Make it point to the version currently in use.

4872ddb780 Accept arrays in parse_config's method_missing 
A single-element array allows Rspec's its behaviour to be worked around
and allow options containing dots to be tested using its.

This is already implemented by resources such as `json` and those based
on it (e.g. xml).

Related to issue #875.

a6cff007ed Fix Windows escaping of Windows package names 
This resolves #5235 and supersedes #5238.

Instead of using `-match` use `-like` when querying the Windows registry. This
completely removes the problem of trying to clean the string for a regex and
just let's Powershell do that with `-like`.

I confirmed this works with the use case of having a package name such as
`Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x86) - 14.28.29325` work as-is
without any modification.

918b7fe840 grub_conf - handle no menuentry config 
Fixes #5305

grub_conf assumes for grub2 that the config (default `/etc/default/grub`) contains `menuentry` lines. i.e. entries in the menu of kernels to boot.

A customer reports, and we can reproduce on the Vagrant `centos/8` image, that the default config for grub2 contains no such entries.

b2e62b5b2f Run ps with an ulimited width on linux 
On some systems the output of ps may be truncated, which may prevent
profiles from working as intended.

Some implementations specifically mention that the output width is
undefined "(it may be 80, unlimited, determined by the TERM variable,
and so on)".

This fixes #5226.

08b7e584d7 Fix mysql_session stdout, stderr and exit_status parameters 
A feature introduced in #5124 changed how the mysql_session resource works to
where stdout, stderr, and exit_status no longer worked. The Lines class only
exposes output instead of stdout, stderr and exit_status.

As a work around, this adds backwards compatibilty for stdout, stderr and

8318e73237 Supports Scientific Linux in service resource 
Currently when using Scientific Linux the user will be prompted with the

6d340b323c Allow ‘=‘ character in CLI inputs 
Fixes #5131

Due to the use of `#split(‘=‘)` against inputs supplied via the CLI we had an edge case where inputs with `’=‘` in the value would cause a breakage.

This PR supplies a test for the regression and fixes the bug with a regex solution.

dada8ea074 Add the generic 'darwin' to the service resource 
macOS 11 Big Sur will be released later this year. Current beta versions
return 10.16 as the version, but the product name has changed from 'Mac
OS X' to 'macOS'. Train probably needs to be modified to deprecate
'mac_os_x' as a platform in favor of 'macos' but that would be a
significant downstream change. Train does fall back to 'darwin' on macOS
10.16, so by adding darwin to the list of platform names for the service
resource we are able to work around this for the moment.

This is the only location where mac_os_x is currently being used in
InSpec. Because we're in a case statement on platform rather than the
more generic platform family, we can't simply remove mac_os_x in favor
of darwin.

350c0bfe8f Handle waiver expiration dates being YAML strings 
This is technically incorrect YAML, but if you transcode YAML between several tools you may end up with a date/time value being an explicit string.
It would be helpful if InSpec supported any string value that easily translates to a Time.

Fixes #5037

The YAML parser may parse a waiver timestamp as a Time rather than a Date. Even when the user doesn't care about time, they may be using a tool that outputs YAML with trailing zeroes for hour, minutes, seconds etc.

a1129f9efc Allows input and control to have the same name 
In https://github.com/inspec/inspec/issues/4936 the issue was reported that naming an input the same as a control caused an unexpected failure.

In that particular case, the naming was a result of a pre-waivers workaround which is no longer necessary, but ultimately a breakage of that name clash is an unexpected occurrance.

Due to how inputs are named and registered, `__apply_waivers` thinks that an object is a waiver that is not a waiver and tries to process it. On the micro level, it breaks when trying to pass a variable to a string as if it were a Hash.

It is imperative that we preserve 100% of the current featureset, pass our tests, and fix this edge case along with new test coverage for the failure.

This PR updates the code to do a slightly more elegant and small ‘waiver check’ to stop the namespace clash from breaking our code.

89a0b44c64 Refactored and moved Resource.create_dsl to ProfileContext. 
ProfileContext#to_resources_dsl is the only usage of it.
The responsibility for this code should be on ProfileContext.

Refactored a majority of #create_dsl to be a 2-line long Module.new
instead of 36 lines. Much less magic. Still has an anonymous module
but it is now much easier to address and debug.

cea752a01d Tweak for aws resources to determine if they're still under test. 
Everyone now has an `inspec` method, but the AWS ones still return
nil as their backend hasn't been set up.

This seems wrong...

b38a3b05f9 Reworked Resource.__register's metaprogramming to be as small as possible. 
Mostly involved pushing up all the regular initialize code to a
regular method, calling that, THEN doing super up to the resource
initialize.

This brings __register's Class.new to 5 lines.

43f520b4a8 Merged Inspec::Plugins::Resource to Inspec::Resource. 
This also removes Inspec::ResourceBehaviors and Inspec::ResourceDSL.

All class methods look like class methods.
All instance methods look like instance methods.

There is still too much clever going on with __register creating
another anonymous subclass, but I think I can work that out/down too.

81dfe21a98 First pass reworking LibraryEvalContext. 
This takes 3 anonymous Class.new w/ no superclasses, no documentation,
and no obvious clue as to what anything is and drops it down to 2
Class.new w/ superclasses, documents what it can, and makes it much
more clear what is going on. (yet, still not clear)

It also actually uses LibraryEvalContext. Having names is important.
Probably more important than any of the rest of this diff.

One extra thing this adds is Module.find_class_instance_variable and
hooks it up to Resource.__resource_registry. This allows it to find a
class-level registry regardless of whether it was hidden in an
anonymous superclass or not.

fdc281d19c Clean up the end of our custom require. 
There are only 2 options. Shortcutting one of them with a `require` just
makes it messy. Use `if`. It's really basic. Basic is good. Maybe we
should try to push towards basic and good. It would be work but make
us happier in the long run.

  loops with breaks/returns.
+ Remove nonsensical duplication of key formats. (should push up or remove)

ceab1cbdac Refactored crontab resource 
Specifically the parsing was pretty unreadable. This refactoring
emphasizes using a default hash and merging in the differences for
what was parsed. Everything is funneled through one `merge_crontab`
method that does the actual parsing and the system vs user differences
are merged in after in their respective parse methods.

Now discovers the first available conf file from a list of known
paths. Might have to expand based on various distros.

Had to tweak the tests because the mock loader mocks EVERYTHING every
time. :/

* Removed Resource#inspect (calling to_s) to make debugging a happy experience.
* Added ResourceBehavior.toggle_inspect to add/remove a basic inspect.
* Added `--inspect` flag to `shell` command. Call toggle_inspect unless --inspect used.
* Cleaned up matchers.rb and removed most explicit calls to inspect.
* Added ResourceInspector to rspec's INSPECTOR_CLASSES.

Having a ton of conditions with `%w{one-string}.include?(platform)` is
incredibly wasteful and slow. Apparently about 17x slower:

fa2f2c2caa make command.exist? POSIX conform 
With the current implementation, on a Linux system without bash
command.exist? always returns false. 'sh -c' is guaranteed to exist on a
POSIX-conform system [1] whereas 'bash -c' only works if bash is
actually installed.

835bd2be8c A clumsy but effective way of usually dodging windows filesystem length restrictions. 
Still definitely possible to run afoul of that issue, but that is not specific to
this feature, and frankly one might consider increasing thier FS path length
as a solution, as well.

+ Removed ControlEvalContext.rule_context entirely pushing into Rule

Fix auditd resource processing of action and list 
Per auditctl(8), the -a option can have either list,action or
action,list. This PR matches against valid actions for the action field
and passed the remainder off to the list field.

3af3df34d7 remove inspec/jq from pkg_deps/pkg_build_deps 
It's included as a dep in the scaffolding itself, and the multiple
dependencies cause failures when building (ty @smacfarlane <3)

`jq` is also no longer needed, it was an artifact of legacy testing

f2e4fb549c Address and fix all our ruby 2.7 warnings & errors. 
This does NOT include fixes for our dependencies that are also having
2.7 warnings (which cause our functional tests to fail because for
some reason we expect stderr to be empty, which is brittle).

I've got upstream PRs to fix all of those. My tests pass locally. I
could push a commit that modifies the Gemfile to use my forks, but I'd
like to see how this fares for now.

a598356e12 Strip down plugin helper and change windows prefix execution. 
Powershell doesn't use "&&" and we have it all over the tests.
Changing to ";".

Also starting to unify the plugin helper w/ the functional helper
since it has a LOT of duplication.

override global methods. Renaming this to rubygem and providing a

dab91a321a Improve testing for yum.repo in CentOS 8 
The output for ``yum -v repolist all`` changes slightly in CentOS 8. There are
two specific changes:

1. EL8 is no longer trailing the repo name with release version and arch (i.e.
   base instead of base/7/x86)
2. EL8 no longer adds a trailing newline on the last repo and instead has a line
   with ``Total packages:``. This means the repo listed last will never show up.

A fix was introduced in #4566 however the tests still use CentOS 7 yum output
instead of dnf repolist output. One issue was still discovered where it was
including the ``Total packages`` line in the last repository. This includes a
regex for to work around that and fixes for the tests.

8d51d878f6 Fixed users resource when "Last password change" is "never". 
Extended quick_resource to have platform methods and a new string
command mock. The named resource to mock may now be a symbol.

Added a new test that shows how to use quick_resource with multiple commands.

ebf90ca140 Added Resource.backfill_supports! to provide platform inheritance. 
This make it so resources like yaml (which subclasses json) have their
platform information filled in properly.

This still isn't being called. Not sure where the right entry point
is... but the method is now available and allowed me to do analysis on
the rest of the resources.

9369bad99a Fixed inspec lazy resource loader for rspec test dsl (eg before/after) 
This does NOT fix lazy loading of resources at the describe block
level. I need to figure out where our backend/inspec/whatever is in
that context and it looks like we don't have one available.

Ruby calculation for passwordage. 
Change calculation for passwordage from inspec.cmd to ruby date calculation.
Added require "date"
Parse provided date and calculate against Date.today.
