SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel style When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. Add support for a saving build objects in a separate directory. Modifications are based on the linux kernel approach and support two use cases: 1) Add O= to the make command line 'make O=/tmp/build all' 2) Set environement variable BUILD_DIR to point to the desired location 'export BUILD_DIR=/tmp/build' 'make' The second approach can also be used with a MAKEALL script 'export BUILD_DIR=/tmp/build' './MAKEALL' Command line 'O=' setting overrides BUILD_DIR environent variable. When none of the above methods is used the local build is performed and the object files are placed in the source directory.

cmd: mtd: add 'mtd' command There should not be a 'nand' command, a 'sf' command and certainly not a new 'spi-nand' command. Write a 'mtd' command instead to manage all MTD devices/partitions at once. This should be the preferred way to access any MTD device. For onenand the arg_off_size() is left in common/cmd_onenand.c. It should use now the common arg_off() function, but as I could not test onenand I let it there ... mtd: resync with Linux-3.7.1 This patch is essentially an update of u-boot MTD subsystem to the state of Linux-3.7.1 with exclusion of some bits: - the update is concentrated on NAND, no onenand or CFI/NOR/SPI flashes interfaces are updated EXCEPT for API changes. - new large NAND chips support is there, though some updates have got in Linux-3.8.-rc1, (which will follow on top of this patch). To produce this update I used tag v3.7.1 of linux-stable repository. The update was made using application of relevant patches, with changes relevant to U-Boot-only stuff sticked together to keep bisectability. Then all changes were grouped together to this patch. dm: implement a MTD uclass Implement a Memory Technology Device (MTD) uclass. It should include most flash drivers in the future. Though no uclass ops are defined yet, the MTD ops could be used. drivers: mtd: add Microchip PIC32 internal non-CFI flash driver. PIC32 internal flash devices are parallel NOR flash divided into number of banks to allow erase-programming in one while fetch and execution continues on other. As the flash banks are memory mapped stored code can be executed directly from flash (XIP), also there is additional hardware logic to prefetch and cache contents to improve execution performance. These flash can also be used to store user data (like environment). Flash erase and programming are handled by on-chip NVM controller. Driver implemented driver model but MTD is not really support.
