Heroku engineering is a distributed team working on distributed systems. Over 70% of our engineers and managers are remote employees.
We use many tools that remote employees are likely familiar with to do our jobs, including, but not limited to: Slack, G Suite, Hangouts, Github, etc.
Teams and/or the engineering organization as a whole has offsites roughly once every quarter.
