- Guard most of the options in drivers/ddr/fsl/Kconfig with
SYS_FSL_DDR || SYS_FSL_MMDC.
- Migrate FSL_DMA, DDR_ECC, DDR_ECC_CMD, and ECC_INIT_VIA_DDRCONTROLLER
to Kconfig.
- Clean up the logic for including the DDR_ECC_CMD code.

As this symbol can either be a fixed value or the function
get_board_ddr_clk, migration is tricky. Introduce a choice of DYNAMIC
or STATIC_DDR_CLK_FREQ. If DYNAMIC, we continue to use the board
defined get_board_ddr_clk function. If STATIC, set CONFIG_DDR_CLK_FREQ
to that value and now include/clock_legacy.h contains the function
prototype or defines get_board_ddr_clk() to that static value. Update
callers to test for DYNAMIC or STATIC.

- As there are no boards that use different values for speed / slave on
different buses, use a single option.
- Switch to using the common SYS_I2C_SPEED / SYS_I2C_SLAVE options.
- Introduce _HAS_ options for additional buses as only the first one is
common to all users.
- Convert all remaining symbols to Kconfig.

First, we convert CONFIG_SYS_I2C_LEGACY to Kconfig. Next, as you cannot
have SYS_I2C_LEGACY and DM_I2C at the same time, introduce
CONFIG_SPL_SYS_I2C_LEGACY so that we can enable the legacy option only
in SPL. Finally, for some PowerPC cases we also need
CONFIG_TPL_SYS_I2C_LEGACY support. Convert all of the existing users to
one or more symbols.

At this point in time, there's no systems with "U-Boot environment
exists on an EEPROM which is accessed over the I2C bus" that sets this

It is quite confusing that CONFIG_SYS_I2C selects the legacy I2C and
CONFIG_DM_I2C selects the current I2C. The deadline to migrate I2C is less
than a year away.
Also we want to have a CONFIG_I2C for U-Boot proper just like we have
CONFIG_SPL_I2C for SPL, so we can simplify the Makefile rules.
Rename this symbol so it is clear it is going away.

A system clock of 66MHz was chosen for the pg-wcom-ls102xa.
Compared to the Evalboard, this corresponds to a reduction of 1/3.
The system counter clock should have been reduced accordingly,
but that was not the case, so we had a system time that was
1/3 behind the real time.
This patch corrects the system counter clock to
8.333MHz = 66.667MHz / 8.

In order to improve power consumption ls102x allows to disable peripherals
that are not in use.
This patch follows SELI8 HW design description and disables peripherals
that are not in use in our designs, the same configuration is applicable
and for EXPU1.
This patch uses available hwconfig option for updating ls102x device
disable configuration.

The default behavior in the latest u-boot revisions is to rotate the
active net device to the next available if the requested link is not
established.
For our ls102x based devices this would mean that if active debug net
device is not available, u-boot will rotate and set the next net device
that is one of the estar adapters.
To return from this situation manual action to set correct ethact
adapter will be needed and this can be annoying when working in
debug mode.
Setting ethrotate=no will disable net adapter rotation and will make sure
that the primary adapter is always used.

In our designs we reserve PRAM area at the end of the RAM, and in order
this area to be visible and taken into account by the u-boot memory mgmt
CONFIG_PRAM has to be defined.

From production view this is standard test executed during production on
all linux based foxmc cards.
On CENT2 HW defined memory region is zero means that some DDR accesses are
done by memory_post_dataline and memory_post_addrline but pattern tests
are skipped that's why mem_regions is fast there.
On ls102x for the complete DDR region of 1GiB memory_regions_post_test
takes approx. 4min and this is too much for production, so this patch
defines only 1MiB region as compromise.

The SELI8 design is a new tdm service unit card for Hitachi-Powergrids
XMC and FOX product lines.
It is based on NXP LS1021 SoC and it provides following interfaces:
- IFC interface for NOR, NAND and external FPGA's
- 1 x RGMII ETH for debug purposes
- 2 x SGMII ETH for management communication via back-plane
- 1 x uQE HDLC for management communication via back-plane
- 1 x I2C for peripheral devices
- 1 x SPI for peripheral devices
- 1 x UART for debug logging
It is foreseen that the design will be later re-used for another XMC and
FOX service cards with similar SoC requirements.

Instead having a hard coded value for "cramfsaddr" after compile time,
we change it to take the variable "cramfsaddr" for the ubicopy variable.
This makes sure that ubicopy uses the right address, even when
the value for "cramfsaddr" has changed.

Due to increasing kernel image sizes we get problems when decompressing
the kernel image. To fix this we need to change the addresses where we
load and where we extract the kernel. Also we need to adapt the address
where to load the CRAMFS image and where to load the DTB file.
While at it also harmonize all boards for PPC and ARM to have the
same values. Also we add a new variable "env_version", so that the
userspace is able to detect if this is a u-boot binary with updated
values or not.

- In ARMv8 NXP Layerscape platforms we also need to make use of
CONFIG_SYS_RELOC_GD_ENV_ADDR now, do so.
- On ENV_IS_IN_REMOTE, CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET is never used, drop the define
to 0.
- Add Kconfig entry for ENV_ADDR.
- Make ENV_ADDR / ENV_OFFSET depend on the env locations that use it.
- Add ENV_xxx_REDUND options that depend on their primary option and
SYS_REDUNDAND_ENVIRONMENT
- On a number of PowerPC platforms, use SPL_ENV_ADDR not CONFIG_ENV_ADDR
for the pre-main-U-Boot environment location.
- On ENV_IS_IN_SPI_FLASH, check not for CONFIG_ENV_ADDR being set but
rather it being non-zero, as it will now be zero by default.
- Rework the env_offset absolute in env/embedded.o to not use
CONFIG_ENV_OFFSET as it was the only use of ENV_OFFSET within
ENV_IS_IN_FLASH.
- Migrate all platforms.

We have CONFIG_ENV_SIZE_IS_REDUND but don't really use it. We have one
board where we can simply multiple CONFIG_ENV_SIZE by two for the same
result. The other place where we could but were not previously using
this is for where env_internal.h checks for if we should set
ENV_IS_EMBEDDED. This seems like the most likely use, historically, of
the variable, but it was not used. Add logic to check for this now.

Activate the driver model for the Ethernet interface (RGMII) in the KM
Kirkwood Kconfig file. Additionally, raise the auto negotiation timeout
to eight seconds as more time is required for those boards.

Activate the driver model for the serial interface in the KM Kirkwood
Kconfig file. The associated preprocessor definitions could be removed

To execute the conversion away from board specific header files, Kconfig
menus have been implemented for all KM boards and additionally for those
having an ARM architecture.
For the moment, the preprocessor definitions stay in the headers. The
boolean types, however, needed a modification (#define CONFIG_* 1).
The default configuration files of some boards required an update in order
to not change the currently defined values of the configurations.

KM Kirkwood boards now implement the driver model for its SPI flash
interface. Therefore, the old board specific claim and release functions
can be deleted. The preprocessor definition CONFIG_SYS_KW_SPI_MPP is yet
unused as well. All its appearances and dependencies are removed in the
kirkwood_spi driver, header files and finally the configuration whitelist.

Move the main symbol for Freescale Fman Ethernet controller option to
Kconfig. Also migrate the CONFIG_SYS_QE_FMAN_FW_IN_xxx macros and
rename the SPIFLASH one to follow the same format as all of the others.
To do this fully we need to migrate CONFIG_QC, do so.

We want to unroll several include files, while keeping include
statements consistent.
To make it easier to not break the include statements, move the include
files to the main configs directory. All three include files moved will
be unrolled, so they won't pollute the directory for long.

Now that new SPI NOR layer uses stateless 4 byte opcodes by default,
don't enable SPI_FLASH_BAR. For SPI controllers that cannot support
4-byte addressing, (stm32_qspi.c, fsl_qspi.c, mtk_qspi.c, ich.c,
renesas_rpc_spi.c) add an imply clause to enable SPI_FLASH_BAR so as to
not break functionality.

Instead of manually specifying CONFIG_SYS_EXTRA_ENV_RELOC
for every board that needs it, it shouldn't hurt to let
initr_reloc_global_data() always relocate gd->env_addr
unless we know this pointer is outside the initial binary.
To achieve this, the relocation is omitted if
CONFIG_ENV_ADDR is defined (and ENV_IS_EMBEDDED is not).

Migrate boards which set bootlimit in the environment to Kconfig.
We exclude gurnard_defconfig which includes a bootlimit=, but doesn't set
CONFIG_BOOTCOUNT_LIMIT, so we'd fail to include a bootlimit setting
if we migrated it.
display5_defconfig and display5_factory_defconfig share a SYS_CONFIG_NAME,
but only display5_defconfig enables CONFIG_BOOTCOUNT_LIMIT, so we fail to
set bootlimit= in display5_factory_defconfig. This is okay because the
display5_factory_defconfig doesn't need to have it set, as it is only
meant to prepare the board in the factory.
Environment changes for all modified configs as seen from buildman:
boards.cfg is up to date. Nothing to do.

We have the following cases:
- CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was defined, migrate normally
- CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS_MAX was defined and then used for
CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS after a check, just migrate it over now.
- CONFIG_NR_DRAM_BANKS was very oddly defined on p2771-0000-* (to 1024 +
2), set this to 8.

When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first

and with slightly different comment styles than us.
In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.
This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

CONFIG_HOSTNAME is defined as a "plain" preprocessor string, but every
use is couched by __stringify(...).
Hence, convert it to a proper string option.

This converts the following to Kconfig:
CONFIG_CONS_INDEX
We have existing entries for this option in a number of places, with
different guards on them. They're also sometimes used for things not
directly inside of the serial driver. First, introduce a new symbol to
guard the use of CONFIG_CONS_INDEX, so that in the case where we don't
need this for the serial driver, but for some other use, we can still do
it. Next, consolidate all of these into the single entry in
drivers/serial/Kconfig. Finally, introduce CONS_INDEX_[023456] so that
we can imply a correct value here to make the defconfig side of this
smaller.

Migrate the users of CONFIG_SYS_BOOTCOUNT_ADDR to Kconfig. We can
provide a default for BOOTCOUNT_AM33XX as that's a specific part of the
RTC in use. We can also provide a default for ARCH_LS1043A and
ARCH_LS1021A as they had been previously calculated and their symbols
are in Kconfig. In the case of other QE-enabled platforms, they are not
so we must update the relevant defconfig files. The previous default
only applied in some cases, even on a specific SoC family.

On the NIOS2 and Xtensa architectures, we do not have
CONFIG_SYS_TEXT_BASE set. This is a strict migration of the current
values into the defconfig and removing them from the headers.
I did not attempt to add more default values in and for now will leave
that to maintainers.

The CONFIG_SYS_DPAA_QBMAN define is used by DPAA1 freescale SOCs to
add device tree fixups that allow deep sleep in Linux. The define was
placed in header files included by a number of boards, but was not
explicitly documented in any of the Kconfigs. A description was added
to the drivers/networking menuconfig and default selection for
current SOCs that have this part

In fact this already exists for sunxi as a 'choice' config. However not
all the choices are available in Kconfig yet so we cannot use that. It
would lead to more than one option being set.
In addition, one purpose of this series is to allow the environment to be
stored in more than one place. So the existing choice is converted to a
normal config allowing each option to be set independently.
There are not many opportunities for Kconfig updates to reduce the size of
this patch. This was tested with
./tools/moveconfig.py -i CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC
And then manual updates. This is because for CHAIN_OF_TRUST boards they
can only have ENV_IS_NOWHERE set, so we enforce that via Kconfig logic
now.

This subsystem is quite old. It has been replaced with a driver-model
version (UCLASS_THERMAL). Boards are free to convert to that if required,
but here is a removal patch that could be applied in the meantime.
