This function only needs the output directory from the builder. This is
passed into the builder, so just pass the same value to show_actions().
The avoids needing a builder to call show_actions().

This does not need any of the control features. Move it out of main to
reduce the size of the do_buildman() function.
For Python 3.6 the -H feature will not work, but this does not seem to be
a huge problem, as it dates from 2016.

Allow writing the file to a selected location, since otherwise this is
controlled by the buildman configuration, so cannot be determined by the
caller.

The patman directory has a number of modules which are used by other tools
in U-Boot. This makes it hard to package the tools using pypi since the
common files must be copied along with the tool that uses them.
To address this, move these files into a new u_boot_pylib library. This
can be packaged separately and listed as a dependency of each tool.

This is quite a useful thing to use when building since it avoids small
size changes between commits. Add a -r flag for it.
Also undefine CONFIG_LOCALVERSION_AUTO since this appends the git hash
to the version string, causing every build to be slightly different.

This cuts down build performance considerably and is not always needed,
when checking for build errors, etc.

Add a new flag to buildman so that we will in turn pass
BINMAN_ALLOW_MISSING=1 to 'make'. Make use of this flag in CI.
Allow the settings file to control this.

Bring this tool into buildman, so we don't have to run it separately. The
board.cfg file is still produced as part of the build, to save time when
doing another build in the same working directory. If it is out of date
with respect to the Kconfig, it is updated.
Time to regenerate on a recent single-thread machine is 4.6s (1.3s on a
32-thread machine), so we do need some sort of cache if we want buildman
to be useful on incremental builds. We could use Python's pickle format
but:
- it seems useful to allow boards.cfg to be regenerated, at least for a
while, in case other tools use it
- it is possible to grep the file easily, e.g. to find boards which use
a particular SoC (similar to 'buildman -nv <soc>'

Add a flag to allow buildman to behave properly for use from an IDE. This
shows error/warning output on stderr and drops all summary and progress
information.
This should normally only be used when building a single board.
Fix up a confusing comment for GetResultSummary() while we are here, since
we want to use the Outcome object to access the unprocessed error lines
from the build.

Add a -a option to specify changes to the config before the build
commences. For example
buildman -a ~CONFIG_CMDLINE
disables CONFIG_CMDLINE before doing the build.
This makes it easier to try things out as well as to write tests without
creating a new board or manually manging the .config file.

Collect the code for printing the full help message of patman, buildman
and binman into a single function in patman.tools.

There have been at least a few cases where an exception has occurred in a
thread and resulted in buildman hanging: running out of disk space and
getting a unicode error.
Handle these by collecting a list of exceptions, printing them out and
reporting failure if any are found. Add a test for this.

At present even if only a single thread is in use, buildman still uses
threading.
For some debugging it is helpful to do everything in the main process.
Allow -T0 to support this.

Older versions of this script don't support the -q flag. Since buildman
runs this script from when it starts, we may get the old version.
Fix this in two ways:
1. Use the version from the same tree as buildman is run from, if
available
2. Failing that, allow the -q flag to be missing

At present patman sets the python path on startup so that it can access
the libraries it needs. If we convert to use absolute imports this is not
necessary.
Move patman to use absolute imports. This requires changes in tools which
use the patman libraries (which is most of them).

It is a bad idea to use the default output directory ('..') with -w since
it does a build in that directory and writes various files these.
Require that -o is given to avoid this problem.

The current exit codes of 128 and 129 are useful in that they do not
conflict with those returned by tools, but they are not actually valid.
It seems better to pick some codes which work with 'bit bisect run'.
Update them to 100 (for errors) and 101 (for warnings).

These are becoming more common now. They cause boards to show warnings
which can be mistaking for compiler warnings.
Add a buildman option to ignore them. This option works only with the
summary option (-s). It does not affect the build process.
