In the current implementation, in case of I2C arbitration lost, a retry is
attempted; the message counter and pointer are reset to the original values
and the I2C xfer process is restart from the beginning.
However the message counter and message pointer are respectively
decremented and incremented by one before attempting any transfer, causing
the 1st transfer not to be actually retried (in case of a single transfer,
nothing is actually retried at all).
This patch fixes this: in case of retry, the 1st transfer is also retried.
Tested on a ZynqMP Kria board, with upstream older u-boot, but the involved
file and underlying logic seem basically the same.

The fdt_addr_t and phys_addr_t size have been decoupled. A 32bit CPU
can expect 64-bit data from the device tree parser, so use
dev_read_addr_ptr instead of the dev_read_addr function in the
various files in the drivers directory that cast to a pointer.
As we are there also streamline the error response to -EINVAL on return.

Enable driver to fetch the optional parameter (fifo-depth) from device
tree. If the parameter is not found in the device tree, it will use
the default value declared in the driver.

Avoid a race condition where read transaction is started
keeping expected bytes as 0. Which sometimes would result in sending
STOP signal as no data is expected. Observed on QEMU platform.

This construct is quite long-winded. In earlier days it made some sense
since auto-allocation was a strange concept. But with driver model now
used pretty universally, we can shorten this to 'auto'. This reduces
verbosity and makes it easier to read.
Coincidentally it also ensures that every declaration is on one line,
thus making dtoc's job easier.

The most of drivers are using '_' instead of '-' in driver name. That's why
sync up these names to be aligned. It looks quite bad to see both in use.

This fixes an issue that would cause I2C writes to timeout when the
number of bytes is a multiple of the FIFO depth (i.e. 16 bytes).
Within the transfer loop, after writing the data register with a new
byte to transfer, if the transfer size equals the FIFO depth, the loop
pauses until the INTERRUPT_COMP bit asserts to indicate data has been
sent. This same check is performed after the loop as well to ensure data
has been transferred prior to returning.
In the case where the amount of data to be written is a multiple of the
FIFO depth, the transfer loop would wait for the INTERRUPT_COMP bit to
assert after writing the final byte, and then wait for this bit to
assert once more. However, since the transfer has finished at this
point, no new data has been written to the data register, and hence
INTERRUPT_COMP will never assert.
Fix this by only waiting for INTERRUPT_COMP in the transfer loop if
there's still data to be written.

This patch fixes below warnings found with checker tool.
The variable len in i2c_msg struct is of unsigned type
and it is received as recv_count which is unsigned type
but it is checked with < 0 which is always false, hence
removed it.
The local variable curr_recv_count is declared as signed
type and compared aginst unsigned recv_count which is
incorrect. This is fixed by declaring it as unsigned type.

The arbitration lost interrupt was not getting cleared
while clearing interrupts. This patch fixes this by adding
arbitration lost interrupt as well during clear. This patch
also removes hardcoded value and defined a macro for it.

When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.
In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.
This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

gd in the code we no longer do, as well as cases where the code added
that line "just in case" during development and never dropped it.

These support the flat device tree. We want to use the dev_read_..()
prefix for functions that support both flat tree and live tree. So rename
the existing functions to avoid confusion.
In the end we will have:
1. dev_read_addr...() - works on devices, supports flat/live tree
2. devfdt_get_addr...() - current functions, flat tree only
3. of_get_address() etc. - new functions, live tree only
All drivers will be written to use 1. That function will in turn call
either 2 or 3 depending on whether the flat or live tree is in use.
Note this involves changing some dead code - the imx_lpi2c.c file.

Revision 1.0 of this IP has a quirk where if during a long read transfer
the transfer_size register will go to 0, the master will send a NACK to
the slave prematurely.
The way to work around this is to reprogram the transfer_size register
mid-transfer when the only the receive fifo is known full, i.e. the I2C
bus is known non-active.
The workaround is based on the implementation in the linux-kernel.

Revision 1.0 of this IP has a couple of issues, such as not supporting
repeated start conditions for read transfers.
So scan through the list of i2c messages for these conditions
and report an error if they are attempted.
This has been fixed for revision 1.4 of the IP, so only report the error
when the IP can really not do it.

400kHz is maximum freq which can be used on Xilinx ZynqMP.
Support it with standard divider calculator.
Input freq is hardcoded to 100MHz input freq till we have clock driver
which can provide this information for exact configuration.
