# Description This small change allows tables to be grouped by date. It was previously failing because nushell didn't know how to represent the date as a string. This change allows the date to be formatted in rfc3339 format with subseconds represented as dot milliseconds. This formatted datetime representation is already understood by nushell. nu-protocol
The nu-protocol crate holds the definitions of structs/traits that are used throughout Nushell. This gives us one way to expose them to many other crates, as well as make these definitions available to each other, without causing mutually recursive dependencies.
