Aligning addresses and sizes causes overhead which is unnecessary when we
are not loading from block devices. Remove bl_len when it is not needed.
For example, on iot2050 we save 144 bytes with this patch (once the rest of
this series is applied):
add/remove: 0/0 grow/shrink: 0/3 up/down: 0/-144 (-144)
Function old new delta
spl_load_simple_fit 920 904 -16
load_simple_fit 496 444 -52
spl_spi_load_image 384 308 -76
Total: Before=87431, After=87287, chg -0.16%
We use panic() instead of BUILD_BUG_ON in spl_set_bl_len because we still
need to be able to compile it for things like mmc_load_image_raw_sector,
even if that function will not be used.

We ask for CONFIG_SPL_LOAD_FIT_ADDRESS in Kconfig, so we cannot define
it in C as a fall-back. However, this option previously was buried under
"if ... endif" Kconfig logic. Rework a number of config options to now
have more robust dependency lines so that we can ask this address when
needed. With that done, we can remove the fallback in spl_ram.c.

Some SPL functions directly use the binman 'u_boot_any' symbols to get
U-Boot's binman image position. These symbols are declared by the
SPL/TPL_BINMAN_SYMBOLS configs, but they are accessed by macros defined
by just CONFIG_BINMAN. So when BINMAN is enabled and BINMAN_SYMBOLS is
disabled, the code tries to use undeclared symbols and we get an error.
Therefore, any use of 'u_boot_any' symbols in the code is an implicit
dependency on SPL/TPL_BINMAN_SYMBOLS. However, in the current uses
they are meant to be the next phase's values, where that happens to be
U-Boot. In the meantime, helper funcions spl_get_image_pos/size() were
introduced to get these values.
Convert all uses of u_boot_any symbols to these functions, so we only
access these symbols at one place. Make sure they will not use these
symbols when the BINMAN_SYMBOLS configs are disabled, by returning early
in those cases.

The patch:
"spl: Weed out CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE usage"
(sha1: 04ce5427bd)

which end up in situation where SPL wasn't able to find out
image on the selected address.
Signed-off-by: Michal Simek <michal.simek@xilinx.com>
The SPL loaders assume that the CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE memory location
is available and can be corrupted by loading ie. uImage or fitImage
headers there. Sometimes it could be beneficial to load the headers
elsewhere, ie. if CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE is not yet writable while we
still want to parse the image headers in some local onchip memory to
ie. extract firmware from that image.
Add the possibility to override the location where the headers get
loaded by introducing new function, spl_get_load_buffer() which takes
two arguments -- offset from the CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE and size of the
data that are to be loaded there -- and returns a valid buffer address
or hangs the system. The default behavior is the same as before, add
the offset to CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE and return that address. User can
override the weak spl_get_load_buffer() function though.

At present each entry has an offset within its parent section. This is
useful for figuring out how entries relate to one another. However it
is sometimes necessary to locate an entry within an image, regardless
of which sections it is nested inside.
Add a new 'image-pos' property to provide this information. Also add
some documentation for the -u option binman provides, which updates the
device tree with final entry information.
Since the image position is a better symbol to use for the position of
U-Boot as obtained by SPL, update the SPL symbols to use this instead of
offset, which might be incorrect if hierarchical sections are used.
Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
After some thought, I believe there is an unfortunate naming flaw in
binman. Entries have a position and size, but now that we support
hierarchical sections it is unclear whether a position should be an
absolute position within the image, or a relative position within its
parent section.
At present 'position' actually means the relative position. This indicates
a need for an 'image position' for code that wants to find the location of
an entry without having to do calculations back through parents to
discover this image position.
A better name for the current 'position' or 'pos' is 'offset'. It is not
always an absolute position, but it is always an offset from its parent
offset.
It is unfortunate to rename this concept now, 18 months after binman was
introduced. However I believe it is the right thing to do. The impact is
mostly limited to binman itself and a few changes to in-tree users to
binman:
tegra
sunxi
x86
The change makes old binman definitions (e.g. downstream or out-of-tree)
incompatible if they use the 'pos = <...>' property. Later work will
adjust binman to generate an error when it is used.

When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.
In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.
This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.
