`exec` replaces the currently running shell with a new command.
|
|
On successful completion, `exec` never returns. `exec` cannot be used

inside a pipeline.

`exec emacs` starts up the emacs text editor, and exits `fish`.
|
|
When emacs exits, the session will terminate.
