This removes the awkward secondary logic.
Note that we still ship a function called `__terlar_git_prompt`
because people who picked the prompt will still be calling it - we
don't update the prompt.
This runs build_tools/style.fish, which runs clang-format on C++, fish_indent on fish and (new) black on python.
If anything is wrong with the formatting, we should fix the tools, but automated formatting is worth it.
I hate doing this but I am tired of touching a fish script as part of
some change and having `make style` radically change it. Which makes
editing fish scripts more painful than it needs to be. It is time to do
a wholesale reformatting of these scripts to conform to the documented
style as implemented by the `fish_indent` program.
- Fix branch for older git version (--short for symbolic-ref was not
available on git 1.7.9.5)
- Use index (git status) for checking if staged
- Add status indication for copied
- Remove variables for statuses (less litter in the variables)
- Remove usage of eval to echo and set_color
- Replace printf where possible with echo -n
