can do board specific
initialization such as board detection which will depend on these
basic clocks.

As part of this change, since the early clock initialization
is centralized, we no longer need to expose the console clock
initialization.

NOTE: we change the sequence slightly by initializing console clocks
timer after the io settings are complete, but this is not expected
to have any functioanlity impact since we setup the basic IO drive
strength initialization as part of do_io_settings.

60c7c30aa0 omap-common: Common boot code OMAP3 support and cleanup
This introduces OMAP3 support for the common omap boot code, as well as a
major cleanup of the common omap boot code.

First, the omap_boot_parameters structure becomes platform-specific, since its
definition differs a bit across omap platforms. The offsets are removed as well
since it is U-Boot's coding style to use structures for mapping such kind of
data (in the sense that it is similar to registers). It is correct to assume
that romcode structure encoding is the same as U-Boot, given the description
of these structures in the TRMs.

The original address provided by the bootrom is passed to the U-Boot binary
instead of a duplicate of the structure stored in global data. This allows to
have only the relevant (boot device and mode) information stored in global data.
It is also expected that the address where the bootrom stores that information
is not overridden by the U-Boot SPL or U-Boot.

The save_omap_boot_params is expected to handle all special cases where the data
provided by the bootrom cannot be used as-is, so that spl_boot_device and
spl_boot_mode only return the data from global data.

All of this is only relevant when the U-Boot SPL is used. In cases it is not,
save_boot_params should fallback to its weak (or board-specific) definition.
save_omap_boot_params should not be called in that context either.

7ae8350f67 ti: armv7: Move SPL SDRAM init to the right place, drop unused CONFIG_SPL_STACK
Currently in some cases SDRAM init requires global_data to be available
and soon this will not be available prior to board_init_f().  Adjust the
code paths in these cases to be correct.  In some cases we had the SPL
stack be in DDR as we might have large stacks (due to Falcon Mode +
Environment).  In these cases switch to CONFIG_SPL_STACK_R.  In other
cases we had simply been setting CONFIG_SPL_STACK into SRAM.  In these
cases we no longer need to (CONFIG_SYS_INIT_SP_ADDR is used and is also
in SRAM) so drop those lines.

a6b541b090 TI ARMv7: Don't use GD before crt0.S has set it
Prior to this change we set the gd pointer early so that we can store
data in it.  This becomes problematic for DM changes as well as being
odd in general.  Re-work the code paths so that we don't need to set the
gd pointer so early and instead can rely upon the normal setting of it.

In order to do this we do need to move certain calls from s_init into
spl_board_init(), mainly preloader_console_init and
save_omap_boot_params.

Tested on: Beaglebone Black, AM43xx GP EVM, Beagleboard, Beagleboard xM,
OMAP5 uEVM, DRA7xx EVM

7b92252370 ARM: DRA: Enable VTT regulator
DRA7 evm REV G and later boards uses a vtt regulator for DDR3 termination
and this is controlled by gpio7_11. Configuring gpio7_11.
The pad A22(offset 0x3b4) is used by gpio7_11 on REV G and later boards,
and left unused on previous boards, so it is safe enough to enable gpio
on all DRA7 boards.

8c16dd6fa7 ARM: OMAP: Fix handling of errata i727
The errata is applicable on all OMAP4 (4430 and 4460/4470) and OMAP5
ES 1.0 devices. The current revision check erroneously implements this
on all DRA7 varients and with DRA722 device (which has only 1 EMIF instance)
infact causes an asynchronous abort and ends up masking it in CPSR,
only to be uncovered once the kernel switches to userspace.

d7630da6f4 ARM: OMAP: Fix omap_sdram_size calculation
Last section of DMM is used for trapping tiler unmapped sections.
Corresponding trap_size should be deducted from total SDRAM size
only if trap section is overlapping with available SDRAM
based on DMM sections. Fixing the same.

939911a64b armv7:TI: Add <asm/ti-common/sys_proto.h> and migrate omap_hw_init_context
The omap_hw_init_context function (and assorted helpers) is the same for
all OMAP-derived parts as when CHSETTINGS are used, that's the same and
our DDR base is also always the same.  In order to make this common we
simply need to update the names of the define for DDR address space
which is also common.

In DRA7xx Soc's voltage scaling is done using GPI2C.
So i2c_init should happen before scaling. I2C driver
uses __udelay which needs timer to be initialized.

We need to call the save_omap_boot_params function on am33xx/ti81xx and
other newer TI SoCs, so move the function to boot-common.  Only OMAP4+
has the omap_hw_init_context function so add ifdefs to not call it on
am33xx/ti81xx.  Call save_omap_boot_params from s_init on am33xx/ti81xx
boards.

fda06812a0 ARM: OMAP: Correct save_boot_params and replace with 'C' function
Currently save_boot_params saves the boot parameters passed
from romcode. But this is not stored in a writable location
consistently. So the current code would not work for a
'XIP' boot. Change this by saving the boot parameters in
'gd' which is always writable. Also add a 'C' function
instead of an assembly code that is more readable.

de63ac278c ARM: mmu: Set domain permissions to client access
The 'XN' execute never bit is set in the pagetables. This will
 prevent speculative prefetches to non executable regions. But the
 domain permissions are set as master in the DACR register.
 So the pagetable attribute for 'XN' is not effective. Change the
 permissions to client.

 This fixes lot of speculative prefetch aborts seen on OMAP5
 secure devices.

d4d986ee27 ARM: OMAP5: srcomp: enable slew rate compensation cells after powerup
After power-up SRCOMP cells are by-passed by default in OMAP5.
Software has to enable these SRCOMP sells.
For ES2: All 5 SRCOMP cells needs to be enabled.
For ES1: Only 4 SRCOMP cells in core power domain are enabled.
	 The 1 in wkup domain is not enabled because smart i/os
	 of wkup domain work with default compensation code.

01b753ff7b ARM: OMAP4+: Change the PRCM structure prototype common for all Socs
The current PRCM structure prototype directly matches the hardware
register layout. So there is a need to change this for every new silicon
revision which has register space changes.

Avoiding this by making the prototye generic and populating the register
addresses seperately for all Socs.

6507f133f3 SPL: Create arch/arm/lib/spl.c for board_init_f and jump_to_image_linux
In SPL (CONFIG_SPL_FRAMEWORK) board_init_f must setup the stack pointer,
clear the BSS and call board_init_r.  We mark this as weak as some
platforms may need to perform additional initalization at this point.
We provide a gd that we know will be in a usable location, once the BSS
has been cleared to help with this as well.  Finally, we no longer call
relocate_code so remove that from the armv7 version.

Next, both board_init_f and jump_to_image_linux are going to be
inherently arch-specific, so move these versions to arch/arm/lib/spl.c

47f7bcae8c SPL: Move the omap SPL framework to common/spl
Add a new flag, CONFIG_SPL_FRAMEWORK to opt into the common/spl SPL
framework, enable on all of the previously using boards.  We move the
spl_ymodem.c portion to common/ and spl_mmc.c to drivers/mmc/.  We leave
the NAND one in-place as we plan to replace it later in this series.

We use common/spl to avoid linker problems with respect to merging
constant strings in objects.   Otherwise all strings in common/ will be
linked in and kept which grows SPL in size too much.

38f25b125e OMAP4+: Force DDR in self-refresh after warm reset
Errata ID:i727

Description: The refresh rate is programmed in the EMIF_SDRAM_REF_CTRL[15:0]
REG_REFRESH_RATE parameter taking into account frequency of the device.
When a warm reset is applied on the system, the OMAP processor restarts
with another OPP and so frequency is not the same. Due to this frequency
change, the refresh rate will be too low and could result in an unexpected
behavior on the memory side.

Workaround:
The workaround is to force self-refresh when coming back from the warm reset
with the following sequence:
• Set EMIF_PWR_MGMT_CTRL[10:8] REG_LP_MODE to 0x2
• Set EMIF_PWR_MGMT_CTRL[7:4] REG_SR_TIM to 0x0
• Do a dummy read (loads automatically new value of sr_tim)
This will reduce the risk of memory content corruption, but memory content
can't be guaranteed after a warm reset.

This errata is impacted on
OMAP4430: 1.0, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3
OMAP4460: 1.0, 1.1
OMAP4470: 1.0
OMAP5430: 1.0

e06e914d87 ARM: OMAP4+: dmm: Take care of overlapping dmm and trap sections.
The DMM sections can be overlapping with each other, with
sections 3 to 0 having the highest to lowest priority in that
order. There could also be a section that is used trap the
unmapped Tiler entries and this trap section could be
overlapping with the actual sdram area.

So take care of the above scenarios while calculating the
size of the actual ram.

f59021791b OMAP SPL: Fix missing timer_init() call in OMAP4 s_init()
In 8775471bb, the call to timer_init() was removed from common code
and put in OMAP3 s_init() function. As a result the boot was broken
on OMAP4. This patch adds timer_init() in OMAP4 s_init(), that fix
boot on all OMAP4 boards.

78f455c055 omap4/5: Add support for booting with CH.
Configuration header(CH) is 512 byte header attached to an OMAP
boot image that will help ROM code to initialize clocks, SDRAM
etc and copy U-Boot directly into SDRAM. CH can help us in
by-passing SPL and directly boot U-boot, hence it's an alternative
for SPL. However, we intend to support both CH and SPL for OMAP4/5.

Initialization done through CH is limited and is not equivalent
to that done by SPL. So U-Boot has to distinguish between the
two cases and handle them accordingly. This patch takes care
of doing this.

508a58fa8e omap5: Add minimal support for omap5430.
This patch adds the minimal support for OMAP5. The platform and machine
specific headers and sources updated for OMAP5430.

OMAP5430 is Texas Instrument's SOC based on ARM Cortex-A15 SMP architecture.
It's a dual core SOC with GIC used for interrupt handling and SCU for cache
coherency.

Also moved some part of code from the basic platform support that can be made
common for OMAP4/5. Rest is kept out seperately. The same approach is followed
for clocks and emif support in the subsequent patches.
