fb989e0c6c clk: Drop dm.h header file in clk-provider.h
This header file should not be included in other header files. Remove it
and use a forward declaration and un-inlining of dev_get_clk_ptr()
instead.

Fix up the kendryte header files to avoid build errors.

720fcb27e0 mtd: spinand: micron: identify SPI NAND device with Continuous Read mode
Add SPINAND_HAS_CR_FEAT_BIT flag to identify the SPI NAND device with
the Continuous Read mode.

Some of the Micron SPI NAND devices have the "Continuous Read" feature
enabled by default, which does not fit the subsystem needs.

In this mode, the READ CACHE command doesn't require the starting column
address. The device always output the data starting from the first
column of the cache register, and once the end of the cache register
reached, the data output continues through the next page. With the
continuous read mode, it is possible to read out the entire block using
a single READ command, and once the end of the block reached, the output
pins become High-Z state. However, during this mode the read command
doesn't output the OOB area.

Hence, we disable the feature at probe time.

5d25784998 soc: ti: k3-ringacc: Add an API to request pair of rings
Add new API k3_ringacc_request_rings_pair() to request pair of rings at
once, as in the most case Rings are used with DMA channels which required
to request pair of rings - one to feed DMA with descriptors (TX/RX FDQ) and
one to receive completions (RX/TX CQ). This will allow to simplify Ringacc
API users.

7842749c35 linux/kconfig.h: create two- and three-argument versions of CONFIG_IS_ENABLED
This adds a bunch of preprocessor magic to extend the capabilities of
CONFIG_IS_ENABLED. The existing semantics of

  CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(FOO)

expanding to a 1 or 0 (depending on build context and the defined-ness
or not of the appropriate CONFIG_FOO/CONFIG_SPL_FOO/CONFIG_TPL_FOO)
are of course preserved. With this, one is also allowed a two-argument
form

  CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(FOO, (something))

which expands to something precisely when CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(FOO) would
expand to 1, and expands to nothing otherwise. It is, in other words,
completely equivalent to the three lines

  #if CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(FOO)
  something
  #endif

The second argument must be parenthesized in order to allow any
tokens, including a trailing comma, to appear - one use case for this
is precisely to make it a bit more ergonomic to build an array and
only include certain items depending on .config. That should increase
both readability and not least "git grep"ability.

A third variant is also introduced,

  CONFIG_IS_ENABLED(FOO, (xxx), (yyy))

which corresponds to

7d78a4547d linux/kconfig.h: remove unused helper macros
U-Boot does not have loadable modules, and nothing currently uses any
of the (CONFIG_)?IS_(BUILTIN|MODULE) macros - only
the (CONFIG_)?IS_ENABLED variants are ever used.

While I understand the desire to keep this somewhat synchronized with
linux, we've already departed by the introduction of the
CONFIG_IS_ENABLED extra logic, and deleting these makes the next patch
much simpler, since I won't have to duplicate a lot of logic for no
real gain (as there are no users).

b4f73886c4 linux/kconfig.h: simplify logic for choosing CONFIG_{SPL_, TPL_, }*
Instead of using the arg1_or_junk trick to pick between two choices,
with a bit of duplication between the branches (and most of the
CONFIG_TPL_BUILD case being redundant, as _IS_TPL is known to be
defined to 1 in that case), simply define a prefix that we inject
between CONFIG_ and the given config symbol.

This only requires one level of indirection (to get the
_CONFIG_PREFIX macro expanded before the token concatenation takes
place), and makes it easy to, say, introduce a CONFIG_HOSTTOOL_
prefix. [I would expect most HOSTTOOL_ symbols to just be def_bool y,
but it would allow us to clean up some of the ifdef HOSTCC mess in the
sources shared between U-Boot and host tools.]

1f1a0f3db3 compiler_types.h: Re-introduce CONFIG_OPTIMIZE_INLINING for U-Boot
In the Linux kernel, support for forcing inline functions to be made
inline, rather than allowing the compiler to make its own choice has
been removed.  With respect to performance, modern GCC (and Clang) do a
good job at deciding when to, or not to, inline code and there are no
run-time requirements in Linux anymore.

There is one downside to this, which is final binary size.  On average
in U-Boot removing this support grows SPL by almost 1 kilobyte.  But
there are cases where it shrinks the binary by making better inline
choices than we had forced.

Start by re-introducing CONFIG_OPTIMIZE_INLINING as a global which
essentially reverts 889b3c1245de ("compiler: remove CONFIG_OPTIMIZE_INLINING entirely")
from Linux.

Copy these from Linux v5.7-rc5 tag.

This brings in some handy new attributes and is otherwise important to
keep in sync.

We drop the reference to smp_read_barrier_depends() as it is not
relevant on the architectures we support at this time, based on where
it's implemented in Linux today.  We drop the call to kasan_check_read()
as that is not relevant to U-Boot as well.

c3dc39a2f8 arm: Don't include common.h in header files
It is bad practice to include common.h in other header files since it can
bring in any number of superfluous definitions. It implies that some C
files don't include it and thus may be missing CONFIG options that are set
up by that file. The C files should include these themselves.

Update some header files in arch/arm to drop this.

64045a6a17 libfdt: split fdt_region declarations out to <fdt_region.h>
fdt_region APIs are not part of libfdt. They are U-Boot extension
for the verified boot. Split the declarations related to fdt_region
out of <fdt_region.h>. This allows <linux/libfdt.h> to become a
simple wrapper file, like Linux does.

Use ofnode_ instead of fdt_ APIs so that the drivers can support live DT.
This patch updates usb_get_dr_mode() and usb_get_maximum_speed() to use

these APIs update to use live dt APIs at the same time.

9d86b89c59 dma-mapping: move dma_map_(un)single() to <linux/dma-mapping.h>
The implementation of dma_map_single() and dma_unmap_single() is
exactly the same for all the architectures that support them.

Factor them out to <linux/dma-mapping.h>, and make all drivers to
include <linux/dma-mapping.h> instead of <asm/dma-mapping.h>.

If we need to differentiate them for some architectures, we can
move the generic definitions to <asm-generic/dma-mapping.h>.

Add some comments to the helpers. The concept is quite similar to
the DMA-API of Linux kernel. Drivers are agnostic about what is
going on behind the scene. Just call dma_map_single() before the
DMA, and dma_unmap_single() after it.

336d4615f8 dm: core: Create a new header file for 'compat' features
At present dm/device.h includes the linux-compatible features. This
requires including linux/compat.h which in turn includes a lot of headers.
One of these is malloc.h which we thus end up including in every file in
U-Boot. Apart from the inefficiency of this, it is problematic for sandbox
which needs to use the system malloc() in some files.

Move the compatibility features into a separate header file.

a11c081da3 mtd: spi: spi-nor-core: Add SST vendor specific SFDP parser
JESD216 allow vendors to define their own SFDP tables.

Add SST SFDP parser. The vendor table is allocated using resource-managed
kmalloc - the table will be freed on driver detach. It will be accessible
by getting the UCLASS_SPI_FLASH's private data.

The SST's SFDP table is particularly of interest because contains
pre-programmed globally unique EUI-48 and EUI-64 identifiers.

5e6d9ccde9 dma: ti: k3-udma: Implement dma_get_cfg() interface
Implement dma_get_cfg() interface to pass flow id information for DMA
clients to use. This is needed because on K3 SoCs, CPSW (ethernet) and
UDMA (DMA provider) support "flows" within a given RX DMA channel. This
allows different network packets to be segregated while using same RX
DMA channel. In order for basic ethernet to work, CPSW slave must be
aware of the flow ID allocated for the RX channel by the DMA driver.
This interface allows CPSW to query flow ID from DMA provider and
configure it in CPSW HW.

eb446ef625 cmd: nand/sf: isolate legacy code
The 'sf' command is not supposed to rely on the MTD stack, but both
'sf' and 'nand' commands use helpers located in mtd_uboot.c. Despite
their location, these functions do not depend at all on the MTD
stack.

This file (drivers/mtd/mtd_uboot.c) is only compiled if CONFIG_MTD is
selected, which is inconsistent with the current situation. Solve this
by moving these three functions (which are only used by the above two
commands) out of mtd_uboot.c and put them in a C file only compiled
with cmd/sf.c and cmd/nand.c.

6b7ebff001 usb: dwc3: Add phy interface for dwc3_uboot
U-Boot has two different variants of dwc3 initializations,
- with dm variant gadget, so the respective dm driver would
  call the dwc3_init in core.
- with non-dm variant gadget, so the usage board file would
  call dwc3_uboot_init in core.

The driver probe would handle all respective gadget properties
including phy interface via phy_type property and then trigger
dwc3_init for dm-variant gadgets.

So, to support the phy interface for non-dm variant gadgets,
the better option is dwc3_uboot_init since there is no
dedicated controller for non-dm variant gadgets.

This patch support for adding phy interface like 8/16-bit UTMI+
code for dwc3_uboot.

This change used Linux phy.h enum list, to make proper code
compatibility.

8d94e184ff usb: udc: Introduce ->udc_set_speed() method
This patch was copied from kernel commit: 67fdfda4a99ed.

Sometimes, the gadget driver we want to run has max_speed lower than
what the UDC supports. In such situations, UDC might want to make sure
we don't try to connect on speeds not supported by the gadget
driver because that will just fail.

So here introduce a new optional ->udc_set_speed() method which can be
implemented by interested UDC drivers to achieve this purpose.

Any host while requesting for a device can request for its exclusive
access. If an exclusive permission is obtained then it is the host's
responsibility to release the device before the software entity on
the host completes its execution. Else any other host's request for
the device will be nacked. So add a command that releases all the
exclusive devices that is acquired by the current host. This should
be used with utmost care and can be called only at the end of the
execution.

Add and expose a new processor shutdown API that wraps the two TISCI
messages involved in initiating a core shutdown. The API will first
queue a message to have the DMSC wait for a certain processor boot
status to happen followed by a message to trigger the actual shutdown-
with both messages being sent without waiting or requesting for a
response. Note that the processor shutdown API call will need to be
followed up by user software placing the respective core into either
WFE or WFI mode.

Sysfw provides an option for requesting exclusive access for a
device using the flags MSG_FLAG_DEVICE_EXCLUSIVE. If this flag is
not used, the device is meant to be shared across hosts. Once a device
is requested from a host with this flag set, any request to this
device from a different host will be nacked by sysfw. Current tisci
driver enables this flag for every device requests. But this may not
be true for all the devices. So provide a separate commands in driver
for exclusive and shared device requests.

1d7993d1d0 clk: Port Linux common clock framework [CCF] for imx6q to U-boot (tag: v5.1.12)
This patch brings the files from Linux kernel (linux-stable/linux-5.1.y
SHA1: 5752b50477da)to provide clocks support as it is used on the Linux
kernel with Common Clock Framework [CCF] setup.

The directory structure has been preserved. The ported code only supports
reading information from PLL, MUX, Divider, etc and enabling/disabling
the clocks USDHCx/ECSPIx depending on used bus. Moreover, it is agnostic
to the alias numbering as the information about the clock is read from the
device tree.

One needs to pay attention to the comments indicating necessary for U-Boot's
driver model changes.

If needed, the code can be extended to support the "set" part of the clock
management.

826eb74015 firmware: Add support for querying msmc memory
DMSC can use certain amount of msmc memory available in the
system. Also certain part of msmc memory can be marked as L3
cache using board config. But users might not know what size
is being used and the remaining available msmc memory. In order
to fix this TISCI protocol provides a messages that can query
the available msmc memory in the system. Add support for this
message.

The UDMA-P is intended to perform similar (but significantly upgraded) functions
as the packet-oriented DMA used on previous SoC devices. The UDMA-P module
supports the transmission and reception of various packet types.
The UDMA-P also supports acting as both a UTC and UDMA-C for its internal
channels. Channels in the UDMA-P can be configured to be either Packet-Based or
Third-Party channels on a channel by channel basis.

The initial driver supports:
- MEM_TO_MEM (TR mode)
- DEV_TO_MEM (Packet mode)
- MEM_TO_DEV (Packet mode)

432f66fe73 soc: ti: k3: add navss ringacc driver
The Ring Accelerator (RINGACC or RA) provides hardware acceleration to
enable straightforward passing of work between a producer and a consumer.
There is one RINGACC module per NAVSS on TI AM65x SoCs.

The RINGACC converts constant-address read and write accesses to equivalent
read or write accesses to a circular data structure in memory. The RINGACC
eliminates the need for each DMA controller which needs to access ring
elements from having to know the current state of the ring (base address,
current offset). The DMA controller performs a read or write access to a
specific address range (which maps to the source interface on the RINGACC)
and the RINGACC replaces the address for the transaction with a new address
which corresponds to the head or tail element of the ring (head for reads,
tail for writes). Since the RINGACC maintains the state, multiple DMA
controllers or channels are allowed to coherently share the same rings as
applicable. The RINGACC is able to place data which is destined towards
software into cached memory directly.

Supported ring modes:
 - Ring Mode
 - Messaging Mode
 - Credentials Mode
 - Queue Manager Mode

TI-SCI integration:

Texas Instrument's System Control Interface (TI-SCI) Message Protocol now
has control over Ringacc module resources management (RM) and Rings
configuration.

The Ringacc driver manages Rings allocation by itself now and requests
TI-SCI firmware to allocate and configure specific Rings only. It's done
this way because, Linux driver implements two stage Rings allocation and
configuration (allocate ring and configure ring) while TI-SCI Message
Protocol supports only one combined operation (allocate+configure).

7aeedac015 mtd: spi: Port SPI NOR framework from Linux
Current U-Boot SPI NOR support (sf layer) is quite outdated as it does not
support 4 byte addressing opcodes, SFDP table parsing and different types of
quad mode enable sequences. Many newer flashes no longer support BANK
registers used by sf layer to a access >16MB of flash address space.
So, sync SPI NOR framework from Linux v4.19 that supports all the
above features. Start with basic sync up that brings in basic framework
subsequent commits will bring in more features.

e519c61606 bitops: Fix GENMASK definition for Sandbox
In arch/sandbox/include/asm/types.h we have
Therefore for 32 bit Sandbox build BITS_PER_LONG turns out to be 32 as
CONFIG_PHYS64 is not set

This messes up the current logic of GENMASK macro due to mismatch b/w
size of unsigned long (64 bit) and that of BITS_PER_LONG.
Fix this by using CONFIG_SANDBOX_BITS_PER_LONG which is set to 64/32
based on the host machine on which its being compiled.

Without this patch:
GENMASK(14,0) => 0x7fffffffffff
After this patch:
GENMASK(14,0) => 0x7fff

The BITMAP related operations can now be moved to ./include/linux/bitmap.h
file to mimic the Linux kernel directory tree.

This change also allows to remove the lin_gadget_compat.h header file

4a5594fa20 mtd: Don't stop MTD partition creation when it fails on one device
MTD partition creation code is a bit tricky. It tries to figure out
when things have changed (either MTD dev list or mtdparts/mtdids vars)
and when that happens it first deletes all the partitions that had been
previously created and then creates the new ones based on the new
mtdparts/mtdids values.
But before deleting the old partitions, it ensures that none of the
currently registered parts are being used and bails out when that's
not the case. So, we end up in a situation where, if at least one MTD
dev has one of its partitions used by someone (UBI for instance), the
partitions update logic no longer works for other devs.

Rework the code to relax the logic and allow updates of MTD parts on
devices that are not being used (we still refuse to updates parts on
devices who have at least one of their partitions used by someone).

4c47fd0b6b mtd: Add a function to report when the MTD dev list has been updated
We need to parse mtdparts/mtids again everytime a device has been
added/removed from the MTD list, but there's currently no way to know
when such an update has been done.

Add an ->updated field to the idr struct that we set to true every time
a device is added/removed and expose a function returning the value
of this field and resetting it to false.

49c751603c time: Update mdelay() to delay in one large chunk
The current function delays in one millisecond at a time. This does not
work well on sandbox since it results in lots of calls to usleep(1000) in
a tight loop. This makes the sleep duration quite variable since each call
results in a sleep of *at least* 1000us, but possibly more. Depending on
how busy the machine is, the sleep time can change quite a bit.

We cannot fix this in general, but we can reduce the effect by doing a
single sleep. The multiplication works fine with an unsigned long argument
up until a sleep time of about 4m milliseconds. This is over an hour and
we can be sure that delays of that length are not useful.

Update the mdelay() function to call udelay() only once with the
calculated delay value.

81ea00838c efi_loader: PSCI reset and shutdown
When an operating system started via bootefi tries to reset or power off
this is done by calling the EFI runtime ResetSystem(). On most ARMv8 system
the actual reset relies on PSCI. Depending on whether the PSCI firmware
resides the hypervisor (EL2) or in the secure monitor (EL3) either an HVC
or an SMC command has to be issued.

The current implementation always uses SMC. This results in crashes on
systems where the PSCI firmware is implemented in the hypervisor, e.g.
qemu-arm64_defconfig.

The logic to decide which call is needed based on the device tree is
already implemented in the PSCI firmware driver. During the EFI runtime
the device driver model is not available. But we can minimize code
duplication by merging the EFI runtime reset and poweroff code with
the PSCI firmware driver.

As the same HVC/SMC problem is also evident for the ARMv8 do_poweroff
and reset_misc routines let's move them into the same code module.

Instead of collecting partitions in a flat list, create a hierarchy
within the mtd_info structure: use a partitions list to keep track of
the partitions of an MTD device (which might be itself a partition of
another MTD device), a pointer to the parent device (NULL when the MTD
device is the root one, not a partition).

By also saving directly in mtd_info the offset of the partition, we
can get rid of the mtd_part structure.

21cc1fb5af mtd: mtdpart: add a generic mtdparts-like parser
The current parser is very specific to U-Boot mtdparts implementation.
It does not use MTD structures like mtd_info and mtd_partition. Copy
and adapt the current parser in drivers/mtd/mtd-uclass.c (to not break
the current use of mtdparts.c itself) and write some kind of a wrapper
around the current implementation to allow other commands to benefit
from this parsing in a user-friendly way.

This new function will allocate an mtd_partition array for each
successful call. This array must be freed after use by the caller.
The given 'mtdparts' buffer pointer will be moved forward to the next
MTD device (if any, it will point towards a '\0' character otherwise).

f86787280b mtd: nand: Pass mode information to nand_page_io_req
The NAND sub-layers are likely to need the MTD_OPS_XXX mode information
in order to decide if they should enable/disable ECC or how they should
place the OOB bytes in the provided OOB buffer.

Add a field to nand_page_io_req to pass this information.

9bfc3fde9c mtd: add get/set of_node/flash_node helpers
We are going to begin using the mtd->dev.of_node field for MTD device
nodes, so let's add helpers for it. Also, we'll be making some
conversions on spi_nor (and nand_chip eventually) too, so get that ready

ccbc8b2fdd firmware: ti_sci: Add support for processor control services
TI-SCI message protocol provides support for controlling of various
physical cores available in SoC. In order to control which host is
capable of controlling a physical processor core, there is a processor
access control list that needs to be populated as part of the board
configuration data.

Introduce support for the set of TI-SCI message protocol apis that
provide us with this capability of controlling physical cores.

In general, we expect to function at a device level of abstraction,
however, for proper operation of hardware blocks, many clocks directly
supplying the hardware block needs to be queried or configured.

32cd25128b firmware: Add basic support for TI System Control Interface (TI SCI) protocol
Texas Instrument's System Control Interface (TI SCI) message protocol is
used in Texas Instrument's System on Chip (SoC) such as those in the K3
family AM654 SoC to communicate between various compute processors with
a central system controller entity.

The TI SCI message protocol provides support for management of various
hardware entities within the SoC. Add support driver to allow
communication with system controller entity within the SoC using the
mailbox client.

This is mostly derived from the TI SCI driver in Linux located at
drivers/firmware/ti_sci.c.
