43b059884a test: compression: check with trailing garbage in input
The Linux kernel appends 4 bytes to the end of compressed kernel Images
containing the uncompressed image size. They are used to make
self-decompressing Images easier. However for archs that don't support
self-decompression, like ARM64, U-Boot must be able to decompress the
image with the garbage data.

The existing decompressors already support this. This unit test was
added while working on zstd support as upstream zstd will error if there
is garbage data in the input buffer, and special care was needed to
support this.

2a2d8e94dd lz4: Use a private header for U-Boot
At present U-Boot has a header file called lz4.h for its own use. If the
host has its own lz4 header file installed (e.g. from the 'liblz4-dev'
package) then host builds will use that instead.

Move the U-Boot file into its own directory, as is done with various
other headers with the same problem.

a7a98755b8 test: Add a macros for finding tests in linker_lists

add a helpful macro instead. This will also allow us to change the naming

0914011310 command: Remove the cmd_tbl_t typedef
We should not use typedefs in U-Boot. They cannot be used as forward
declarations which means that header files must include the full header to
access them.

Drop the typedef and rename the struct to remove the _s suffix which is
now not useful.

This requires quite a few header-file additions.

4ad4edfe77 cmd_ut: add a parameter prefix to the function cmd_ut_category
There is black magic in the file conftest.py that list
all the test unit. Then, all those test unit are called
in pytest. This call is done with the end of the name
(for example checksum if the full name is bloblist_test_checksum).

The result is that only test for dm are really executed.
by pytest, all others tests are listed but never executed.

This behaviour happens because the dm test unit only check
the end of the name and others tests checks the full name.

To fix this issue, I've added a prefix to the function
cmd_ut_category, and this prefix is removed when looking
for the unit test.

2090854cd2 common: Move bootm_decomp_image() to image.c (as image_decomp())
Upcoming patches want to add decompression to use cases that are no
longer directly related to booting. It makes sense to retain a single
decompression routine, but it should no longer be in bootm.c (which is
not compiled for all configurations). This patch moves
bootm_decomp_image() to image.c and renames it to image_decomp() in
preparation of those upcoming patches.

83d290c56f SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel style
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and
there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the
area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it
with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the
Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first
line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line)
and with slightly different comment styles than us.

In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility
and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style.

This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared
license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag
contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag
and have introduced one.

49f22c38f1 test: compression: Put test variables in a struct
At present the test setup is somewhat mixed with the test itself. But if
the test setup fails (which it should not) then the test is actually
invalid. Put all the test buffers and sizes in a struct and separate out
the core code into a function.

This will make it easier to move the code to use the unit test framework.

027b728d4a Add support for LZ4 decompression algorithm
This patch adds support for LZ4-compressed FIT image contents. This
algorithm has a slightly worse compression ration than LZO while being
nearly twice as fast to decompress. When loading images from a fast
storage medium this usually results in a boot time win.

Sandbox-tested only since I don't have a U-Boot development system set
up right now. The code was imported unchanged from coreboot where it's
proven to work, though. I'm mostly interested in getting this recognized
by mkImage for use in a downstream project.
