Add board specific EEPROM handling module,
read the serial number from the EEPROM and pass it to Linux.

Seems people fixed their files to use libfoo.o, but didn't actually
update the creation targets to use $(cmd_link_o_target). Update the
rest of the Makefile's found with grep.

The top level Makefile does not do any recursion into subdirs when
cleaning, so these clean/distclean targets in random arch/board dirs
never get used. Punt them all.
MAKEALL didn't report any errors related to this that I could see.
